And only because food alone got a 3. So so disappointed. We’ve come here for a very long time. Came in tonight and sat at the bar. There was a young girl & a guy working the bar. So very inattentive. So much so the couple next to us even felt the need to comment to us when we yet again had to get their attention and ask for something. We even had to get our silverware to eat from the server. It’s like the bar has too much to do that all of us actually at the bar weren’t even there! Never checked on us when we got food if we needed anything, how was it, nothing. Never asked us if we wanted bread. I had to reach over the bar myself to get us bar saddles to eat on we were never asked. Forget refills. And the topper, we actually saw this girl take a picture of someone’s bill on her personal phone!!! Why would she do that!!! Where did that picture go to??! Was happy to leave.

I haven’t been to an Outback restaurant in probably over a decade. Well I recently went with my niece on a Sunday evening. Unfortunately, the experience I had won’t have me returning. I would’ve given one star but the second star is for the way the server and the manager handled everything. I ordered a 6oz sirloin with broccoli and a side salad. My salad came out with a moldy tomato on it. At first I wondered if it was some random pesto on it, but it was definitely mold. I told the waiter and asked for a double order of broccoli because I was turned off by the salad. When the food finally came out, the steak was tough and very fatty. I’ve had sirloin before and that was definitely a bad cut. I couldn’t eat it. The broccoli seemed old and microwaved. Our waiter offered to make a new order but at that point I didn’t want to eat anything. So I returned that and ate 2 of my niece’s buffalo wings(which were decent.) They took the steak meal off the check and offered me a coupon. I appreciated that but I won’t be returning. I gave the coupon away to someone I know who likes going there.

I received a gift card from someone, so I figured we might as well go. Wanting to splurge, I ordered a sirloin and lobster tail. The sirloin was perfect, but first our waiter forgot to even bring my lobster tail, and when it finally came out it had to of been the smallest tail I’ve ever seen in any restaurant. Wasn’t worth the money. My other half had a buffalo shrimp appetizer which was a good value.

(4÷7÷2016) We hadn’t been to Outback in a while, def not since the new renovation. It’s def a touch more modern with the furniture, but still maintains a little of that old 80’s hokey, post-Crocodile Dundee feel. Our memories must’ve really faded, we were looking forward to this visit, I think it was deliberate forgetfulness. The setting was fine, mostly. In a mostly empty restaurant on a weekday night, we were tightly seated into a banquette table between a party of 12 and a party of 2 adjoining. I understand you may be down servers and don’t want to open up a new section, but it was a little like sitting n a communal cafeteria and a little off-putting. Our server was very efficient, we had to ask for a few things, that should’ve been set up for her, like silverware at the table by the busser or host(or GM), or salad dressing on the salad by the back of the house. She came by a few times for our orders and it was our fault we weren’t ready. Of the four of us only one truly enjoyed their meal. I think, likely, we three chose poorly. Yes, should’ve known better not to get a crab cake at a steak house. Cake was pan-fried, mostly breading, weirdly pink, and not much crab to it at all. This being Maryland, one should just avoid any crab cake at any chain restaurant, ever. The side Baked Sweet Potato with butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon was just fine, baked tender and moist. Also ordered Prime Rib Dip and Ribeye Steak Sandwich from the«Forkless Features.» Not sure what we were thinking there either. Surely it was leftover meat cooked to well done and sliced for sandwiches and hidden under a blanket of cheese, condiments, and bread. Fries were plentiful, but starchy, looked heat-lamped and rather tough and chewy. Had a «premium» side(with upcharge) Blue Cheese Pecan Chopped Salad. I knew it sounded a little off in the menu description, but like I said, I think we were all in denial. Cinnamon sugar and blue cheese are just not a good combo. Salad came undressed, our very friendly waitress brought me a cup of dressing after I asked, and I’m almost sorry she did. It was described as a Blue Cheese Vinaigrette, it came it a small cup, was rather solid, and was indescribably unappetizing looking(think, pale, grey-green, blobby); tasted OK, a little tart, a little funky(like blue cheese should be). The Chopped Salad ingredients themselves also looking a little tired and brown around the edges. Be forewarned, Caesar Salads here are very garlicky, and croutons a little stale. The one truly good dish was the«Teriyaki Steak Medallions», with grilled peppers and red onions. Meat was well-seasoned and marinated and cooked as ordered, and came with a lovely looking coarse salt-crusted baked potato with plenty of butter and sour cream. Aside from walking into a chain restaurant and expecting a good meal with a soul, the other place we went wrong was to stray from what they advertise they do well: steak. Next time(if there ever is a next time), sticking to the standards, meat, potato, period. NOTE: The«Honey Wheat Bushman Bread» and honey butter they bring gratis to the table is still pretty damn good, as was the Bloomin’ Onion, and olé’ solid standard since 1988(yes, it’s been, 28 years). They get 1 extra star here for the 1 meal that was enjoyed.

