Visible Changes

Went in for a cut and color. My color came out great with Kelsey and I had an appointment for my cut. They told me that my stylist was behind and I’d have to wait an hour but they could put me with someone else who was at the same level so i agreed. Huge mistake! She didn’t cut my hair like the picture at all. My hair is not what I wanted. Very disappointed will not be using her again and wouldn’t recommend Bernice to anyone.
Update½. Visible changes in was great about getting me in and fixing my hair which turned out good however I made an appointment for my 9 year old daughter. When I made the appointment they only had a master cutter so I asked how much and they said $ 36. Ok that’s fine she gets her hair cut very seldom so that’s fine. Well she finishes up hair looks super cute and I go to pay and they ask for $ 48. I ask how is a cut you told me was going to be $ 36 now $ 48? The girl says oh she charged you for hot tools. I said no one asked me if this was something I wanted to pay extra for and I’m sure you didn’t get permission from my 9 year old. They took the charge off but seriously how unprofessional to add services to my 9 year olds hair cut without first asking permission from her mother who is sitting right around the corner on the couch.

I love Nicole! thank you so much for making me look fabulous. I had dark brown hair and came out a red head I was so scared and worried she made my whole experience great!

Patty listened to exactly what I wanted and made sure I was happy with my cut and style. She was very professional and quick, and also offered me great advice on products and styling tips. I will definitely be going back

I love visible changes! They have amazing customer service! Kelsey has been doing my color for about 2 years and it have never looked better! I have recently started using Kimberly for my cuts and she is awesome as well! They really listen to what you are looking for and make your experience a throughly enjoyable one!

Bridget totally made my day ! I went to get my hair done in Kingwood 2 days ago and they messed up my hair big time. Instead of natural looking highlights it turned out bleach blonde and yellow orange. Today I went to visible changes to see what they can do and Bridget did the most amazing job ! Can recommend this place /​Bridget!

My hair doesn’t look like the picture I brought in. I kinda hate it. I was really looking forward to having a new awesome hair style to show off but I as of now I guess I’ll keep searching for somewhere to fix this hot mess.

I heard a lot of good things about VC. Then I visited one day after making an appointment. I asked for the Master cutter or something. My hair is extremely long and thick and the stylist complained the whole time about having to wash, comb, cut and dry my hair. She had another person help her dry it and they both complained. I mentioned the length when I called but she was in such a hurry to get to her next client she didn’t dry my hair completely. Worst of all, I got to the register and they charged me $ 80. 15 minutes after I walked out my hair was frizzy from them not drying it completely. I will NEVER go back there! They overcharge for the work they do and they are not customer service oriented.

I have gone to visible changes for the last 30 years. Service today was the worst experience ever. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because I have never been unhappy with any other visible changes experience. All I needed was 2 kids hair cuts. One of my 2 sons was at 6:00. It’s 6:25 and we’re still waiting. They got my other son confused with a different client. Staff is very unprofessional. Sorry to say. I will not be returning to this location

This is the best place to get your hair done. If you want the best highlight go see kalen. She is professional, friendly, and not pushy. You will get what you ask for. She is on time all the time. If you girls are attached to your long long hair and want to keep it that way for haircuts go see Rebecca she is the best. She is not scissor happy and will trim only the amount you tell her and even show you after the first nip «is this ok.» I was recommended by these two and have never been disappointed. Rebecca is professional & polite. Ive been procrastinating on getting long layers but after talking to her about it I did it and love it. i am attached to my long hair and was concerned that it wouldn’t blend in when I flat iron it but it does! It’s not choppy looking at all just more bouncy when I curl it. Ladies please make sure you tip these women after they are worth it and don’t go anywhere else!:-)

So, I have been living in Houston now for 7 years and sadly was getting terrible haircuts from Super Cuts, but never did anything about it. It was cheap and I would usually grow into it after a few weeks. Well, a friend of mine noticed my aggravation and told me to go to his stylists – Minh. I was apprehensive just because of the cost. I have never paid that much for a haircut in my life, but it is true what they say. You pay for what you get.
He cut my hair EXACTLY the way I wanted and I left the salon feeling so good about myself. It was from that moment that I knew I wasn’t going anywhere else to get my haircut, and I haven’t.
Minh is their top chair master stylist and for a reason. He is always booked up and you usually have to call a day or two in advance to get in. He’s quick and efficient and a great person to make conversation with. He takes the time to understand what you want and even does the shampooing himself instead of getting someone else.
Now, he will try to get you to buy products, but then again so does everyone who works there. I have bought their tingling premier mint shampoo and conditioner and loved it, but couldn’t afford it for daily use

