Probably the Worst Service I have ever received in all my years of online shopping. Purchased through Amazon the Wrong color was shipped, what is worse the shoes had been previously used, When I wrote the company they fired back. «We Don’t Sell Used Shoes» basically calling me a liar and; Making Zero Attempt to help or rectify the situation, Long Story Short I sent them back over a month ago(I paid for the Shipping) still not heard back anything even after sending several follow up emails. If you want bad service inferior products and a horrible return policy go here. What should have been a simple order has turned in to a nightmare!!!

Disappointed in my recent visit. Staff were not very helpful or personable. Knew what shoe I was looking for, Brooks pure flow. We’re out of size 10 ’ s in 3 different color/styles. No offer to order and ship to the store or knowledge of the next shipment.

I have a fallen arch on one foot and want to preserve as much integrity as possible as it affects everything… VR staff have been great to ensure I have appropriate shoes, orthotics and socks to do just that for whichever activities I do. I’ve been to both the Brecksville and Hudson stores. Great experience.

Was just at Vertical Runner getting new shoes for my daughter and myself. We both had very specific needs: I have had recurring Achilles injuries and have bunions so finding comfortable shoes is very difficult. My daughter is rehabbing from two different ACL tears in a year and it’s very important she has the proper shoes with the right fit and support while she is recovering. As others have said, the staff’s knowledge is awesome. They were both incredibly helpful, patient and very detailed with the fit and our gait. While we have gotten other shoes there before, I was so pleased with their service and knowledge that I felt I had to make sure they got some credit for it by writing a review. I was really surprised by the negative reviews here, which all are based on apparently inflated pricing. For the knowledge and time they take with us, I usually don’t worry about paying their«retail» price, knowing that the quality and satisfaction with my shoe offsets any slight savings I may get from a discount or big box. Not to mention we prefer to support local business when we can. So I checked the prices of both our shoes online and I could not find them any cheaper online. My daughter’s pair was actually $ 10 less at VR than what I could find online because they gave her a student discount. I won’t go anywhere else for any of my family’s athletic shoe needs, they really are the best, don’t let the reviews about pricing stop you from going there! And if you go and they help you find a great pair of shoes, but you are worried about the price, do a quick online search and compare. If you can find them that much cheaper online, tell them, you never know!

Expensive. They seem to mark up their prices pretty crazy. I was looking at shoes there and found the exact pair at Dicks for almost $ 30 less and not on any sale… eeeek… this makes it hard to buy locally and support our small businesses.

My wife and I visited Vertical Runner in Hudson today to buy a new pair of athletic shoes for my wife to wear to exercise classes. First, let me begin with some well deserved compliments. This store has a great selection and is well organized. The sales associate who helped us was absolutely wonderful to work with. She was very helpful and seemed genuinely very interested in helping my wife to make the best possible choice. In fact, the service provided by VR’s sales associate is the kind of service I typically do not mind paying a bit more to receive — and I always prefer to buy locally when I can. The problem surfaced at checkout, my first indication the shoes my wife had picked out are $ 110, $ 117.15 with tax. While my wife was trying on the shoes,(Nike Lunar Glide+), I was curious about the price range and scanned the bar code on the box with my iPhone. The results showed one chain of stores at $ 70 and most other stores at $ 80. Again, I do not mind paying more to buy locally, particularly when the service is as good as we received at Vertical Runner. But not 36% more. We canceled the sale at Vertical Runner and, when we got to our car, ordered the shoes from one of the retailers listed on the price comparison. After an additional $ 10 discount offered because the shoes were not available in a nearby local store the competing chain owns, we placed the order for a total of $ 72.92 with four day shipping; a $ 44.23 total difference. I really would like to buy from Vertical Runner in the future. But VR should understand their pricing needs to be competitive with other options customers can easily explore from their smart phones in seconds. That is the nature of competition for retailers today. VR does not need to be the lowest every time to win my business. But they do need to be competitive.

Stopped into the new Brecksville location. No service and properly ignored while the manager chatted with another salesperson. Poor part timer was doing his best, but had lack of direction. Hey Brecksville, stick to Fleet Feet Sports!

My beloved pair of New Balances were basically falling apart and I have a Half Marathon to run in May.. . Vertical Runner to the rescue :) Prompt and *extremely* knowledgeable service — I had my feet sized, walk analyzed, and shoes purchased in less than 20 minutes. Had an excellent experience and will undoubtedly be back when the time comes to purchase my next pair of running shoes.
