This is some of the best beers I have ever had and I am a fan of the BYOF environment, as it allows me a much wider variety of food options. If you go tell the bartender what you have for food, they will even give you a pairing recommendation. The beer prices are about average for this quality, but you pay for what you get. Anyone looking for a beer in this area must stop here.

Cool place to hang out at, big and spacious with a bunch of tables throughout the place. Large L shaped bar and another Bar top section in between the columns. Windows that look in on their«brews» and you can sit there and watch them fill people’s growlers when they come in. They don’t have a food menu but just have«snacks menu» that are brought in or something. I think they have an oven on site to heat up the pretzels but all other munchies are from local places. There was a «trail mix» section and it looked like chocolate chunks and stuff.(Didn’t have any. I’m not a sweet food foodie. Just saw it) The beer was good. I myself enjoy wheat beers mostly and they didn’t have any of those available. I enjoyed the lighter beer they had available though. FYI don’t ask for a lemon… No fruit in beer in the brewery. sorry I’m not sorry but I do enjoy my beer with fruit. Live music on the weekends. It’s pretty loud in there bough since the place is so big and open. Come and have some brews. Bring a board game. Listen to the live music and order a pizza from TC Landos down the street.

Went here for a yoga class ! It was great! It did get a little crowded so I definitely will be arriving earlier next time. The bar itself looked nice and I wouldn’t mind coming back to try it out ! I noticed they have a lot of board games available that I’m assuming are for grabs if you decide to enjoy a beer with your friends.

I love this place and I don’t even drink alcohol. It’s just a nice place to hang out and socialize. I love that there are board games to play, darts boards, and trivia. Now they have live music too on some nights. Hooray for Medusa!

my boyfriend and i came here yesterday for the first time, and really enjoyed ourselves. the layout is quite large, and very open. i’m happy for them that they have such a big space, and suspect that during busy hours, they probably need it(also happy about that). we arrived at about 3pm on a lazy saturday, but there were still plenty of patrons at the bar, and also tables throughout. we sat at two of the last available seats at the bar, and were promptly greeted by one of the staff. they are super friendly, chill, and pretty awesome. if i lived in town, i could easily become a regular, based on service alone. my boyfriend and i each ordered a flight of different beers, so we could try as many as possible. now, here’s the thing– i really love it here, but i don’t totally love the beer itself. there were really only 2 of the 9 collective beers we ordered that i found tasty(which is 100% subjective, and not a reflection of the brewers). the ones i liked were the blighty(English porter), and the chapterhouse(belgian tripel). while these were my favorite of the bunch that we tried, they still don’t rank very high for me on my overall list of beers i’ve had in my lifetime. my boyfriend had some more favorable comments regarding the beer, and did like them more than i did. we will absolutely be back, and i do really like it here, but i think my palate just doesn’t quite sync up with their offerings.

Place gets packed but it has a real fun atmosphere. Beers are reasonably priced and the service was good. The bar gets crowded so find a seat if you can.

This is a cool place. Mellow vibe, no TV(except for the big screen for big games), cool love music on weekends. And beer! Oh my, the beer. They make big beers here. If you prefer Budweiser or similar watery lagers, there are places you’d like in Marlboro. But if you can handle something with a name like Zweihander(you don’t really need two hands to pick it up) or chocolate infused stout, you’ll dig it. The staff is laid back. It’s BYOF, just bus your pizza boxes properly. ‘Nuff ced. Excellent addition to Main Street.

Down to earth, unpretentious tap room. Lots of space for you and your friends, plus there are board games if you get bored. Try the pretzels, or BYOF.

Finally a great space to hang out after work to get away from the Horseshoe Pub. Solid beers and friendly staff that definitely love their work.

Fresh beer is always better. Sure there aren’t too many choices, but all are authentic ales made on the premises.

Really great selection of beers to try and you can pay per sample. You can order giant pretzels but other than that you need to bring your own food, which is a cool feature of the brewery! The bartender who helped us was so informative and nice — he really made the experience fun!

LOVE this place. We live in WA state now where the craft beer seen is in a whole new level than New England, MA especially. So you guys needed Medusa to set the stage! Try the limited beers which will be on the chalk board — not on the draft list and your server will probably not tell you about them. But make sure you do the whole draft list. They also do flights. You don’t NEED to just have pints here. Also 3 or 5oz pours available. Bring your own food. We did a compare on the local pizza and unless you want the flatbread pizza from Rail Trail then don’t do T.C. Lando’s. Go with Hudson Pizza right next door.

