I was out in the burbs for the day and needed a dress for a special occasion. I walked right in, tried on about 5 things, and walked right out with the dress I needed. This is not always the case, but this Stein Mart location is always a great one. My best tip would be to come by once a week and take a look. You will find some great pieces from time to time at a great price!

There’s a pretty good selection of merchandise here, from shoes and clothing to jewelry and purses and more — I even saw a big luggage section in the back that looked promising. Plenty of designer/trusted brand names around to choose from, too — I noticed Michael Kors and Jessica Simpson, to name two. There didn’t seem to be many staff members, but the ones I did hear corresponding with customers were attentive, pleasant and helpful.

variety is good, ok for the space they have, a little pricer but worth it if you like quality items. The staff most certainly has a high turn over rate. Everytime I am in this store, there have new cashiers. Last time I was there, Saturday evening they only had 1 cashier open(this is very often the case) and she kept yawning the entire time! not very nice for such a nice store but if you can look past the very young staff, the store is great

I am shocked to be first to review! Like all of the stores that are overstock consolidators, things can get pretty crowded in here. Also, there are tons of things to look at. The selection can be really exciting. And then it can be kind of disappointing. Since they get in what is overstock for others, sometimes the thing you want is the thing they don’t have. Oh well. That’s the chance you take. This Stein Mart has a wonderful ladie’s clothing section. Their boutique is especially nice. The plus size section can be iffy. Last time I checked it out, that area was featuring jogging suits. ICK. The baby section always has cute stuff that lets me get nice things for showers without putting down a large stack o’cash. The housewares department is small, but has some fun stuff. I like to troll it at the end of a season to see what they put on deep markdown. I’m not to proud to use old stuff the next year. No need to be au currant. The men’s department is typically smaller than ladies. It can also be a hit or miss thing to find what you want. But, whatever the area you want to shop in, if you don’ t find something you want, go back again the next week, they may have it. The shoe section is pretty good with a decent variety of styles. The more commonly worn sizes may be hard to find, but it your feet tend to be bigger, you may be in for a score. Organization is good. This store does not get all cluttered and junky looking like other stores in the chain or other chains’ stores. Although it feels more downscale, it is not as down scale as you can get. Definitely not a bargain basement joint.
