Olive My Heart

I’ve been meaning to stop into this store for the better part of the last year as it is located minutes from my office. Since I ran out of the 18 yr balsamic I purchased at a location that uses the same supplier, I stopped in to replenish. Not only did they have exactly what I was looking for, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and their prices were lower than I expected. She got me in and out of there quickly which is a plus for my lunch hour. This is my new stop to replenish our supply of high quality oils and vinegars.

I ‘ve driven past OLIVE MY HEART a few times on my way to other appointments. Last week I wandered in and discovered a Mediterranean oasis. I felt like I had spent an hour in Italy, Greece or Portugal. Linda Coleman and her capable staff are erudite about olive oil, fresh pressings, manufacturing and storage. Upon entering you are encouraged to taste oils from European and North American groves. The differences vary by region and year. The tastes are wonderful. I’ve never encountered anything this fine in Harrods or any Gourmet food shop … Linda knows a great deal about nutrition and health benefits as well as taste and will share her knowledge if asked. The store also sells gourmet pastas, chocolates and spices from around the world at an affordable price. They offer gift baskets and tasting parties. Linda will ship to any corner of the globe. What a delightful experience.

An amazing experience and an amazing selection. I could have spent hours in the store tasting and finding out about the oils and vinegars. Unfortunately three kids all under the age of 6 with me would not allow me to do that. I will be sure to get a baby sitter before my next trip to the store which will be soon. You can really feel the passion of the owners for their products and I urge people that love food to check out this truly unique experiance.

Amazing place, cannot wait to go back!!!

Amazing selection of oils and vinegars! I’ve seen stores with huge varieties of olive oils before, but never so many vinegars. The owner is very knowledgeable and will take you through the chemistry of good olive oil if you’re so inclined. You can also try as many oils and vinegars as you’d like. I ended up with three different kinds, and can’t wait to try them on meats, fishes, and as salad dressings. Very decently priced.

This place is really incredible. I was really excited that a place like this was opening close to home., Incredible selection of oils, vinegar and spices. Unfortunately, I will never frequent this establishment again. I felt that the hostess was very knowledgeable, but I felt snubbed by her the entire time I was there. This was not because they were busy, in fact, there were only two other customers in the store. I watched at the counter, with the items I wanted to purchase, as the hostess catered to the more «Hudsonite» looking customers. As I am standing at the counter, she rings out another customer before me… I was standing at the counter for at least 5 minutes before the other customer came up. To add insult to injury, the other customer was asked if they would like to join their mailing list, they were asked if they interested in their reward program, and the three bottles they purchased were vacuum sealed. I was not offered any of these… and I was standing two feet away. Yes, I only purchased two bottles of oil… maybe that was the issue or maybe I was not the type of client they want. I do not drive a Mercedes or wear designer clothes, but I work hard for the money I do have. I have lived in the area all my life and have a lot of friends who are foodies like myself. I prefer to frequent establishments that appreciate my business. It really is a shame because they sell a good product and have a really unique store, but I will not ever step foot in this establishment again.
