Erskine Interiors

I really wanted to use the local business like J L. I too have experienced very poor customer service. I have had to do a lot of follow up and still do not have the quote for my two rooms. They came out and measured 2 months ago! I am told it was emailed to me but it was not. I hope to get my quote today, as I am very ready to get this job scheduled. I am not sure if I want to go with Erskine or not with the experience I have had so far! The rep I have been working with is not very attentive and not customer focused. I have to believe they have lost other potential business due to her lack of follow up. It’s really a shame!
I am nervous to use them for fear that the job will be as poor as the customer service!

I consult with Erskine Wood Floors when I have any flooring needs, whether it be a quick sand/​refinish or a complete remodel, they are the most knowledgeable I’ve come across. have never run into any issues, will continue to use.

I felt compelled to post here because I had the opposite experience of these others. Recently I had to help my mom with the management duties on her rental properties while she recovered from hip replacement surgery. I went up to check on the place after the renters moved out and discovered the carpet in one of the units was destroyed (college kids). Erskine was the 3^rd place I called and had the quickest turnaround time. While not the cheapest, they worked with me on price and got the carpet installed quickly before the new renters arrived — all while I was in Chicago taking care of my mom. I thought they were very accommodating to my situation to get the job done fast. I wouldn’t hesitate to call Erskine again.

VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE
My wife and I had a strong desire to use a local Flooring company for new flooring in our house so we went to Erskine’s showroom. The sales rep suggested that we have someone come out to our house to help us determine flooring options. Sounded like a great idea, but this quickly exposed the stores terrible customer service.
No one ever bothered to call us (Strike 1), so we had to call the store to request a home visit.
The day of the appointment, the sales rep showed up to our house 45 minutes late. (Strike 2). He did a bore job helping guide us in flooring, but I let him take our floor plans so that he could calculate the square footage and give use some idea of costs. He NEVER called us back with the information (Strike 3). I had to call again and ask him if he ever calculated the numbers. Then I asked him to return our floor plans in the mail. 2 weeks later, we never received the plans so I had to go into the store and pick them up myself (Strike 4).
We tried really hard to give the company the benefit of the doubt, but unfortunately for the owners of the company, I will take my $ 7000 job to another company.
I can’t recommend Erskine based on my experiences. Hopefully this was an exception to their normal business practices.
