You come down the steep hill into Hunters and come right into the«downtown» area. There really isn’t anything here off course beside the post office an one or two general stores. This area has a very wild wild west feel or maybe more of a ghost town. Anyway, there is a post office so I guess that means it’s somewhat of a city. I really felt like an idiot trying to get a photo of this post office as there were two big burly trucker looking men halfway up the block shootin’ the shizz and hanging out by their K1500 staring me down and probably thinking, «What in tarnation is that fellow doing down there?!» Anyway, I got a photo of the office front for the storefront photo, & took a pic with myself in the picture to prove I’d been there. I won’t be back back this post office is very quaint for the little town of Hunters. I wouldn’t doubt that if they had to shut down an office due to post office cut backs, this probably would be one of them. This little corrugated metal shed had the blinds drawn and doors locked when I went, so I wasn’t able to gauge the level of service, but in my mind there is probably a very nice older lady or man inside that probably like to talk about the old days or gingerly sort the mail for deliver and provide service with a smile. I might be wrong though…