I have been going here for at least seven or eight years. It may be more, but I know it’s been at least that long!
For highlights and/​or color, my mother, sister and I all use Veronica. She knows what will work well with your skin tone and does a great job explaining how things will turn out. She definitely knows what she’s doing. My hair is naturally deep brown and she helped me transition to blonde last year when I wanted a big change. I always get compliments on my color, whether it be all over color or highlights.
For a cut and style, my mother, sister, brother, dad and I all go to Stephanie. She knows how to figure out what you want, even when you don’t know how to explain it yourself. My dad hadn’t had a professional haircut in over 25 years, and we finally talked him into visiting Stephanie. She created a new style for him that he loved and was still as low-​maintenance as he wanted.
You probably can’t go wrong with any of the staff at this Visible Changes location, but I strongly suggest visiting Veronica and Stephanie. In addition to their great work, they aren’t pushy about convincing you to purchase products like some colorists and stylists can be.
I know some might say Visible Changes is too expensive, but I believe you get what you pay for here. Hair is important to me, so I’m willing to splurge on it.
On a separate note, Stephanie and Veronica turned me on to Paul Mitchell’s Awapuhi Wild Ginger line. It’s not cheap, but the shampoo and conditioner will last you forever, as will the deep conditioner. You can buy it here and have the deep treatment done. Your hair will be super soft and smooth and very healthy! (I know it sounds like Paul Mitchell paid me to write that, but I swear they didn’t!)
Hope you’ll give Visible Changes, Veronica and Stephanie a try! You won’t be disappointed. =)

Whoa cuts my hair beautifuly I’ve been goin to her for 10 years! I’m always pleased. always! She listens to what I want sometimes I tell her do what she wants and yet it always comes out just right. I recomend her to any1!

Ask for Minh Dinh. He’ll ROCK your hair.

So, I went that day to get my haircut and after I left, it looked «ok.» But the maintenence is atrocious… I told the stylist not to cut my hair too short. But alas, she did anyway. Furthermore… the process of blow drying/​styling at this place is still below par for ethnic hair. You aren’t supposed to just blow air willy nilly till the hair is dry. For all those of you who don’t know what I’m talking about – our hair goes poof! Instead, you’re supposed to either dry it with rollers under a hair dryer (think dominican style) or if you’re using a blow dryer, use a leave in conditioner and blow dry it in sections while using a brush. Neither one of these things were done at Visible Changes. I think they rely too much on the flat iron to make hair straight. That said, the style doesn’t last which means they don’t know how to «train» the hair. I should note that I think they do good work with straight, european-​type hair. But if you have naps, kinks, or even a relaxer, I’d recommend you go someplace else.

This salon was remodeled in 2007, it looks great, the customer service is wonderful. I have been going here since I was 11 years old and have NEVER received a bad hair cut. (thats saying alot for 14 years of hair cuts)
One of the reasons that they are so educated and trained is because in order to be accepted to Visible Changes you must have previous hair cutting experience of at least a year, THEN they must go through a 6 week course with a strict test at the end. Every time you move up a level you have to pass an actual haircutting test.
I got my hair cut today and it is great!

I’ve been going to this Visible Changes location for about 7 years and I’ve never had a bad experience. Granted the reason for that is because I always go to the same stylist… Diana B. I moved to Clear Lake about a year and a half ago and I still am willing to drive 45 minutes to have her cut my hair. She’s a little pricey because she’s one of the higher levels but she’s definitely worth the money.
Part of the reason that I love her though is that I’ve been going to her for so long that she knows what I like. I usually just bring in a picture of a cut that I think will work on me and she’ll tell me if it will work or not. Plus she’s really personable.
All the staff I’ve met there actually are very nice and I would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a good haircut in Humble.

This is where my mom has been getting her hair colored and cut every 6 weeks for the past 6 years (at least). I have not lived here long and needed a hair cut desperately. So, I went with mom today.
It’s always a little nerve wrecking to have someone new cut your hair. Even more so when you are going to do something as drastic as chop 10 inches off like I was today.
Well, I had a wonderful experience at Visible Changes today. My mom had an appointment to get her hair colored about 30 minutes before my appointment for a cut. No problem though. There is an abundance of black leather couches to sit and read on (in the front and in the back where my mom was getting her hair done). Also, plenty of magazines to choose from.
I was called for my appointment on time and my nerves were quickly eased when Rebecca started working on my hair. I could tell she was confident and would do a great job. And she did. I love my new do and will certainly visit Rebecca again for trims (while I’m still in Houston that is).
I took one star off b/​c they don’t give discounts for haircuts if you are donating to Locks of Love. Many places will cut your hair for free if you are donating it. Oh well. I am thankful for a great haircut. At least they will do the ‘work’ of mailing the donated hair for me. That was a pleasant surprise. So, at least they saved me postage, right? :)
