Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft

This company is for the birds. So sad the wrong people are running it. They have all this marketing at the wrong time. Way to push sales people. They’re overpriced with the items they have in stock. Get a clue and a new group to run the company. This whole year I’ve seen it go down the tubes. Bye bye Joann

This is like Joann Fabric headquarters. Ample parking. Many check out lanes. Friendly. Theres a classroom and training center. Guest service building. A conference center. It’s clean. No complaints here.

I used to love Jo-Ann’s way back in the day when their location was at Chapel Hill (wow, this really reveals my age!). Although it did not have the large amount of scrap booking, beading & furniture it offers now the quality or product & staff were 10x’s nicer.
Now I hate this place! I maybe go here 3x’s a year but sadly, Hobby Lobby has better deals on their fabrics. I was really disappointed to notice that this location might be a bit… racist? I’m not sure if this is the best choice of wording to describe their lack of fabrics that have an Asian, Native American or African print on them but it’s next to none if you’re looking. And their prices are so outrageously high!!! The staff is never polite or helpful and the store itself is so overwhelming.
Idk why I even bother… every time I shop here I leave frustrated and angry because I have to make what I want & can’t buy it because their prices or lack of new product. Always a disappointment!!!

I would like for someone to open a craft store with bountiful supplies of yarn, fabric and notions AND knowledgeable & crafty sales staff. Jo-Ann’s is not that store. They might have the selection (though not always), and the sales staff often doesn’t always know exactly what they have in stock. I consider Jo-Ann’s a go-​to place; I do my research before going in so I know exactly what they have and where I can find it. One thing I find troubling about Jo-Ann’s is that they seem to be more and more reluctant to contact other stores to check stock. The clerk actually tried to explain that they don’t really do that.
You can’t beat the inventory but I’m still open for a better replacement.

This store is very large and has a lot of materials for your crafts. But i would not recommend assuming that the employees are very crafty themselves. If you go in candidly seeking tips, try the Internet first!

Love it!!! I sew a lot and with 2 boys we are constantly doing craft projects. This is the main store and we come here AT LEAST once a month. They always have a good sale going on and we can usually get things cheap. I try to come alone here, so I can get what I need without interruption. I suggest doing the same otherwise you spend your whole time entertaining the kiddos.

Joann’s was unable to ship my order in a timely manner. I cancelled my order, but they refused to refund me on any of the shipping costs.
