First & Main Shopping Center

This is a cute little place to get away to and enjoy a summer evening shopping. Not as developed as Legacy Village or Crocker Park, but its a nice option if its close by. My friend and I got smoothies and Cali Juice, and walked around the premises for a while. I believe they also hosted a few Harry Potter themed parties here, centered at the Learned Owl Book Shop.

First & Main is a decent shopping center that was a necessary addition to the Historic District of Hudson. Here, you can find a variety of stores and restaurants, as well as year round events. Food options include: Heinen’s Village Market, Caribou Coffee, Aladdins (see review), Cali Juice (see review), San Francisco Oven, and a few other options. There are a few shops, both chains and independents. The new Hudson library can also be found here. However, I find the selection of businesses to be just average, although there are a few ones that are great. If you wanted to live down in the Historic District without having to maintain an older home, there are new townhomes being built here that appear to be very nice. Overall, if you are in Hudson or surrounding communities, this is a good place to stop and spend some time. However, unlike Legacy Village, it’s not worth more than a 10 or 15 minute drive.
