Rip-​offs!
My existing pool filters top cracked and I needed to replace it. I went to 5 Star Pool Supply to see what can be done. They said that they can order a new top from the factory. The part Cost $ 265.00 to be shipped the next week. That was great till I found out that it was the wrong part and the top was thinner than the old top that I had. Sure enough it leaked like crazy. 5 Star told me that I needed a new O ring and lube. So I purchased the lube, O ring and a new bleeder and pressure valve. (The old valve didn’t fit the new top) Sure enough it leaked again. My pool man said it was not the right part. 5-​Star came out and said that the bottom base of my existing filter was cracked and oval and that’s why it still leaked. My pool man got me a different top and it fit perfect with no leaks. I asked 5 Star to take back the part not for cash refund but for at least a $ 150.00 store credit. They said that they could not because it was used… They said that they could if I purchased a new filter system costing over $ 600.00. I don’t know about you but I think I got screwed in this. The part was wrong, it didn’t fit, it leaked and it wasn’t even made with the same material. Shame on you for your business methods 5 Star-​Pool Supply. I didn’t think you would treat a 3 year customer that way.