Update: originally gave it 2 stars and had to bring it down to 1. Worst waitress ever. If only the manager was on site. Was excited to see the renovated outback and know exactly the quality food I am getting. It started out with the host taking most of the orders and the waitress didn’t show up until 20 minutes after we sat down. Didn’t have silverware — had to get it from the next table over. The food was good as usual… Except everything came out at once?! Appetizers, salads, and the main course. I was still eating my salad when the steak came. I didn’t even get a chance to taste the new skewered shrimp before the hot meal came out! I asked the waitress what the deal was and she said«the kitchen is just trying to get everything out.» I asked«so, you’re trying to get us out as quickly as possible?» She just walked away. Hasn’t bussed the tables once, so anything we ate(all 8 plates including 1 bread plate, 2 apps, 1 steak meal, 2 salads, and a plate with 2 lobster tails)… So we had to put them on the next table over. What’s the deal, outback? Is your way of service to just«try and get everything(everyone) out at once?»

Every time I visit an outback I am always met with great, top notch food but completely horrible customer service. No matter what state we are in when going to an Outback Steakhouse, something is always wrong with the order. Yes, they do always match us with a gift card and a very heart-felt apology. But I would rather have my food than a gift card to come back at a later date and still be met with bad service. Not to speak of the gift always expires within a few months… Anywho… I understand it’s a Saturday and to going to be busy but that’s when Outback should have more time allotted on their website for the curb side pick up. It shouldn’t always just be 20 minutes. We get there promptly, the guy is running around and grabs our name and payment, promptly makes it back with the card and then we do not see him for another 20 minutes. I finally sent my boyfriend inside and out he walks 10 minutes later with our food, no longer warm. We arrive home– living in the city about 20 minutes later to see they forgot one of our meals. This has happened to me at almost every Outback I have been to. At Least it’s a franchise where nothing changes– especially their customer service.

Went to early dinner since someone gave us a gift card. The service was good. The food was mediocre, at best. The«filet mignon» was about a quarter inch thick, and tough. The«fondue» was a thin cheese sauce. The” Pretzel bits” were cigar-shaped bread sticks. The«crab– stuffed mushrooms» were tough enough to need to use the steak knife to cut, and I don’t know what kind of «crab» they were stuffed with.

Came here for dinner with my wife since we haven’t been to this establishment in a minute. I ordered to ribs and my wife ordered the stake. Their food is always good and our hour waitress was really nice. I was surprise that their drinks was a lot stronger from the last time I was here. Overall me and my wife had a good time and we will definitely be coming back again.

We were staying nearby for a wedding and needed a place to eat dinner. We decided to just stick with something we knew and went to Outback. It was later in the evening(8pm) and we were tired(after flying in that afternoon) and just wanted to eat and go back to the hotel. Our server was friendly and took our drink and food order. The restaurant was still quite busy for being later in the evening. The server did bring out some bread for us. We ate that(since we were hungry). We were hoping he would bring us some more(since our food was taking quite a bit to come out) but he never came back. Finally our food arrived and it was good. After we were done eating we had to find our server again(he disappeared again) so we could get the check and go. The service was a bit lacking.

Every time I come I’m reminded why I said I would never come back. Horrible service and horrible food but the icing on the cake was my last visit when cooks were walking in and out of the curbside entrance with the same plastic gloves on when they returned as when they left. HOWUNSANITARY!!! Well think again… not as unsanitary as the roaches running across the bar at 4:00 in the afternoon including the one with an egg hanging off her. YES, ROACHES!!! When I complained the manager offered my food for free but NOTHANKYOU, SIR because I will eat someplace else. I WILLNEVEREATHEREAGAIN!!!

Just left there with 20 of us. Arrived at 7 and seating was no problem. 8 of us ordered prime rib. At 7:30 she returns and tells us she is out of prime rib. Mind you hardly anyone is in the place. So we changed the order. We all had our salads coming out then also. We had to request bread. Food came out and several people sent theirs back because it was so salty they could not eat it. At 9 pm I left still waiting on my bread and mac and cheese as well as bread. Tap was over $ 600 for sub par service and food would never return

I am actually not a Fan of chain Restaurants However OutBack changes the Game with the Lobster Tails. Never Tough always Tender Sweet and Flavored. This is the 1st time I’ve tried the Old Bay Lobster Tails and They were just as Good as The normal ones that are Grilled. And I am also thrilled that they have updated the menu since my last visit. The Macaroni & Cheese #BOMB… Great Addition. keep the new items coming. And The Bartender Just was AMAZBALLS. Great drinks Buddy. Did his Best to find the right recipe for My French Martini. Look forward to another Visit.

Actually, I am not a huge fan of their steaks. But their«prime rib dip» is the best sandwich of its type I have found in the Baltimore region. Also great veggie sides are available if you want to make it a little healthier.

