Bar 88

A nice place to stop in have a drink. Bartender is beyond rude and argumentative! Upside is the bar atmosphere and the Steaks are great!

It took five minutes for the bartender to even notice us, and it wasn’t even packed. After that, she asked to see my ID, and it took her another five to come back to verify that. Then, I ordered my drink. She would barely acknowledge me. Very stand off-​ish and rude. Also, I don’t really ask how much drinks cost because they’re all around the same price here on a Saturday night. However, I found out that shots here are 9 dollars a piece. What??? Do yourself a favor and go down the street and get them for three: what a rip-​off. I should have read the reviews before I went, they seem to verify what I experienced her. I won’t be back. Not that the bartender would care, anyway.

I’ve been here a few times, the most recent on 8÷29÷15 for a birthday party. This is the only time there were more than 15 people in the place, but that isn’t an issue for me. The drinks, which are mediocre at best, seem to be randomly priced. Two green apple martinis were $ 17.32 the first time and $ 10.82 the second. The customer service is also random — one bartender was very cordial and accommodating, the other made as little contact with customers as possible. The DJ was great!
It won’t ever be the first place I think of for a night out, but it’s not the worse, either.

So I finally checked this place out after driving past it so many times and I was a little disappointed that there weren’t many people there on a Friday night. I was impressed by the DJ playing hip hop and R&B and the cool bartender who made me her signature drink which I loved. Place is very clean and should be since it’s still pretty new. Loungy and bar-​ish with tvs so perfect place just to go chill and chit chat with friends or bf/​gf. Ask about the Cajun pretzels for a bar snack! Will be back soon

Cool little place. But the bar was slow, probably because they have two registers and only use one. Drinks are good once finally get it. Music was cool, the people are drama free not too bad for a Saturday night.

I recently discovered this place and so far so good. Both times I have been the bartender we had was a young lady from New Orleans and her drinks were good and she’s friendly and down to earth. Nice place to relax with friends and I felt welcome here. Love the décor and it’s nice and clean. There are Tv’s and one had the football game on. There is music as well and on my last visit there were a few not so nice songs but we asked the bartender and she was willing to change it. I would definitely go again.

We started are date nite with a few drinks at this place. First attraction was the DJ, the second was the crowd… and then things went downhill. The bartender (Sariya…or something to that) was horrible. She couldn’t make a cocktail, horrible customer service, and when I decided I did want a shot plus a mix drink I turned to the only apparent mixologist in the house (the only male bartender) who was great might I add, and then out horrible bartender decided to charge is twice, making her and bar 88’s last dime on me. All I have to say if she’s working behind the bar– we’re leaving and telling others they should leave. No bartender should be behind the bar if try don’t know what they are doing and stealing from customers is totally unacceptable. The sad thing is the staff knew she was horrible and apologized for her expressing they were aware she needs to go. Bar 88 do something about that, because this is your down fall.
