I enjoy the racing at this track. It is a fairly inexpensive outing for a family. Adults are now $ 12.00, seniors $ 10.00(I don’t recall the child’s price). You are allowed to bring your own food/drinks, though no glass containers or alcoholic beverages are allowed. This is not a fancy track. It is ¼ mile, paved, with some really entertaining racing. Food is typical race track food with pricing reflective typical of this type of track. I give them three stars because they don’t make an effort to enhance their customer’s experience. The loud speaker to the west of the«tower» hasn’t worked in at least a month, and though it has been reported to staff on multiple occasions, it remains inoperative. Their website is not very useful. It usually gives the details of the next scheduled race day, but to find something as simple as the admission prices can be a challenge(or impossible). The flag signals and hand signals used in racing can be like a «secret code,» but if the attendee could interpret those«secret codes,» it would enhance their viewing experience. It would not be that difficult to put customer focused data on their website, information which is intended to enhance attendees experience and motivate first time attendees or return visits. I continue to go to this track and do enjoy the experience. However, it does seem that management should realize what an asset the Internet can be for promoting interests and attendance. Instead, it appears that management treats the Internet resource as something requiring minimal attention and maybe even a PIA. Fixing the speakers seems like a no brainer. They have an announcer for the races, who I assume is paid for his efforts. If you are seated in from of or to the west of the«tower,» you can’t understand any of the announcements during the races. Shame.
