Daley & Wanzer Moving & Storage

I cannot say enough about how helpful this company was. We needed a quick turnaround because of a roof-​collapse. We had scheduled Casey movers-​but they left us hanging. Sheila and her crew at Daley and Wanzer were life savers. They were very professional and came on 1 day notice. The crew worked tirelessly and made sure that we were happy as they loaded and moved. I would not hesitate to recommend them. If we ever have to move again-​this is the crew we will call!

I contacted D&W t move me out of my condo on a Monday in late May and into a new home the following day. I told them the dates and they stated that they could take care of it. So they sent someone over to give me an estimate — very nice gentleman — and he walked around and made some notes/​calculations. So he leaves and the next day I get an estimate via email. I had a question about the hours needed and emailed Marie — she replied within 24 hours and I was satisfied with her answer. So the next day I call to book the appointment and OOPS! Sorry, we’re all booked up for that day. Well, how can that be? You assured me that you had a slot for me on the dates I needed! I am not sure who I was talking to on the phone (I think it was Marie but I am not positive). She told me that she would check to see if maybe one of the appointments was not confirmed, in which case I could get that slot. She assured me that she would call me back one way or another. Well, it’s been over a week and I have not heard boo from her or anyone else at Daley & Wanzer.
These people were recommended to me from someone I know so I was planning to use them — I did not even get an estimate from another company. So then I was frantic to find another company to move me. I was able to book with a reputable company but I was really put off by the way I was kicked to the curb by D&W. And no call-​back like they said they would. They just didn’t care, which makes me think they are not a good company to begin with.
Forewarned is forearmed.
I signed up with Humboldt Storage & Moving in Canton and will leave a review for them after the move has been completed. So far they have been fabulous — came to my house, gave me an estimate, booked the date like they said they would, etc.
