Bob and Anita, Great service again, needed a skate repair and they would have had it for me that day if needed! Good people!

Be very careful purchasing product from this store as they will not allow returns. This store is not customer friendly. I had some skates sharpen and after using for the first time after the sharpening the skates had bad chattering when trying to stop. I brought the skates back within a few days and explain the issue thinking they would own up to a bad sharpening. Well I was wrong, they charge me again to sharpen the skates correctly. Beware if you purchase something that does not go right because you own. As long as things go the store way, everything is rosy, god forbid something goes wrong, BECAUSEYOUWILLNOTGETANYCUSTOMERSERVICEHERE. THINICE — SKATEATYOUROWNRISK!!!

I must say, the guys at No Icing really know their stuff. I recently replaced my runners on my NB Vapor 25’s. I had my old blades profiled locally in the SF Bay area. I won’t name the place, but they had limited radius’ available, and I took some bad advice and had a 7′ radius(front and rear) on my 288 mm blades. The profiling shop here didn’t question it, and that’s what I was stuck with for a couple of months. It was horrible to say the least(ie, not enough steel on the ice when skating forwards meant no speed at all). I filled out their skater profile survey and on the same day they had made a recommendation on my profile(ended up being 8′ front, 13′ rear) and depth of hollow. Within a couple of days I had my new blades and the first time I skated on them it felt perfect. I felt like I could skate again! I’ve seen a significant improvement in my stability, speed and endurance. It’s literally the best I’ve felt on my skates and I’ve been playing hockey for a couple of decades now. I’ll get my skates sharpened locally, but for any future profiling/blade purchasing I’ll only be having that work done via No Icing. Thanks guys!

Have been an internet customer for over a year. When the family and I were in the area on a ski trip, I stopped by to save some cash on shipping my runners. Bob made a point of coming out to say Hi. All around great people. Always had quality work done on my mail order sharpening… and having it done in in person was no different. Been getting FBVs for over a year now, won’t go back to regular sharpening again.

I am an avid hockey player. I don’t play for a team; I don’t get paid, and there is no glory but among a few local novices with whom I play pond hockey in the cold season. I have to get my skates sharpened often and the place I deal with exclusively in this area is No Icing Sports. Conway Arena — don’t waste your time. Pure Hockey — don’t bother. For me it’s No Icing Sports or nothing. I might suggest having a stone of your own to get the burrs off. In my judgment, they tend to leave a little more burrs on the blades than I prefer; however, what they leave is arguably negligible. No Icing is one of the few places around that offers the Flat V sharpening. Get it! You won’t go back. Four strong stars for No Icing Sports.
