Solid sandwich options. Hearty portions, reasonable prices. Set up is a little odd as when you walk in it’s unclear whether they have counter service only or table service as well. Turns out they have both. The Reuben sandwich is a highlight for sure. The southwestern chicken salad was very good. Loses a star for extremely disinterested service. Felt like one of those places where the waitress had worked too long and just didn’t care anymore. A couple people in our party tried to ask for recommendations and her reply was essentially, «Whatever you like is going to be good.» And when we tried to make small talk she didn’t engage at all. Not exactly welcoming to visitors I guess.

Katherine and I end up here on a whim and ended up having the best sandwich on this trip to NY. I had the Ruben and it was perfect piled up with just the right amount of corn beef topped with krout, Swiss, dressing and press grilled to perfection. It was the best Ruben I’ve had in a while and get the potato salad. Katherine loved her Becraft mountain chicken sandwich. We highly recommend both and can’t wait to go back.

We just stopped by and grabbed some lunch. Place is very cozy and service was excellent. Now onto the food. I got a corn beef pastrami and Mrs. got a pear chicken salad. Both were very tasty and portion is very generous. Would definitely go back

Took a drive down to Hudson & were actually going to check out Relish, which we didn’t realize was closed on Saturday. After a really good, quick craft brew at the 3-week old Hudson Brewery next door to Relish(which I highly recommend!), we went up to Warren St. and found Cascades, which turned out to be great! Portions were huge, almost too huge! I got a half a Cuban & a small salad, which was so large I ate the salad & took my ½ sandwich home with me. SO got a corned beef/pastrami w/slaw, that he got grilled(must call out the very accommodating waitress; we had a couple of off-menu requests that she didn’t blink an eye at). with a side of tuna mac salad, which arrived in a crock that was almost worthy of being a meal on its own — that went home with us too! And, they carry the most delicious brown sugar caramels that I’ve only seen in a couple of other places, that taste like my grandmother’s ‘Russian Taffy’ from my childhood.

Great spot for breakfast. I had wake up wrap, unlike most burritos this was the perfect size to keep you full without feeling overwhelmed. Try it with the hot sauce!

To add to all the glowing reviews, I think Cascades is a fantastic place for lunch. Great sandwiches(I had the Mt McKinley), great service, really lovely staff and cozy ambiance. I’ll be sure to come back!

Trust the reviews– this place is great. Casual environment with a great salad /sandwich menu. A lot of great specials too The fiesta chicken salad takes the cake … Its the best salad I’ve had in Hudson and my girlfriend and I have taken a 40 mile trip from Albany several times to have it. Cilantro-lime dressing? Nailed it.

Went for lunch on MLK Day and the place was hopping. Great cappuccinos to start and then had Reuben’s and Hot Pastrami sandwiches for lunch. Done perfectly and huge! Overall definitely worth a return visit.

first place my gf took me to when I visited her hometown, the sandwiches are generous in their portions and meat, staff was friendly and the best part, didn’t have to wait more 5 minutes for my food(I’m from SF, I’ve waited 40 minutes for a sandwich once)

Simple and straightforward. We found our way in to enjoy breakfast sandwiches with a few locals. Inexpensive and attentive waitresses. I’d recommend it to anyone for lunch or breakfast.

The chicken Caesar salad was excellent. The service was great and the outdoor dining area was dog friendly.

Both sandwiches we ordered were v tasty(bleu ridge and McKinley). Nice and big too. McKinley in particular was kind of a genius combination with the sprouts n all. Service nice, friendly and helpful. Coffee so-so, would definitely return for the food though. Best meal we had in Hudson to be honest!

Very good sandwiches and pretty good daily soups. Very friendly, casual & zippy service. Great for lunch. Eat in or call in to pick up. Soup and sandwich combo is a good deal — hearty and only $ 7.50 or $ 8.

+++ — Sandwiches are fabulous; my faves(in random order, Vesuvius, Bleu Ridge, turkey/pepper/onion on grilled ciabatta, Mount rainer) You can’t go wrong with what sandwich you pick ++ — Coconut coffee was a nice twist without tasting artificial, like Dunkin Donuts flavored coffees — Atmosphere; quaint shop with local goods, it looks like an old time country store — Those desserts looked both homemade and amazing, My diet precluded me from having one(#TeamNoShirt) + — Service; very helpful, always with a smile - — $ 1.75 for a small coffee. How is coffee in Hudson going to be more expensive than Manhattan? With that said, you get a better value just paying the $ 2 for a medium. — Too many great options; good problem to have

Sandwiches are super good. The hot chocolate is made with water though and not very good. Would lunch here again.

First of all downtown Hudson is alot of fun. Even on a busy summer weekend with a gay pride parade in town.(there with a female and just happened to come across parade.) I saw the reviews on Unilocal and stopped for sandwiches. all the reviews are accurate. Great sandwiches, served quickly at moderate prices. I had a fresh turkey sandwich with carmelized apples… and it was VERY good. Recommended.

Stopped here on our way to the airport and am glad we did. Terrific lunch spot with some amazing sandwiches. Salami venison? Loved it! Staff was friendly and courteous to boot. Highly recommended, skip the paneras of the world and come here.

This place is great. I’ve only been here to enjoy the sandwiches, but I’ve tried a few and they’ve all been fabulous. I like a place that makes a good sandwich. They’re very generous with the portions and the kettle chips are a nice touch. Coffee is good, too, which warrants a 4th star. Get the egg salad with lox.

I love any restaurant that allows me ½ sandwich and soup. There was a wonderful spot in Exeter, NH called the loaf and ladle(great cookbook) that served this combo. Makes me remember my childhood. Cascades is friendly, warm, and welcoming.
