Livingston Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center

This is a terrible place. The staff are not helpful and the social workers border on mildly verbally abusive. A loved one was there for rehab following mrsa infection and had a Picc line in place. They didn’t have his antibiotics, pain, or psychiatric medication. When he asked to sign out so he could go home and take his psych meds the receptionist said «of course, remember to sign in when you return.» The social workers then sent the police to his house and threatened that if he wasn’t back in an hour they «would call the police.» But they had already called the police! And they didn’t even know his name– they gave the officer the wrong first name. When he returned to Livingston Hills the social workers assigned to him told him he «obviously couldn’t handle acting like an adult so he might as well sign himself out AMA.» They said this to an adult who hadn’t had psychiatric medication or pain medication in over 48 hours. SO UNPROFESSIONAL. When I arrived to sort things out they were combative and rude. I understand they need to protect the safety of a patient who had a Picc line but their behavior and bedside manner is AWFUL. Stay away from this nursing home AT ALL COSTS.
