This is high quality dining at its finest right here. Completely enjoyed my dinner date with my wife here.

If you’re looking for a «special» place for a special occasion, i.e. anniversary, this is it. A wonderful French restaurant in the middle of a Humble neighborhood. The quintessential Hidden Gem. Truly magnificent, French country cuisine. The roosters decorating the restaurant are good luck symbols in French kitchens, and the large rooster was carved from a tree that was struck by lightning. Make a reservation, bring lots of money, but don’t miss this.

Exquisite Dining establishment. For most this is for special occasions and so worth it. The attention to detail is there, for example when they serve food to the table everyone gets their dish at the same time, not doled out one at a time. Your beverages stay full and if you want sweet tea they offer simple syrup. The waiters stay at the back constantly surveying their tables for anything that is needed. Each time we have eaten here the owner or manager has come by after the meal to ensure everything was up to standards. Truly the best service. Food.remarkable and so tasty. The portions are spot on. We started tonight with the blue crab tower. The crab tasted fresh and the layers of flavor made this dish delicious. They serve bread and I suggest asking for it warm. Our entrée was the chateaubriand steak for two. They carve it table side, which is fun to watch. The sides were garlic mashed potatoes, spaghetti squash, carrots, and green beans. I loved all of them and the right portion size. My husband wasn’t fond of the green beans as they are served al dente and he likes my southern style. I wished we could have had dessert, but with us it is either an app or dessert not both.

Wife and I went to Chez Nous recently for our anniversary. This is the real deal — if you like or just want to try authentic French cuisine, this is the place. Very quaint with excellent food, a little pricey but you get what you pay for and, in this case, it’s well worth it.

Just had our anniversary dinner here and it was simply amazing. Every bite was delicious. The Escargot de Bourgogne was so good I could have just had that and been completely satisfied. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Will definitely be back.

We went here last night and I’m not a fan. The place looked old and dingy. The food was poor. Really poor. For what your paying you expect a decent quality of food. I ordered the lobster bisque, that tasted like dish water(no joke) and for entrée I got the duck and it was bland and came with shepherds pie which was also bland. My colleagues ordered the veal which they also were not impressed with. Overall underwhelming really. Service was quite good. They had a lot of staff working considering it was wasn’t very busy and they were very attentive. I wouldn’t recommend in all fairness just because the food taste was not there.

Wow, there simply aren’t enough great words to describe the superb dining experience we had here. Although the outside is unassuming, the inside is quaint, elegant, and very provincial. I felt very underdressed being in jeans in a blouse, so definitely come dressed for a world class meal. The staff here paid incredible attention to detail from the very moment we walked in and we immediately felt at home. We started off with cocktails that were delicious classics and the beef tartare with quail egg on top. The beef tartare came with garlicky arugula and a decadent fruit compote accent. This is the best beef tartare I’ve had in my travels. My partner got the veal special that came with deliciously steamed haricot verts and whipped mashed potatoes. I got the duck with the citrus glaze and it was to die for! The duck came with a shepherd’s pie that was the icing on the cake. We ended the evening with Chef Stacy’s Coeur la Crème and it was the best dessert we had ever had. This place is truly a gem and is my new favorite place for traditional, yet exquisite, French fare.

Top notch service, nice atmosphere and great food. First time here the outside will make you wonder if you are in the right place. You must have faith and go inside to enjoy a fantastic experience. Don’t forget your reservation, although quite roomy inside it was pretty full on a Monday night. I started with my staple dish of traditional Caesar salad(which I would rank above average) along with the Duck Confi. I’m less experienced with French cuisine so I can only comment that it was very good and worth ordering if you like the entrée. A bit pricier meal than your average fare, but it felt like a fair price given the level of service and food I received. This is not an average place. I did not have dessert, but they all looked tempting. Atmosphere was a very nice. This linen and china meal is comparable to any of the old steakhouses in town. I saw couples on date, business people in suites, but also business casuals gatherings just to enjoying themselves. Lastly the service was exceptional. A full staff of friendly and attentive people. The building is a old converted house so the elevations can be tricky in each room. A trip to the bathroom will be followed by a chorus of polite«watch your step». Bottom line, I will be taking my wife back for a great dinning experience. I look forward to my next trip.