Whoever is managing during the day on Saturday is insane. They had one bartender taking care of the bar, doing service bar and had nine 2 tops. The bartender was doing the best he could but it was obvious some patrons were getting upset with the time it was taking to get served. Food came out fine and was typical Outback style. Had some trouble getting attention for drink refills. Scratch that… ten tables now…

I am a huge outback fan! I love their drink(seasonal especially) and their menu deals. I personally love this location! I have celebrated many birthdays and occassion a here. Service is good. Normal. Not overly nice nor bad just normal waiter style. Service was also good in time we received our food. Not a long wait like Owings mills location. Our food is always really good. Well cooked and well presented. Location is very clean and nice atmosphere. Nice place for after church meal with the fam, little birthday get together, and quick date nigh.

Always enjoy going here when I have a craving for Steak. I pretty much always sit at the bar and the service there is excellent. Good bartenders and you have an unobstructed view to the TV. Never had a bad meal or a bad experience at this site. Everyone has a smile and its apparent to me they strive to provide excellent service.

I wanted to give the management a heads up about a great experience I had in your restaurant on Monday night, 7/19, thanks to Brian C., our waiter in the bar area. He was friendly and personable, and best of all, I gushed about how much I really wanted something that is no longer on the menu, and he went out of his way to find a way for the kitchen to prepare it. Very very thoughtful. I typically don’t frequent chains because you don’t get this type of service, but I was very surprised and pleased with Brian’s service and Outback as a whole that evening. Thank you!

Awful, atrocious, abominable, dreadful, painful, terrible, unspeakable, and nasty! That should about sum up a dining experience at an Outback(can’t even cook a) Steak(right)House. Oh, service was terrible too…

I typically don’t bother reviewing chain restaurants because(1) I usually don’t go to them, and(2) everyone has been to a food chain, so there’s not really much different you would expect. But, my experience at Outback the past few times has just been so disappointing that I am compelled to right a review. Initially, the very thought of going to a chain, where I can get better food at a local mom and pop shop for the same price, better price, and without the frills was somewhat irking.(yes, I admit that I am coming from a biased position). Yet, when I got to the restaurant and saw the people in line, I somehow felt«good» — maybe this place isn’t so bad after all, it seems like a cool place, there are a ton of people, «sure, why not?» Atmosphere was great, service wasn’t too bad; that gives it the extra star. Food items on the menu looked fantastic, as were the names — again reprimanding my initial feeling — «wow, maybe I was too hard on this place before» — and bringing about a sense of excitement and real craving for the food(they stretched the wait as usual). And $ 13.99 for a 9 oz. cut of steak! But, when the food arrived, the emperor’s new clothes were revealed. Here’s the break-down: Brown Bread: I liked that it was warm and freshly baked, but the flavor of the bread just wasn’t there, it was bland and certainly didn’t taste fresh. The butter didn’t help either, it wasn’t the fluffy kind that at least a place like Waffle House does a good job providing. Coconut Shrimp: I still remember the days(maybe 10 years ago now?) when Outback provided a succulent plate of 6 jumbo shrimp, bursting with the fresh natural flavor of the shrimp and coated with the nice coconut shrimp batter. Maybe I was more victim to their marketing then, but this time I bit into an overly burnt batter that seemed to lack substance and into lukewarm, slimy shrimp that largely under-stated the size of the batter. They weren’t bad, just not as good as they used to be when this chain was brand new. Caesar Salad: I’m not sure if it just wasn’t enough dressing, but the salad tasted bitter. The greens looked very fresh, but certainly didn’t taste that way. I would prefer the Caesar Salads provided by Olive Garden over this one. But, again, not terrible. Rib-eye: This is what I got. At initial bite, the meat was cooked fine, but was a bit chewier than I was expecting. Needless to say, I’ve had some great steaks from the likes of Flemings and Ruth’s Chris, etc.(on my company dollar of course), so I wouldn’t say this was too bad. $ 20 seems priced about right for this one. Outback-Special: There’s a reason why you can get a steak for under $ 15 and a first bite into this beef jerky of a meat will reveal why. The funny thing is that the meat is cooked medium rare, appears rare, but tastes and chews like it’s well done. You chew into this meat and it’s that hard flavorless kind that leaves a string of somethings between your tongue and teeth. I need to stop with the descriptions because all-in-all, this is an AWFUL steak and not worth your money. I certainly have cooked much better tasting steaks from the cuts on sale at the local grocery store on my foreman grill when I was in college. This was so disappointing that I had to drop a star from the rating. The sides: not bad! At least, the sweet potato fries and the sweet potato with honey butter were spot on. Fries were crispy and flavorful, albeit a bit greasy. Sweet potato was cooked perfectly — tender and soft, warm, flavorful. I will admit Outback does a good job with the sides. Altogether, I would say, if you’re looking for a good family or friend experience on the budget, then this should be a tolerable eat(just be willing to spend a bit more than the cheap Outback Special cuts). But, if you’re looking for at least medium quality meat(the kind you can get at a grocery store) and you tend to be the type that gets disappointed by poor quality food that is highly advertised, then I would avoid this place like the plague. And, regardless, of who you are, don’t get the Outback Special! I would recommend the rib-eye.
