The family who runs this place DOESNOTKNOWHOWTORUN A BUSINESS! The owner/cook in the kitchen, Ted will straight talk shit about his WIFE that is at the register like«look at her up there pickin her teeth instead of takin care of these customers.» So unprofessional! Couldn’t stand the way this man treated his wife! They argue about family issues in the middle of a dinner rush, and screams at their employees. The food is good but most people don’t wanna hear family fights and random screaming when they are trying to enjoy a nice meal. SERVICESUCKSTOO. Find a better business to give your money!!!

Will not come back again. I have a sick friend thought it would be nice to stop and get her a bowl of soup to go. I was told that they were too busy for to go orders. Explained that it was just a bowl of soup and was told they were still too busy. I truly believe in supporting the local businesses but I will never come back here.

My trips to Florida to visit my retired mother are not complete without a few trips to the Oaks Café. They have the best Omletes in town(I do love my breakfasts). Food is always fresh and cooked to order. The wait staff and bussers are friendly and courteous even when busy, which appears to be most of the time. They do a very good business :). Nice atmosphere, clean and ample seating. Ted and Margaret have a very nice neighborhood spot.

This is probably not my favorite place. I wanted to try something different, but unless you’re over 70… It’s not good. Upon entering no one acknowledged us to be seated, I asked and seating yourself is the norm here. It was Saturday morning and jam packed with the senior crowd! The witted was friendly, she brought us our hot chocolates quickly. Good took about 10 minutes. I ordered 1scrambled egg, breakfast potatoes(that were bland), and 2 links, and a croissant on the side. My companion ordered an omelet, he didn’t complain. He did mention that it was a once in a lifetime experience. If you go it’s good because you can judge for yourself, but my advice, go elsewhere.

Food is ok. Service sucks. The female owner is loud and scattered. I don’t go because of her rudeness.

Went there a couple times. They screwed up my wife’s order and then copped an attitude when we said something. Not customer friendly. There was friction between the owner’s wife and our waitress who was actually pretty nice too us. I went another time with my son. Was nothing special. At this rate the«Oaks» Café should be called the«Jokes» café… and a bad«Joke» it is.

Terrible Service especially if you get owner’s wife she’s all over the place. Food average

I would say Oaks is good not great. It’s dinerish food at fairly reasonable prices and everyrhing is pretty good if uninspired. On the upside the honored my gift certificate which was a couple years old. The fries are cooked properly although they could use a tad more salt(and I don’t like a lot of salt). The breakfast deals are good. The soup and chicken parm I had were tasty. On the downside they have a banner out front advertising buy one get one half off. But if you ask about it they tell you a coupon is required. Ummmmm. What? Your banner doesn’t say that. False advertising? And I am literally sitting across from the Cole slaw and potato salad in wholesale buckets that say they need to be refrigerated. Clearly not homemade. So this is a casual place to grab a bite for breakfast lunch or dunner. Enjoy the specials. But it’s not extraordinary. :) I prefer Breakfast Station. Focus in what you do and do it well. :) The service was good. Oh and they are Big Art’s BBQ now too. No idea what’s that about but it seems a weird fit.

I haven’t been here for 2 years. The latest time we were here they were serving all you can eat crab legs. After our second order the owner/chef came out yelling people were pigs ordering all the food we could eat. We paid and left. So after hearing they had changed managers we tried it again this morning for breakfast. Food was good and quick. I ordered 1 egg, toast and coffee. $ 2.75. My friends ordered the 3 egg special for $ 3.50. Bills came and mine was $ 4.50+ and there’s was 3.50+ I questioned it and was told I had to pay for coffee, I should have gotten the special their coffee was included. Hmmm creative. Then at register one person was paying with a credit card and was told her bill was under $ 10.00 so there was a charge for using a card. The cashier then said rudely I just work here I don’t make the rules. That will be my last visit there. If, and I say if they changed hands it was to someone just as nasty and rude as the previous owners.

Visiting from Indiana, I have some family that live down here. I have eaten at the Oaks twice for breakfast this week. On my first visit me and my girlfriend were on our way to Busch Gardens and needed a quick breakfast. Oak’s Café was recommended to us. I ordered a pretty typical breakfast. Two eggs over easy, hashbrowns, bacon, and toast. She ordered chocolate chip pancakes, something she almost always orders for breakfast. The food came out in probably 4 minutes flat. My breakfast was good, nothing special and exactly what I asked for. I will say the bacon was under cooked and not good at all, but perhaps I should have asked for it to be prepared extra crispy. My girlfriend really enjoyed her pancakes, and I did too. I only took one bite but the pancake batter must not have come from a box because it was delicious. I was, however, disappointed that the syrup was hardly warm. On my second visit the whole family went which was only 6 of us and a small child. I decided to try the biscuits and gravy because let’s be honest, who doesn’t love biscuits and gravy? This is where the 3 star overall rating comes from. No complaint about the biscuits, but the gravy was god awful. It tasted like flour(they obviously didn’t cook it out) and if I had to guess was not seasoned at all because I couldn’t even spot pepper in it, although I suppose they may have used white pepper. But honestly I don’t think they seasoned it at all, and if they did it was very under seasoned and bland. I didn’t enjoy it whatsoever. I think it’s very hard to wow a guest as a mom and pop’s breakfast place, but a white gravy is simple to make. It is guaranteed you will sell a lot of it because everyone can relate to it, and all they needed to do to make that a good gravy was cook out the flour and season it with salt. I would definitely give Oak’s another chance, because I really enjoyed my first visit, and because of that visit alone I’ll give them 3 stars.

I have been passing this café for a year and never stopped in. I am glad I did!!! I found out it Greek owned = Great food!!! I had a Turkey club and nothing else and boy did it hit the spot!!! Lots of tomatoes on it and tons of bacon in other words the best club I have had in a long time!!! I don’t think they take credit cards. I will have to check on that. The waitresses were on the ball and very sociable!!! I shall return!!!
