I think snipits is a great option if you don’t cut your child’s hair yourself. It’s cheap, they feed them animal crackers, there’s TV(a bit outdated but cute), and the staff is friendly. Cassidy cut my sons hair and she was very nice and did a great job with him squirming around! He loved picking out a prize at the end!

To begin, the haircut and the stylist were great for out child’s first haircut. Unfortunately, the beginning of the experience at the front desk almost made us leave. Rude and unorganized, and not helpful at all. While trying to get on the schedule, the front desk person checked in the person behind us, telling them it would be 30 – 45 minutes versus OUR time of 1 ½ hours??? We pointed this out, and they just stared at us. Maybe they already checked in, but staff offered no explanation and just walked away. Doubtful if we will return.

Does anyone know where Ms. Aisha went? She has been there for years. I called about a month ago and she is no longer working there. She is a great stylist. She really listens and makes sure you are satisfied. If anyone knows where she currently works please let me know. Thanks!

Snip-Its is WONDERFUL! We had been taking our son to other places such as Sports Clips or Great Clips for haircuts prior to finding Snip-Its… Those places were always a disaster filled with tear filled haircuts. Not a single tear shed once we started going to Snip-Its! Kid friendly atmosphere and very friendly staff. Conveniently located in Birkdale Village. Won’t take our son anywhere else now.

Disorganized check-in process, often long waits with no available seating and rude staff. Have been taking my kids there for some time and absolutely no customer loyalty. Do not recommend. Will not be returning.

My daughter got a nice cut there. $ 13 for the first visit. You can’t beat that. My daughter was frustrated with the games they had so that was kind of pointless. They use old technology. She’d never used a mouse before. The stylists were friendly but didn’t quite«get» that I wasn’t going to force my son to get a haircut. He was there to watch his sister and possibly get a cut himself. We asked him several times if he wanted his done and he said a very clear«no». But the stylist still started to brush his hair without asking me and also was clueless to the fact the back of his hair was matted… Even though I had mentioned it when we got there and inquired about them having a special product to get it unmatted. I would not have attempted to brush it from the top down and with no conditioner in it. So basically after a nice visit to check it out, he cries because she 1) hurt him and 2) didn’t respect his answer of «no» I would say an area for improvement would be to first ask what the customers want and try not to rush through. Like my daughter was in a chair and getting sprayed while I was dealing with my son and I would have had her washed as well. That’s money they missed out on. And I felt like I had to rush over there to tell her what I wanted done. It was not busy there at all. Also, you should never speak badly about a coworker to a client. Made me feel awkward as if there was some kind of tension between them all. They both loves getting their prize at the end. With all that being said. I will return and would recommend the place because it’s kid friendly, inexpensive and most importantly a good looking cut and it was quick. They know how to cut kids hair. I just had to give an honest and thorough review because hopefully it can help them improve and help others know what they are on for.

What a bummer! I have been here numerous times and it has always been positive. I called at 4:22 today, saturday, they close at 5. I said that I was on my way. I was told we had to be there at 4:40. At 4:46 we got to the front door and there is a sign up saying closed. Seriously? Don’t post your hours are until 5 and then close 15 minutes early. To me close at 5 means that if you are in the door before closing you made it. What makes it worse is that is is summer and tonight is mingle on the green. Tons of parents are walking around with kids: they would make a lot of money if they stayed open even 30 minutes more. Not sure that I’ll be back. I am super disappointed.

I took my son for his 2nd ever hair cut. The 1st was at a mall salon & it didn’t go very well(there was a lot of crying & kicking). Snip-It’s was absolutely perfect! Exactly what I was looking for. The ladies were great and there was plenty there to entertain my son & distract him from the scissors. I definitely plan on returning.

My kids love this place. It definitely is all about kids here. In addition to the typical lollipop, they get a prize from a machine, can play video games or watch a movie while getting their hair cut. The stylist are very sweet and I’ve never seen one get flustered at a screaming child. The haircuts are definitely overpriced however. I guess you’re paying for all the extras. It’s worth it for me because all 3 of my kids love it!

I take my daughter here about every 6 weeks for a trim. She really likes it and though the prices are a bit more than say, a Supercuts-type place, they are really great with kids which makes it more than worth it. There is often a line, but they keep things moving smoothly. Aesha did the last cut and was super patient and friendly with my daughter, who was having a small meltdown at one point. If you give them your e-mail they will send you $ 2-off coupons pretty much monthly, so you don’t ever have to pay full price. Before the kids are seated in the chair they get a plastic chit which, after the haircut is over, they put into a slot near the front counter and out pops a small prize. The kids love it every time!

We typically go to a children’s salon closer to home but decided to visit Snip Its today and it was such a fun experience. This place is bright, inviting and run by really nice stylists. The kids are given a ‘passport’ when they are taken back for their cut, then they use this to activate the prize machine that makes all sorts of Roger Rabbit sounds while sputtering out their toy/stickers/etc. Cheryl did a wonderful job on my son’s wavy hair, looking for signs of cowlicks, weird hair growth patterns, etc. before she started cutting. Once she started snipping away she was able to work quickly, effectively and safely, all while giving a squirmy 3yo a great haircut. His surfer shag looks so handsome! If I had a little girl I would definitely host a bday party here as I noticed tons of glamour and dress up stations for the girls. Definitely worth the $ 3 more than our other salon. Only gave 4 stars b/c the waiting area is a little tight, there isn’t really room for a stroller ot to separate yourself from the SIX wild children whose mother did nothing to control them as each sibling took his/her turn getting their haircut.

It was time for our little guy’s first hair cut, and we were looking for a place that specialized in squirmy micro-people. Snip-its seemed to fit the bill. We walked in and were greeted by the sound of a pack of wild younglings, both in the waiting area and getting their hairs cut. There were plenty of activities to keep them busy in the waiting area, even if it seemed a bit tight. The atmosphere was Wonka-esque, complete with barbershop implements made into cartoon characters. They have several TV’s playing kiddie music for the intended patrons to sing along to. The hair specialists were entertaining, knew how to deal with wiggles, and actually seem to love their jobs. They were getting into the«first haircut» experience just as much as mom and dad, and baby! When there’s an exceptionally«motivated» client, they bring over and extra set of hands to entertain and pre-occupy him or her. They cut a decent head of hair, too! Happy employees, neat atmosphere, stress-free for the ‘rents. A-Okay!
