Live beats on the beach to chill out on Sunday afternoons with the family while watching the sunset. Gotta love HB!

Great! Thanks for starting this circle, David, back in early ’99. Hey, it’s the 10 year anniversary! Can’t beat the view… it rivals Aquatic Park in San Fran. Tight grooving beats. None of the crusty homeless factor of Hippy Hill, none of the ear-bleeding police-watching cacophony of Venice. This one is in the top 10 of California drum circles. Up there with Sproul Plaza. Thanks again David!

Our friends have been here and loved it! We live so close, have the time but why hadn’t I gone after all these months? After all, we own our very own Diembe Drum and Cow bell.(hee-hee-hee) …who knows… Today was the day! It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon. We took a drive down to the Beach, parked our vehicle and walked on over. At first there were only about 5 drummers setting up shop. Warming up, beating on the drums. Next thing you know, here comes more people with drums and other instruments! My friend told me, that this was what Sunday’s were all about. Just letting the work week pass you by, sit back and relax and feel the music. I had thought to myself then told her,(while listening and enjoying the beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean) «It kinda brings you to your roots.» «Almost like, I am human, hear my heart beat!» EXACTLY! It does bring you back and grounds you. I started to see all the spectators starting to form a small mass around it all. Dancing, clapping along… just being there. Listening to the melodic sounds from each and every different yet unified individual. Witness it for yourself. We plan on making another trip, but this time to Venice Beach. Think of this experience as a free concert at the beach and ask yourself…“Why not?”
