All i’ll say is that Marcos De La Cruz is the literal best music teacher I have had. Ever. It’s as plain as that. At least for me, since day one he has been able to overcome any musical obstacle I have had, bringing me from a musical zero to a drumming hero among my friends. He just understands how to break up music into easily comprehensible parts, along with being able to be insanely accurate at keeping «time.» I’d even compare him as far as a human metronome.
But that’s only just talking VERY briefly about how he is. He’s also a consistently flexible, funny open guy who just seems relaxed all the time. And seeing him play is just insane, having the most consistent beat while being able to do any crazy combination of drum fills he can. He is easily without a doubt one of the best drummers I will probably have the experience of ever knowing. And his studio is something else. Going into his home, i didn’t expect anything but when he showed me into the room, i was actually a bit awestruck. The room looks amazing, with a few musical decorations on the wall, as well as a great sense of lighting and all this (to me at least) crazy music equipment in one corner where he is able to mix and produce and do a lot of his musical activities. Also, he’s able to fit in two really nicely tuned/​amazing looking drum sets for you to use in that same room.
So to recap, Marcos is a great teacher who is easily able to teach people what he knows, while also having the advantage of a great music room to do so in. ⁵⁄₅