Stacy and Scott outdid themselves tonight. With one day notice chef created a magnificent vegan feast. Complete with vegan chocolate cake. Special broccoli freshly picked from their garden just prior to our meal. Food so luscious and rich that I have a treat for tomorrow at work. Just back from Paris and chef Stacy blows me away with her creativity and class. Just truly enriches my life, and has done so since 1987. Worth the trip.

My husband and I received a gift card to Chez Nous as a Christmas gift. We totally enjoyed our dinner there tonight. The atmosphere is very nice. Cozy, but elegant. We both had a Caesar salad. This salad had just the right amount of dressing. There wasn’t a pool of dressing in the bottom of the salad and the croutons, which were small, but plentiful, stayed crunchy. My husband had the escargots appetizer. He enjoyed them. They were not in the shell, so a little easier to eat. I ordered the herb crusted«bistro filet». It was recommended to be cooked to medium rare… which isn’t done enough for me, so I asked for medium well. It was still plenty pink in the middle, very tender, and tasty. My husband had the tournedos. It is 2 decent sized cuts, served with mashed potatoes, carrots and green beans. He thought it was very good. For dessert, I had the crime brûlée, and my husband had the walnut tort. Both were delicious. The staff was very professional and attentive. The dress code is business casual, so the range was wide on customers. The parking is minimal as the restaurant is in a residential neighborhood. We would definitely recommend Chez Nous.

My children grew up down the street and around the corner from here. I think I was at a wedding here once in the early 70’s. The surprise is that I have never been here. The staff and servers were plentiful and professional without being intrusive. The food was beyond criticism. The filet cut with a table knife as did the chicken. Try the walnut tart for dessert. It will not disappoint. YUMMO all the way!

The ambiance of the restaurant is very cozy and inviting with a hint of aristocracy. The staff was attentive and wonderful. The food was amazing! Had the diver scallops and they were cooked perfectly– melt in your mouth delicious! The staff worked with us to accomodate my daughter’s tastes. Overall, it was an amazing experience and I can’t wait to go back one day. I highly recommend this place to everyone looking for a luxurious dining experience in Humble.

I love this place! My husband and I came for Valentine’s Day one year. We made reservations and we were seated right away. When I walked in, I felt like I was on the Titanic ship. They had waiters waiting on you hand and foot. IT was different having someone standing right by our table and even if I got bread crumbs on my table, he would clean it. If you are not used to that, then it may be a little weird, like it was for me. Although we were there for the experience and great food and that’s what we got. It is fancy and expensive so plan to drop a 100 dollar bill easy. I would definitely recommend this place for a special occasion.

Once again Chef Stacy prepares an incredible three course prix fixe menu. The seafood sausage appetizer and salmon with butternut squash risotto entrée were cooked to perfection. Of course the flourless chocolate cake dessert is always one of my favorites. Thank you to Chef Stacy, Scott, Daniel and Paige for making my Husband’s birthday special.

Chez Nous is located inside an old Humble church that has been converted. The atmosphere feels exclusive and private. The wait staff are phenomenal. Everything on the menu is cooked to perfection and the flavors you’ll experience will delight. Most of the veggies are grown in the restaurants private garden. My ex and I use to go on our anniversary and one year we asked the chef for a little tour and she showed us the garden and kitchen. Chez Nous also probably has the best wine selection in Humble/Kingwood. This is my favorite French restaurant in the greater Houston area.

I am so glad I found Chez Nous. Went here for anniversary dinner & it was absolutely amazing. We arrived a little before our reservation & were seated in the cozy bar area. The proprietor got us some drinks while we waited, which was not long. Upon being seated, we took a quick glance at the menu and decided to be adventurous & try Chef Stacy’s choice, 6 courses of the Chef’s choosing. Every course was amazing. I don’t remember the names of everything, but they were all great. I would highly recommend this restaurant to any & everyone for a nice evening out.

