My son pre-ordered a videogame that was just released recently. By day 2, he scratched the disc in such a way that it was unreadable by his videogame console. I called the local Game Stop near me and spoke with a very helpful employee named Jackie. I explained the situation and she asked me to bring in the disc, along with the mailer and packing slip information from the online purchase. After waiting our turn in line, she asked us, «Call of Duty — Ghosts?» I was glad to know that she remembered my phone call from hours earlier – and glad that she would be assisting us instead of someone else, who I had not previously discussed the situation with. Jackie quickly inspected the disc and told us that she would just replace the game. My son was so anxious having ruined an expensive game so quickly(hopefully his first and last time). She asked us if we wanted to go ahead and add a protection plan to the game for $ 3.00. HECKYEAH! It was just a very good experience, really, having thought that my son would be out $ 60.00 on a game that he got to play just twice before damaging it. It was a total do-over for us and a lesson learned for him. Thanks Jackie and Game Stop. =)
