Love the breakfast sandwiches here. The service is okay depending on how busy they are. The coffees are mediocre. I really like the ambiance. It’s a nice place to sit and read while drinking a cup of coffee

This little gem of a coffee shop is located off the beaten path in Hershey. That saves you from the swarms of tourists and obnoxious soccer mom’s trying to grab a latte on the way to some stupid competition hosted in town. The coffee is quite tasty, especially the light roast(in my opinion dark roast is garbage). The scones are to die for!

Cute, small and cozy place. One of the few places in Hummelstown/Hershey where you can get good coffee and have a place to do work.

Was very disappointed in my breakfast. The bread was stale, the eggs of my gf’s panini were refrigerator cold, and the servers were a little apathetic. I’m surprised because I had a great experience when I stopped through a couple of years ago. I guess it’s hit or miss.

Being new to the area I was in desperate need of a local coffee shop and this is definitely a find! Though I only had the coffee this trip the food was making me drool as other customers picked up their orders(will definitely update my review as I try the food). Not only did they have a vast selection of coffee styles and flavors, they had many dairy-free(DF) milk options — for an extra charge, of course. For us DF people, this was an especially important find! I had the milk and honey iced coffee with soy-milk and it was delish! The honey sweetener was just enough to make me smile but not overwhelmingly honey tasting. It did put me back about $ 3.50−4.00 for a small though(which is pretty typical it seems for coffee shops these days — especially for DF selections). Like I said, I can’t wait to come back and try some of their food because it looked divine! Will update.

My experience here brings the term, «you get what you pay for,» to mind. The menu items are cheap. The service was terrible. You’d think that they were so impersonal to expedite the process, but the service was SO slow. I was here around breakfast time, so I understand there was an influx of people, but the staff was just slow. The entire counter area was filled with people waiting for food and more complex drinks. Also, their system is flawed. They offer food items that aren’t on the menu and aren’t in plain view when waiting in line, which makes it difficult for people to know what they want, therefore no one is ready when reaching the front of the line. Otherwise, it was clean and cute inside. I hope they offer a better experience during a less busy time.

Great atmosphere. Service was very impersonal and seemingly inexperienced. Coffee was decent and fresh, moderately priced. When I arrived before noon, many tables were empty, but dirty. I had to wipe down my table before sitting and I observed other customers doing the same. The person with whom I had a meeting ordered a chai tea latte. It came with a weak espresso shot in it? So that wasn’t good. Multiple points of contact with employees resulted in disconnected and automaton interchanges. What a disappointment from such a customer service opportunity. I’ll likely go back, because the location and casual, quiet atmosphere was a good meeting environment. Train your employees in basic customer experience skills, and ensure the place is cleaned!

this place is great! tons of seating to get work done inside or out on a weekday(since I’m a freelancer I work a bunch of different places) — but totally nice enough to bring the family back to sometime as well. seating options of all varieties(tables, couches, chairs), even w/separate quieter rooms. mocha latte of course, was excellent! 5 stars baby!

This place is very cute(nice inside and outside spaces to hang out!), but they don’t do real pulls of espresso– it’s like a Keurig machine. Very disappointing. Unfortunately, this means the espresso doesn’t taste fresh. The bagels are bland and come with a small container of Philadelphia Cream Cheese, which is full of preservatives. I wish they were a little healthier and used real espresso.

No, wait. Don’t go with the iced tea: It’s not better. They brew their iced tea in the same equipment they use for coffee. I asked the server about it, and she was incredulous. «But we use a cleaner in the equipment.» Whatever they’re doing, it’s not enough. Tea tastes like nasty, stale coffee. Bleh. Hot tea is my new refuge at the Beanery. They can’t wreck hot water. Right?

While visiting Hershey Park, we were looking for a breakfast spot that also had an outdoor patio where my dog was allowed and came across Cocoa Beanery. Located in a beautiful, quaint meadow, it was perfect for a relaxing Sunday morning breakfast. There were students studying here since they do have free wifi. The coffee shop had both plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Coca Beanery had a basic, but decent sized food menu for a coffee shop. We ordered a chicken sandwich with chicken noodle soup that I highly recommend. The pear/avocado/walnut salad I ordered was so fresh and delicious! My iced hazelnut latte was delicious as well :) Overall, I would definitely come back here again; it’s a healthy alternative to all the other heavy fried food we ate in the park the day before lol

The atmosphere of this old farm house that has been redone to be a personable and huge coffee shop is fantastic. A very relaxed place to sit and read some articles from your iPad while sipping on your coffee. I did not try any of the food however the late was good. Mostly this is just a regular coffee shop that is set perfectly for historical buffs like me.

Breakfast was pretty enjoyable! I had the baked oatmeal with baked apples, and hubs had the egg panini. The panini looked so good, I almost regretted my decision… Until the oatmeal came out with the sweet aroma of apples and cinnamon. Let’s just say that he and I sat in silence and demolished them. Coffees were on point. Also picked up a couple of cookies and caramel coconut delights… Happy bellies upon walking out.

The Cocoa Beanery is a really excellent study spot as long as you catch them when the whole floor is open. On the best days, you’ll have your pick of comfy couches and chairs. Come at the wrong time, and you’ll be stuck in the front with gossiping 16 year olds. My biggest gripe with the Cocoa Beanery is that they switched to an automatic espresso machine. That means if you order a latte, a robot makes it. It’s like a giant Keurig, which in my opinion, makes it kind of gross. That said, the coffee is very affordable. If you need coffee and WIFI in Hershey, the Cocoa Beanery is fine. It’s cute, it’s comfy, and if you come at the right time, it’s a great spot to work. Unfortunately it closes early and they’ve replaced their skilled baristas with machines.

This is my place to go when I need a change of scenery for studying. The coffee is pretty mediocre and on the pricier side(about the same as starbucks). I haven’t tried much of the food except for the bagels and cookies, but they are good. The sandwiches and salads look and smell delicious, but are not super compatible with my student-budget when I’m already paying $ 4 – 5 for a cup of coffee. I mostly go for the atmosphere. They generally play pleasant background music, it’s relatively quiet and it’s in a cute old converted farmhouse.
