Darin Fong, DDS

I love Dr. Fong and his team. They are fast and painless, easy to get and appointment, and great with my kids. I thought for sure my daughter would bite the hygienist or refuse to open her mouth, but when she asked my daughter if she could look my daughter happily opened wide. Dr Fong also took out my wisdom teeth painlessly and the office staff called to check up on me the next day. I have been with this office for years and wouldn’t go anywhere else!

It is nice to finally go to a friendly, clean, and most of all professional dentist. For years I neglected the dentist chair and yet Dr Fong helped to rejuvenate my teeth and oral hygiene. The staff is very friendly and I have never had to wait for more than 5 minutes before being seen. Shout out to Jeanne she always makes me feel like I am the only patient in the office.:)

So I had a tooth that had been bothering me for a long time but dreading going to the dentist due to a bunch a of bad experiences I had in the past. It had been over 10 years since my teeth have been touched by anyone. I mean I take care of my teeth but I just don’t trust dentists.
I was recommended to Dr. Fong through a friend. It’s a small little office in the corner of a dying center on Warner and Magnolia. The inside is very modern and the staff is very friendly. They have great hours and are always will to work around my crazy schedule.
Now the reason for the 3 stars is because I feel that a few procedures that Dr. Fong overlooked caused me a lot of pain and I wasn’t real happy with. For example I had an impacted wisdom tooth pressing against a back molar and the wisdom tooth need to be removed and the back molar need a root canal. This process was very painful. The removal of the wisdom tooth was intense. I wanted to be knocked out but they insisted I be awake because it was no big deal. That tooth was so strong that he couldn’t get the leverage to pop it out and he was press so strongly against the sides of my mouth I was almost brought to tears. I was about to say give me that tool and ill pry it out myself. Once it was removed it took some time to heal and then one the deep socket was healed Dr. Fong started on the root canal but after the job was done and a week later it felt like I still had roots at the base because my tooth was very sensitive still. Then an impression was taken for the crown but it was done wrong and was messed up and had to be re-​done and I waited like a month to finally get the crown and it felt like shit for the longest time.
That process was a nightmare in my book and it only gets better because apparently 6 months later after everything was healed I went in for a deep cleaning and they took an X-​ray of my jaw and the lady was like you need to get your lower wisdom tooth removed and I was like what the hell! I looked at the X-​rays and they was a piece of tooth floating around inside my gums and had been hurting like a mother all that time. So now i understood where all the pain came from. I got the cleaning done which was pretty painful and they scheduled to have that bone spur is what they liked to call it removed and have my gums hacked all up again in the same spot.
This is just one example but it could be that I have bad luck or no luck at all and it was a crappy scenario to begin with. I shouldn’t be too harsh because I am totally fine now and Jeanie always takes care of me. So that’s a plus.

Going to the dentist sucks and I’m a notorious dentist office hopper. But for the last 3 years I haul me and my teeth to Dr Fong’s office.
He has a very gentle touch and takes the ouch out of most procedures. Also, I’m never left waiting for hours which is one of my biggest peeves at doctor offices.
His staff is friendly and efficient and they don’t price gouge or recommend unnecessary procedures.
As good as it gets, for a dental visit.

Dr. Fong and his team are the best around! I have been going here for years and have always had top notch care. From walking into the office and seeing Jeanne’s smiling face, to Annie Dr. fong’s assistant and not to forget Susie and Kara the hygienists, all are super friendly and make you feel so comfortable when going to the dentist can be so nerve wrecking. Thank you for making it so easy.

Everyone thinks going to the dentist has to be a bad experience. For me it usually has been until I started going to Dr. Fong. He does a great job, pain free and has always been friendly and accommodating. His office staff is amazing, Jeanne has always worked with my insurance and gone out of her way to work around my schedule.
If your dentist isn’t this great, I suggest changing to Dr. Fong as soon as possible.

I have been going to Dr Fong for the past 15 years. When many dentists are like used car salesman, Dr Fong and his staff are phenomenal. He has come in after hours late on a Friday night to fix a broken tooth I had and always to to accommodate my schedule. He is a professional and does a stellar job with crowns and veneers! I moved from the OC to Pasadena and now I drive all the way down to HB cause I know I am getting the best dental services available.