As someone who is not generally a fan of IPA beer, this place isn’t for me. With a small menu of beers(8 beers or so), only 2 of them aren’t IPA or something similar. Their two remaining options, and Brown Ale and an English Stout(?if I remember correctly) are average. Not bad, but not memorable. The group of people I went with tend to enjoy IPAs and hoppier beers, and they seemed to enjoy the drinks more than I did. Trivia on Wednesdays is a fun thing to do, but the categories were wonky and lasted forever. But it is something to do. Overall, for the time being I am going to say this place isn’t bad, but not memorable. Perhaps as the company ages, the beer list will expand and some of the kinks will be worked out. I’m not sure I’ll be back either way.

Stumbled across this place on our way to Hartford, CT from Portland, ME. Did a sampler plank of 4 of ales and they were all very well done with enough hops to make Patti and I happy. Then Patti got a pint of the Imperial Ale and I had the Island of the Misfit Hops that were very flavorful with the floral nose and the nice bite that pale ales have. Only shortcoming is they serve no real food, just pretzels but there’s a pizza place next door and a sandwich shop next door to pizza place. Medusa encourages bringing food in to complement their beers. Will swing back through here when I’m in the area.

Medusa is awesome. We’ve been a few times since they opened not too long ago. They don’t serve food besides pretzels(which are delicious), but they let you bring your own from home or any of the takeout places nearby. The bar itself has an industrial vibe and you can see into the back where they brewing tanks are. Overall, the big draw for this place is that they serve a wide variety of delicious beer. Almost all of them are above average quality and some of them are fantastic tasting. They also let you play board games and are pretty tolerant of the intense yelling that tends to come along with drunk gaming.

This is a tough one for me, really! I’m so stuck between 3 and 4 stars, but ultimately, I probably wouldn’t come back here and the main reason why is that I think they need to tweak their brews to make them a bit stronger. This is not to say that I think it’s a bad place — I really don’t! It’s very nice inside. I love the décor. Big windows looking out onto Hudson’s main drag. We came at 4pm on a Thursday and there were already a great deal of people there. While we stayed it really filled up. Good for them! They have a really cool logo and one of the waitresses we had was very chatty and personable and willing to offer up information about the beers, what order to drink them in etc. That made up for our first waitress, who really didn’t say anything about the beers or anything else… she was kind of sullen… not a huge deal but would have appreciated more interaction on our first visit. The beers themselves are priced reasonably. We got the witbier, the English porter, the American stout and the citra legacy. The porter and witbier were unimpressive. The stout was solid. The citra legacy was also solid(we tried the cask version aged on simcoe hops — even better!). My favorite overall was the Emilisatie session IPA, that was delicious and I happily enjoyed a full pour of that with my boyfriend. Overall, hope the beer improves with practice, it’s already pretty good with a few hits and some misses. And the waitstaff could be a little more inviting, I would’ve loved to hear more about their story and chat about their brews. I trust they will work out the kinks in time.

Excellent brewpub that displays an impressive range of styles that veer away from the IPAs that are dominating most breweries now. They had three different mild British styles on tap as well as a very good, but big(7.2%) stout. The tap room is very big and has all the dark woods you’d expect in a New England beer bar.

Just a few weeks old and already quite the popular spot in the area, Medusa Brewing Company started as a project which was partially funded on Kickstarter. I was lucky enough to be able to wedge my way in on their grand opening and it was an absolute blast. The space is great. It’s big, it’s open and it’s tastefully designed. There’s windows enabling people to take a peek at the brewery side of the building and a very large bar which can accommodate at least twenty people if not more. There’s also a top-of-the-line growler filling station which is straight from Austria and which enables growlers to stay fresh much longer than the typical few days. Awesome. As far as the beers go, some were very tasty while others pretty good, and nothing was bad. There were no wild fermented ales in there and mostly accessible styles including an ESB, an English Porter, a few IPAs and even a dubbel. The staff was friendly and they’ll be introducing more features to the space including snacks and eventually up to twenty beers on tap instead of the eight which are presently offered. My only gripe was that the tap list is located in the middle right corner of the bar making it impossible for people by the entrance and on the left side of the bar to see what’s available from the board. They did print a beer list to help but when it’s busy, those were a hard to come by. Just a minor kink that I’m sure will be addressed. I look forward to returning!