We were just relocated to Houston from San Francisco, CA, after growing up and living there for 31 years, and on our first night here we decided to try Chez Nous. As someone who loves French Cuisine, and has eaten at many of California’s première restaurants(and loves them); let me tell you, NOTHINGCANEVENTOUCHCHEZNOUS in Humble, TX. All you Texans should be throwing down 5 stars left and right, hats off to you. It was the best restaurant experience I’ve ever had, sorry California– I feel like I need to bump all my previous reviews down a star it was that good. The run down: service like I was some foreign ambassador Super attentive and professional– got up to use the bathroom and every member of the wait staff on the floor immediately backed up to the wall with an arm stretched out pointing the way like the parting of the Red Sea. Got to the restroom and there was some waiter holding the restroom door open for me, jeez. Food Incredible Nothing was amiss, I got the duck confit and magret– perfect. And of course it came with julienned orange rind as a garnish, why shouldn’t it? Little details like that are signs that there is a lot of care that goes into how things are done there. Unbelievable. And the little Texan tributes here and there was awesome. The blue crab avocado tower was one of my favorite things; one of those«holy crap what did I just eat» kind of experiences. Scallops: phenomenal, salmon: perfect, foie gras: licked clean, escargots: delicious– even converted the non-believers. But the REAL star was the filet mignon. Thick 2 inch cut of meat that melted like butter with a cognac/peppercorn reduction. I’ve never had a steak that good. There are some comments here about the location. «Chez Nous» means, «at our house” — part of the experience is feeling like you’ve entered someone’s home as their guest. You can tell that a lot of care is put into everything that happens there. All in all– it will go down as one of two of the best dining experiences of my life. Thank you Chez Nous! We’ll most definitely be back.

I ate here for a friend’s rehearsal dinner tonight and was really impressed. It’s definitely not what you would expect if you didn’t know any better: a restaurant inside a house in a residential neighborhood(Houston for the win!) But once inside, it looks like your typical, fancy French restaurant. The service was on point: they were right where they needed to be when they needed to be there: great about refilling wine glasses, bringing more bread, serving people synchronously, not auctioning food, etc. I had one of the better salads I’ve had in a long time: «Our Crisp Pasta and Homemade Herbed Goat Cheese Salad with Organic Field Greens, Tomatoes, Cucumbers fresh Herbs and Vinaigrette.» Something about the herbs and vinaigrette they used was just outstanding: I can’t put my finger on it, but I ate every last drop of this salad. The crisp pasta was super interesting as well: not what I was expecting, but very delicious. For the appetizer we also had the«Barrel Smoked Scottish Salmon, minced Onion, Capers and Toast Points.» The toast points were uniquely thin and crunchy and a great vehicle for the smoked salmon, which was served in a very generous portion. The entrée was a «Seared Atlantic Salmon, wilted Spinach and a Lemon Caper Butter.» I am a salmon lover and very particular about how they’re cooked: I rarely find a restaurant salmon that my wife or I think is better than mine. But these guys have it: perfectly done on the inside, with a nice bit of crunch on the outside. I have no idea how they do it but I want to learn! We had a compote for dessert that doesn’t seem to be listed on the menu but may have been our friend’s addition, but that was delicious too. It basically was like warm fruit soup with a scoop of ice cream on it: I loved the hot/cold fusion. All in all, we really enjoyed it here. I don’t know that we’ll be back in Humble, Texas again, but you should definitely check it out!

I am over the moon about this place and am so glad that it’s close to my home. Exquisite french cuisine and KILLER souffles for dessert. Get the trio for a great ending. Other must trys: Diver scallops, Bistro Filet and Foie Gras! Pricey so take your sugar daddy or momma.Kidding.

Haven’t been here in years but sometime you must reciprocate your friends from the N driving into the city. Outstanding service; large menu selection. We had the seasonal salad and one had the goat cheese salad — all good. However, entrees were outstanding — rack of lamb, seared scallops, and grouper. Desserts were also quite good. Good wine selection — all French. Some decent choices in the $ 50 per btl range. A nice evening in spite of the 40-minute each way drive…

We went to this restaurant for our anniversary. This was our first time there. On the way to the restaurant we saw the neighborhood, it wasn’t that great and I was nervous thinking this is bad. The parking area was not well lot and limited in spaces. Well, you know what they say about don’t judge the book by its cover! My wife ordered the duck and I had the venison. Hers was great but mine was so so. There was nothing special or great about my venison. I had it better elsewhere. We shared the crème brûlée and that was very good. Very smooth, creamy and not too sweet. The wait staff was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. Just to note, sharing a dish will cost you an extra $ 3.00. I wonder why they even bother. I definitely return and recommend this place.
