I grew up with Bill’s. If you’ve never experienced southern barbecue, start here if you’re around the Athens area. Their pulled pork sandwiches/plates are always something that takes me back home. There are certainly other places, but very few I’ve experienced gives you chicken mull, pulled pork, and brunswick stew with slices of white bread. My grandparents are still big fans of their mull.(My grandpa actually used to make us turtle mull when we were growing up). Their sauces, by the by, are vinegar-based. If that doesn’t float your boat, ask for the sauce on the side.
