Although, the food wasn’t too bad, the price for what you got? Stupid. The happy hour is lame! You would think for a new place, they would promote people to come in with a great happy hour but nope! Also, they have so much space and it could be a great hip place for Friday and Saturday with a dj or band… I think I can say for all 21 – 28 that we really needed a hip place around here and were very disappointed.

My husband and I have already been to tavern on pine twice. Our bartender(I think his name was Jason) is so nice and accommodating! So sweet. The food is great. Everything seems to be fresh. Even the poppers were hand made! Roast beef sandwich is the BEST I ever tasted! It was so tender. The wings have so many different choices of sauce too! Love this place. What a great location cause we really needed something like this in the area!!!

This is my new favorite local bar! Cool atmosphere, great food and drinks. The bartenders and servers are all so nice. I can’t wait to go back.

Was happy to try this new place minutes from my house. I expected some service bumps, as I know that opening a new restaurant is hard. My wife and I went in behind two couples and we stood at the host/hostess station for a few minutes until they seated the first couple. Then a couple minutes later they seated the second couple. About five minutes later they finally seated us. So we sat and watched the sixers game on the tv above the bar. Sixers were losing(no big surprise). And we sat and watched. Wow the Golden State Warriors sure can shoot. Sixers were losing by more. And we waited. Sure was no defense in that game. And we sat. We saw a family we know from youth sports come in, get seated and their waitress came over to take their drink orders. Still no server for us. Finally a waiter came over to the table next to us(a family that was seated a long time after us) and I said to my wife–«I’m sure he’ll come to us next». Well. He didn’t even look at us and he walked away. So after 20 minutes of sitting and not being acknowledged a single time, I took the paper menus back to the hostess stand, handed them to her and told her that they ought to hire some more servers for Saturday nights if they don’t want people walking out. She really cared that we were leaving… I can tell. I was quite upset so in the car I googled the phone number and called the restaurant. «Why are you bothering?» said my wife. It rang and rang and rang. And rang and rang. I hung up and dialed again. After three rings a man picked up, who said he was the manager(when I asked for a manager). I told him what happened and he did seem to care and even apologized once or twice. But he didn’t think to say«oh you just left– why don’t you come back so we can make it right.» All he said was«ok. I’m sorry but I don’t know what I can do about that.» In any case, we ended up in Willow Grove at Grub Burger Bar. I had a delicious burger(about $ 3 less than the burger price at Tavern on Pine). Fries(also $ 3 less). And onion rings for the wife. The sixers are now losing by 19 points but my food is delicious. Maybe Tavern on Pine will get their act together, but until then I’d stay away.

Awesome food and a decent selection of draft beer! Will be back again soon! My fiancée had the breakfast burger and I had the hummus flatbread. Both were really good. Price for two draft beers was $ 9.50 which is pretty reasonable. We’re excited to have a decent bar/tavern so close to home(finally! HV is lacking in similar places). The bar tender seemed knowledgable and competent which is always a plus. Didn’t sit at a table(sat at bar) so can’t comment on wait staff but didn’t notice anyone complaining haha!

Not a great 1st visit! Live locally in HV& was anxious to visit after watching the reconstruction in all of its phases. Last night I could wait no longer so I called my husband & told him to meet me there. Upon entering, it looks very nice aesthetically. Big perfectly angled tvs Over a rounded beautifully lit bar, hardwood floors throughout & surrounded by big windows. The floor plan leaves a lot of open space & it looks a little bare but as business picks up thinking they might end up adding more pub tables or bigger tables to accommodate more than 4 people around the window areas. The hostess seated us, handed us food-only menus & walked away. We waited…& waited… Not knowing what drink to order because there was no beer or wine list given to us or on display anywhere. I’m a craft beer fan, but had no idea what they offered. Finally a waitress came over & I asked for a drink menu. She brought me a paper menu with signature cocktails but still no beer or wine list. Walked away. When she came back & I completed looking at the menu to find no mention of beer or wine, I asked what they had. She had no idea so went and got a paper with beers written on it in pencil. I was happy to see a craft beer I love but she said they were out of it. It was 7:00 Thursday night. Ok fine I just ordered a wine. Then We waited…& waited… Very long. We’d already been sitting there for at least 25 minutes with no drinks. She finally brought our drinks over & my husbands Corona was warm & my wine had a fruit fly in it! Fruit flies aren’t a good thing to see around a bar. My wine had been sitting so long it found it & flew in. Ick Ok so we have our drinks & are waiting for our food, a little longer than average but not too bad. We started with the buffalo wings. They weren’t bad. They’re the super messy covered in sauce kind so get lots of napkins :). My husband had the burger which was very bland to taste. Just like browned meat lacking flavor. We actually laughed at the presentation with its little wilted lettuce leaf & tiny not ripened tomato. I’ve seen nicer looking slices of tomato on a happy meal burger. It was also served with a side of peppery fries & a pickle. I ordered the roast beef sandwich with horseradish aioli & that was decent! I’d get that again just maybe with a different side. It comes with cole slaw & that had absolutely zero flavor. So we finish our food & the waitress takes our plates & hands us our check. Seemed odd like she was telling us we were through. We happened to be, but in most cases they’ll at least ASK if we want another drink or anything especially in a bar setting. The owner has been posting that they’re still working out kinks & working on the staff training. I really hope they get their act together! This is the perfect location when we want to slip out for a drink and/or bite to eat. The space & crowd it’s attracting has major potential. Another note*i was surprised how crammed & hard to maneuver the parking lot is especially considering the restaurant itself wasn’t that crowded. I hear they’re working on this too. *Fingers crossed*! C’mon guys –your neighbors in Huntingdon Valley are pulling for you! 2 stars** 1 for location & ambiance 2 for our waitress. Although she seemed inexperienced, she was very pleasant.

i used to go to plush in glenside, when the shut down and rebuilt the tavern on pine i knew i had to check it out. i went here with my friends on Saturday 1⁄16. we had a few mixed drinks and they were awesome! great prices as well. they had music playing from all genres, old school… new music. it was loud enough to hear but not too loud. our waitress was very sweet and helpful– she also seemed happy, like she wanted to be there working– it was very welcoming. this will be our new bar and we are so excited! great job Bruno & old plush staff
