WingSpan

Wingspan is unique in that it is not a dine in restaurant. It’s an enclosed utility trailer that has been converted into a mobile wing dispensary! It’s located on the corner of Chase Street and Miles Street, just inside the loop. Because of it’s location and structure (or lack thereof?), I wasn’t expecting much, but I was very pleasantly surprised.
The service was fast and friendly. The wings were great. Not overcooked. Large, tender, and juicy wings. I chose the medium sauce which was very good. I’ll go for the hot next time. I ordered a side of fries with my wings and was pleased to see a good sized portion of steak fries which were also great. The pricing is spot on as well, $ 10.50 for 12 wings and a side of fries. The wings come with celery and bleu cheese or ranch as well.
My only complaint is very minor. They close at 8pm and are only open Wednesday-​Saturday. We showed up at 7:30, not realizing they close at 8. We did not get any negative attitudes or less than great food as you would expect when showing up to other fine dining establishments in this town 30min from closing time.
These were definitely the best wings I’ve had in Athens and will be returning.
