Beach Hut Deli

My husband took me here… very cool décor and the food was amazing! I will definitely be back with the kids. I would have given a 5 star review if at least one side was included. The price for the pasta/​potato salad was a little high, but the size and taste of the sandwiches were fantastic!

My boyfriend dragged me here, as I am not usually a fan of going out to eat for a sandwich. BOY was my mind changed. This place is awesome. Their sandwiches are amaaaaazing, and I’m pretty sure everything else is good also. They also sell alcohol for those who like a drink with their meal (and why not, since youre at a «beach hut»). This place from the outside is very deceiving, so when you walk in, you’ll be surprised. Great place!

Great deli!!! Coming back and bringing the family. Very clean, friendly and helpful counter staff and add a delicious lunch makes this perfect!

I come here every week to play trivia (Thursday’s) and I have an awesome time every time. The sandwiches are amazing you literally can’t choose a bad one. And they have a pretty decent selection of beer that you can roll a dice for and get it at a discounted rate.

I visit this spot quite often and I had them cater couple events with always the same outcome — total satisfaction. The regular size is more than enough portion for one person. Very generous with their fillings as well. Happy hour M-​F 3 – 6 And margarita weekends do you need to say more. The menu is very huge guaranteed to satisfy all with salads, nachos and of course hot or cold sandwiches to choose from. Must visit if you in HB. Plus couple big screens for all sports fans out there.

The staff were super nice and helpful with their recommendations, sandwiches were really fresh and the perfect size, nice beer selection with cold glasses, and really chill vibe– plus every booth has its own tv for all you sports fans… looking forward to trying their breakfast (and going back for lunch!) Love this place! I frequently visit this location for dine-​in and have ordered a party tray in the past. Everyone raved about how great the sandwiches were. You gotta try it!

It’s my fiancé’s birthday today and we wanted a quick bite to eat. She is from San Diego. The customer service here was on point. From the lady at the register who answered all of my questions, to the man who offered to wrap our sand which once we figured out we couldn’t eat the two sandwiches and wedge salad we ordered. I recommend this place to anyone seeking a nice deli.
Foot note, the décor is pretty neat as well.

Thursday night trivia with the man, a son and others. Had a blast! Ate a bowl of açai berries and fresh fruit that was AMAZING! Sandwiches going by looked yummy. Down fall was the wine I was served came in a Pilsner glass. Upside was the heavy pour of wine in the Pilsner glass. Place ran out of glasses early on and heard this happens all to often. Don’t be cheap, either buy more glasses or hire a dishwasher. Would encourage a visit here for the food and Thursday evening trivia. I’m sold.

Good sandwiches. Great staff. Always really nice and accommodating.
Place is always clean, including the bathrooms.
Great drink selection… fancy Coke machine thing that lets you do I don’t know how many combos.
We’ve had a sandwich platter as well and that was fantastic.

So here’s the rundown. Called in at 7:30pm to place an order for pick up. The girl who picked up asked if I could hold, sure, of course. 8 minutes later, still NO ONE yet. So I hang up and call back, same girl asks if I can hold, I tell her no I’ve been on hold. Finally she takes my order and tells me it’ll be 20 min. That’s fine, I take my time driving in and get there about 25 min since placing my order.
When I walk in and pay, the girl checks my order and says they’re finishing it up, it’ll be another few minutes. I’m cool with it, the food is good enough that I don’t mind waiting and I can see they’re busy. So I sit down and just wait, and wait, and wait and FUCKING WAIT! I see all these people who came in after me get their food.
Finally I’m fed up, the man that just walked in about 10 minutes ago just got his food! I go to the counter and ask what the hold up is, and the chick says to me, «oh the other girl didn’t tell me you were here!»
Are you fucking kidding me? at this point it’s been over an hour, 30 of which I’ve just been sitting in the damn restaurant. The girl refunds me my money and asks if I still want my food it’ll be another 10 – 15 minutes!
FUCK THAT! You know I tried being patient and understanding but it’s just inexcusable that they completely forgot all about my order. Being busy is one thing but the service I received today was fucking horrible and has completely turned me off to this specific location, and I fucking love the shark bite and Marley nachos!
COMPLETE BULLSHIT, stop fraternizing with every regular that comes in and pay attention to the loyal customers you’re burning!

Whoa! How did I miss out on this place the past 3 years… Amaaazing sandwiches, really cool atmosphere and my favorite part was rolling the dice for a $ 3 beer! Haha definitely coming back often !

I have since been back several times due to recommendations. Against my better judgement I went back and fully enjoyed my experience there. Again the food is great and the beers are even better. I have had great experiences with everyone on staff and I’m glad to say that this is one of my regular spots now. I’m glad that I gave it a second chance and I’m heading back there tonight!

I had the Haole Cheese Steak and it was amazing. High quality meat, cream cheese, and a bit of pepperoncinis on a quality toasted French roll. I ordered a regular, which was about 8 inches, and it was almost 11.00, so it wasn’t cheap, but it was worth it with how much meat they put on the sandwich. I would rather pay 11.00 for this, then a 12 inch sandwich with half the meat for the same price. Customer service was excellent. I was here about 8:30pm on a Sunday and it was very slow and quiet. I’m sure this place gets busy during the day though.
One thing I might try different is the peppers on the side, since they tended to overpower the sandwich slightly, but it was still really good.

The food here is pretty good depending on who helps you. I’ve had great sandwiches here and pretty awful ones also. I guess it really depends who they have working there.
Either way though BE PREPARED TO WAIT. There isn’t a line it’s just that the service is always slow. Not your typical sandwich shop, they haven’t figured out how to handle making sandwiches.

I was in the area for business and stopped here for lunch. Great experience that started with Britney at the counter. We built a sandwich not on the menu that was terrific (see the picture I uploaded). Nice atmosphere, great staff and awesome meal!
If you are in the area and like a high quality sandwich, this is a must stop.

With proportions so big, you’d normally be in a food coma (plus gain weight). But luckily, the ingredients are so fresh and light that you leave feeling satisfied and ready to get back in a bikini. The bread is baked wide enough to handle the generous amounts of stuffings. The stuffings are cut into appropriate sizes. And when you’re between bites, you and your friends can watch the tables personal TV. Epic win for football season! Needless to say, I am thoroughly impressed and will readily come back again.
Try their speciality sub with roast beef, avocado, bacon and cream cheese, mayonnaise!

We went to the Beach Hut Deli becuz sonny boy and hubby luvs sandwiches. I’m not really a sandwich type a gal but I’m out numbered by 2 to 1 … =(The order at the counter deli is located on Beach Blvd. in the Steinmart strip mall. It has a surfer decorated vibe with surf boards as tables in the booths … very cool.
We ordered:
(1) The Woody
Small — A sweet french roll filled with hot roast beef, bacon, cheddar/​cream cheese, tobacco/​bbq sauce, mayo, onions & lettuce. The sandwich was fresh and the roast beef was tender. Purty tasty. Hubby ordered the same sandwich and liked it also
(2) Beach BBQ
Large — Sonny’s sandwich was with a French roll with chicken & bacon topped with a spicy bbq sauce. He said it was a good sandwich.
(3) 2 Bags of Kettle Chips
None of the sandwiches are served with a side… not even a pickle. This was disappointing to me since their prices are not cheap.
I liked the vibe of the restaurant but add a FREE side to your sandwiches. 3 Stars!
