Ate here a few times with my kids, we love it here, probably our fave Chinese buffet for the price. Food is good and fresh and constantly checked for amounts and freshness, great & friendly service, sushi is hit or miss depending on who makes it I guess. And the best thing is it’s very affordable, maybe $ 7 ish for lunch and $ 10 ish max for dinner and for the selection and service it’s quite a bargain!

I don’t even know where to begin. you would figure watching steam rising off the food in their buffet would indicate that it’s hot but somehow they defy the laws of physics and half their foods still cold. the soup tastes like a combination of cooking oil and who knows what else.. Their crab meat is imitation obviously, they don’t even try and hide that fact. everything is tasteless and has made my stomach hurt. so far the best Chinese I’ve found is still in texas

We love the food and service at this buffet! They are always putting out new and fresh food. Living in China for many years, this is the closest to «real» Chinese food. LOVEIT!!!

Rude lady and crusty food we left to go back to a different place. 1. We wanted a booth and the waitress was rude when we asked for one. 2. We asked for 2 sprites and 2 waters and she kept pulling one with no ice out of her butt… um mo one has even uttered the word ice… where are u getting that from? 3. Crusty food containers We.left!

I grew up in Seattle. I currently live in the suburbs of DC. I’ve had great Asian food, horrible Asian food, and mediocre Asian food. This is mediocre. However, I’ve had a LOT of mediocre Asian food in my time so here is why I recommend this place. The soup is edible. Stir it first — lots of people that go to a Asian buffet in a place like Pennsylvania don’t go for Asian soup, so it forms a skin. This doesn’t affect the flavor. Just stir it — it’s kept hot, so it’s fine. The hot and sour is actually very good. The egg drop is so-so. The crispies that go with it are horrible. Skip them and get the spring rolls and crab Rangoon instead. Both are excellent. If you have kids, you will be delighted to see the chicken nuggets and fried chicken. The nuggets were a little dry, but we were having a late lunch(2pm) so if you hit it around noon it’s probably better. The appetizers, by and large, were better then the entrees. There was a «long roll» basically an elongated spring roll filled with meat that was excellent. As for the entrees, stick with the General Tso’s, the Curry Chicken, or the whole shrimp. In other words, stick with the stuff that is very basic and hard to screw up. Dessert was ok. Skip the cookies — they are stale. The cakes were good. The fresh melon was excellent, and the ice cream is in little cups and good. Tea was hot and free, and staff is very attentive. The other thing that saved this for being mediocre and crappy and mediocre and acceptable? It’s dirt cheap. McDonald’s is more expensive, and nobody at McDonald’s is going to come to your table every few minutes to pick up used plates, bring you more water, and teach your children a new phrase in Cantonese. Mine learned«see you again, goodbye». They already knew goodbye, the added phrase and the friendliness of staff added to the experience. It’s not awesome Asian food. But it’s edible, nobody got sick, and the service was GREAT.

Not sure why the posts were bad. Service was great. Very attentive and friendly. I dont eat fried food but tasted most of the other row. Curry chicken and peanut chicken were great but it was all flavorful and fresh. Whole shrimp was tasty also. Sushi rolls were limited but good. The melons were ripe and ready to eat… hard to find that in a buffet.

The food here used to be really great and the price was awesome for a buffet. I hadn’t been there for about six months and thought I’d give it another try. Sorry, I won’t be back. The food has gone down hill quite a bit. Sad because the wait staff has always been extremely attentive.

Went to Old China Buffet last night — did not care for it. The food was barely even warm. looked like it was sitting in the pans for hours. One thing I can’t stand on a Chinese Buffet is soggy broccoli in the Chicken and Broccoli. The wontons for the wonton soup must have been sitting there for hours… didn’t try them they looked so bad. The food on the buffet just didn’t look appetizing. :(

I don’t expect much from buffets and I am not a huge buffet fan but this was just bad… I was surprised that they are still in business… Not a big selection at all and really fatty. I tried most of the food but let it go back because only few items actually tasted ok. The desserts were a joke(cookies from giants or so, and some«pastries» that were so dry… not sure how old they were). Waste of money… The buffet on Paxton and the Hibachi on Jonestown road are definitely better in case you are looking for a buffet type place…

Hate to give it the one star — you would be better off at the nearby Sheetz or McDonalds– Small — Small — Small — Food not hot some not even lukewarm. Food not fresh — obviously sat there all day — NO Hibachi. poor variety. Drive down 322 and sample one of the new Asian buffets off Paxton St. or Jonestown Rd. Good service removing empty plates.

Nothing special about this place. Normal chinese food, normal prices. I will say I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many servers in one place as I have here — kind of strange really.

Coming from Jumbo in Harrisburg, this is probably 1⁄5th the size and number of items on the buffet. But taste wise, it’s very comparable. Definitely cheaper than any of the other Chinese buffets in the area. Although I must say the name coulda been better, it sounds like old food…

Does anyone remember the old Saturday Night Live skit«Lowered Expectations»? If so, take head when coming to Hershey. Don’t take the scene and try to compare it to your Big City aspirations(contentious a-hole). Take it as something different and rate it from there. Now onto Old China Buffet. Chinese Buffet that has enough of the tried and true Chinese fair that can get you but if you are looking for 4 – 5 rows of food, food, and more food… Get the hell outta Hershey. Definitely worth the $ 5.96 on a Saturday afternoon. My KFC on Friday night cost more than that.
