Has anyone noticed when you pay with cash it is never ran through the cash register? I wonder why??? The cash draw is always open. I paid the tax on top of the bill and tip I wonder where the tax I paid goes to?

The people here are rude. Like insanely rude. Every time we go they stand in the kitchen door and stare at us and give us dirty looks. The food is cheap but you get what you paid for. It’s right up the road from my house but I rather drive to Jasper

Reading the review from Tom H. was surprising given he lives in Indiana, however I suppose Bloomington is the food capital of Indiana, so he doesn’t quite understand what you get when you order Mexican food«south of the border». It’s Americanized… duh! It has to be or no one in this region would eat it or like it for that matter. I just transplanted from Tucson, AZ, the«mecca» for Mexican food, and holy cow was I disappointed, but you learn to adjust and adapt. When I asked the Mexican owner of a nearby competitor what was with the ground beef and processed cheese in the dishes, he said, «that’s how they eat it here.». Even he agreed it was odd, but«do as the locals do.» If not, you don’t make a buck. Having said that, this restaurant is great! The food is just as great as their counterpart in Dale and drink specials are spectacular. If you don’t like ground beef and processed cheese, order something different. Just a know before you go kind of thing! The service here is great, especially Mario… gotta love Mexicans with a great sense of humor! For the area; for Southern Indiana and for limited options for Mexican food, I would highly recommend this place. If you’re a west coaster or are very familiar with what Mexican food really tastes like then stick to the fajitas; they never disappoint… DON’T get the enchiladas… you’ll be disappointed with the cheese.

A negative experience. Ok, let’s not mince words. The locals are unlikely to know the difference. There is a strain of Mexican restaurants that uses platter heat to cook food. This is one of them. It’s for los touristos. If you’re vegetarian or vegan, make SURE to ask if your selected dish has meat in it, even if you’ve NEVER seen meat in it before. This is a big meat eating area, and even things like chile rellenos has meat in it. The dish served as chile rellenos bears no resemblance to any other dish I’ve ever seen by this name; it was *strange*. Simple cheese enchiladas are folded quesadillas with cheese inside, covered in ‘valentino-like’ sauce. If you were expecting standard Mex, this is very highly Americanized, so don’t be surprised. Know that when they’re busy, their kitchen can’t seem to handle the load, so stuff comes when it comes, and in a kind of random order. Many people will not know the difference. Perhaps there is better in the area. I’ll find out.
