4 years ago, I gained about ten pounds from a thyroid problem. The doctors said that the weight would disappear as the medicine started to work, however, the weight remained on. For about 3.5 years, I remained bitter that I had gained the weight in no way that was my fault– I hadn’t been eating badly etc. Finally, I joined a gym and the woman who signed me up recommended Dustin when I said that I needed a trainer. When I first met Dustin at the gym, not only had I gained over ten pounds, but I also hadn’t worked out in years, many, many, many years. I never liked working out, but I felt unhealthy and hated the weight that I had gained. He sat down with me and discussed my goals and concerns and put my mind at ease that I could accomplish what I wanted to accomplish. I jokingly lifted up my t-shirt and pulled at my belly fat and said, I want this to go away and I want to get into shape. When we began to workout together, he explained all the different moves we were doing so that I understood their benefits and how I could do them on my own. There were many times when I thought that I couldn’t finish, but he pushed me to go on and I always did. Working with Dustin was the best gift I could have ever given to myself. He is a very talented trainer. He knows what he is doing and he is also one of the sweetest and friendliest people that I have every met. He is a great partner to have whether you are new to the workout scene or a regular. I highly recommend him.

I went to Dustin after having fallen off the bandwagon and neglecting to work out for, admittedly, several years. What I love most about him is his approach– he treats fitness like technology, constantly updating routines based on his latest learnings, and his education is seemingly never-ending. It is clear that Dustin truly loves his work. I was a bit hesitant to make the investment in a trainer, never having had one, but now I understand the true value in doing so. I learned foundational techniques and principles that are critical to everything I do in the gym. And, by challenging myself in the safe environment with Dustin, I now feel comfortable to challenge myself independently. I can’t thank Dustin enough for helping me find my way back to a healthy lifestyle and for reminding me how much I love strength training. If you have the chance to train with him yourself, don’t pass it up!

Dustin has been my trainer for almost a year and a half now. He has worked with me through a stress fracture in my femur, a broken jaw(I’m a klutz!), pregnancy, and now post-pregnancy. He has single handily changed how I move my body, my attitude towards the gym, and how I workout. I look forward to every session with him! On my pregnancy: I was super nervous and not sure what to expect and he made me feel completely comfortable and at ease. Dustin had me rest, which was great because at one point my hands were shaking, and brought water when I didn’t even realize I was actually thirsty and needed it. I could hardly walk on Saturday, but I stretched and went to the gym on Sun & Mon. While at the gym some lady who was recently pregnant confided in her«trainer» that she is pregnant and wanted to take special care as she had lost the last baby. Her trainer just nodded, smiled, and had her do a bunch of upper body stuff as well as some terribly formed dead lifts. All I could think was, I’m so glad Dustin took the time and didn’t blow me off like that trainer just did because if I was that other pregnant lady I would be even more freaked out about working out. So! Thank you for actually caring, I noticed and greatly appreciated it!“ Post-Pregnancy: My baby just turned 4 months old and I’m 5 pounds away from my pre-pregnancy weight. Dustin has been amazing, easing me back into our routine and helping me rebuild my confidence in my body and strength.
