Dog friendly! Yes. Casual atmosphere, located inside of a business complex. The Great One never disappoints!

Such an awesome place! Family owned brewery with a great atmosphere, tucked in a industrial park. One of my favorite pass times, when I’m not punching people in the face, is enjoying a nice craft beer. They have several TVs and board games for entertainment. Unfortunately they don’t serve food, but there is a food truck outside for all your cravings. I probably tried 8 different beers but my favorite ones were the Going Coco (red ale) and Double Minor (Belgian dubbel). If you’re into craft beers, you need to make a pit stop. I am definitely coming back for a couple of more rounds and bringing the pooch next time. Cheers!

I have been to every craft brewery in OC and this is my favorite. Great atmosphere. The family that owns it is super nice. The beers are really done well — the flavored ones have just the right amount of flavor. I have not had anything that I’ve disliked; my favorites are «The Subtle One,» which is a pineapple-​habanero IPA that they have on special sometimes and «The Coco» (coconut-​amber). The only complaint I have is that they now have this membership thing going on where they only release certain beers to their members. If I lived closer, I would join, but it doesn’t make sense given the amount of time it takes to drive there. I was bummed last time when I wasn’t able to order the beer I wanted because I wasn’t a member.

i guess since i have a membership here, i should prolly write a review… but i’ll keep it short and sweet.
the beers are great. the coco is my personal favorite, but honestly — they’re all delicious. the service is wonderful, and kaya’s kitchen is an added bonus. great beer munchies!

Who knows? There are good breweries in this suburbia and it’s good. The idea is clearly serving local, the «Cheers, where everybody knows your name» concept. We are, however, a group of out-​of-​towners on an «OC Beer Tour.»
It was great to find the Saison which was a bit too sharp for me, but still very enjoyable. The «Great One» was intensively delicious.
Do check out the food truck in the parking lot. You order and he delivers into the tasting room. Considering bar-​foods, they are quite high quality.

Great location easy to get to. They have games to play while you drink as well. I loved the beer selection. They have a coconut beer that can be mixed with the coffee dark ale is amazing. I love the people who work here as well super helpful. I had some of their IPA as well and it was great not to bitter and super floral.

Big fan of Four Sons, came here over the weekend and tried some great beers. Very good variety and quality. Tap room was very lively. Will definitely be back when in the area. Food trucks are usually outside for some grub.

I really think the beers are quite solid. The Nightmare on Gothard Street (porter) and The Coco (Coconut amber) are really delicious. I also enjoyed the Ryan Special, which was a blend of the porter, stout, and raspberry blonde.
They also have seasonal stuff on tap too. The Sour Stout and Imerpail coco was really enjoyable. Unfortunately they have reserve society stuff, so you can only try special beers if you are a member (w/​a hefty +$ 200 membership fee, boo).
The brewery is really clean and there are lots of board games to play. Food trucks on certain days too. Check this place out.

Four Sons is a small, family owned brewery. It has a great local feel to it, and all four sons were present when we visited on a Friday night. It was very crowded, and my boyfriend and I had trouble finding seats for ourselves. I got a flight of four 4 oz. pours ($ 7) for myself, and my boyfriend had a 13 oz. of The Great One ($ 6), which is an IPA that has a whopping 9.9% ABV!
— The Coco (Amber): LOVED this one! There’s a distinct toasted coconut aftertaste that is extremely pleasant and refreshing. Definitely a unique brew that they should be proud of.
— Land of Hopportunity (IPA): Decent IPA that did prove to be quite hoppy.
— The Great One (IPA): Honestly I had a hard time distinguishing between this one and the other IPA… but I’m no cicerone.
— Nightmare on Gothard Street (Stout): I love most chocolate coffee stout concoctions, and this was no exception. But I’ve had better.
— Up on the Rooftop (Doppelbock): This is their Holiday brew with nutmeg, cinnamon, and allspice. I have to say I didn’t like it much. The aftertaste was reminiscent of black licorice. I’m sure it’s somebody’s thing, but not mine.
I would much rather come back in the afternoon when there’s still light out. Four Sons lacked appeal for me in its crowded state, but I could see myself spending a lazy day off with a game of chess (they have a shelf of games) or cornhole. Oh and awesome playlist… we were about to leave, but we just had to stay to groove to Porter Robinson for a bit :) Solid addition to the OC beer culture.

It’s really been over a year since I’ve written a review? Yikes! This awesome little family owned brewery is well worth breaking my year long silence over.
I like all kinds of beer — sours, stouts, porter, ales, etc. so I’m up for almost anything. They have great flights at a very reasonable price so don’t feel like you need to be pinned down to a specific type of beer. So far there hasn’t been one beer that I’ve tasted that I haven’t liked. I’ve rarely liked any berry flavored beers as they usually have a cough syrup like quality to them. That was not the case with the lovely little strawberry number I had in one of my flights. Very enjoyable, light and refreshing.
Very cool vibe and kick back atmosphere. The growlers are a steal and there are some seriously good snacks to be had by a food truck or two.
Please show this family owned and operated business some Big Love. They deserve it and you won’t be disappointed!

They are doing it right. Hoppy, rich, malty and dark, they have something for everyone. Great space as well. Killer spot for football and beer.

I’ve been to Four Sons Brewing several times. Each time the experience has been good. Friendly staff and great vibe. Dog friendly so we’ve brought our dog with us a couple of times. They usually have a food truck outside so you can grab a bite to eat while you enjoy their beers. I recommend starting off with the flight to sample their beers. They have board games available to entertain you and several TVs to watch sports. The last time I was there they are a couple of IPAs on their list which gets them two thumbs up from me.

The atmosphere was good, that’s for sure. I will probably come back to watch a game or to meet up with people.
Beer-​wise, I can’t give them high ratings. Nothing I tasted was bad, but nothing was above average either (I tried 8 different beers). The competition in OC is really rough right now, and Four Sons’ beers just don’t measure up. Consistency appears to be an issue as well.
Its a great little shop though, so I expect they will improve with time and the clientele is nice (and plentiful) so I don’t expect them to go anywhere.

+Love the vibe at this brewery. Everyone’s chill and friendly. The regular named Lisa started talking to me and explaining what was her favorite beer at Four Sons, who’s the owner, etc.
+The workers (most family member of the owner) were also very friendly. The girl that helped me out recommended some beer to me and they were all great. My favorites are The Coco (Coconut Amber) & That Orange Wrapper (Peanut Butter Chocolate Stout) & Nightmare on Gothard St (Chocolate Coffee Stout). To be honest, at first I couldn’t taste the Coconut too much for my The Coco but then after a sip of my boyfriend’s Nightmare on Gothard St, I took a sip of The Coco again and definitely tasted the coconut flavor more. Definitely recommend other to do the same if you don’t taste the coconut flavor at first. :)
+Four Sons also offer food but I didn’t get a chance to try it so looking forward to trying it next time when I visit.
–I really couldn’t bring myself to like «The Pink Ranger» (Vanilla Raspberry Sour Blonde) (& «O’Sonset» (Irish Red) Clearly both were sour but they both tasted like artificial syrup/​medicine. Never again
Besides the pink ranger & o’sonnet, I liked all the other beers I tried. Definitely will be back!

This place is so German style. They sell their beers only. No food at all.
Better bring your own popcorn!

Beer flights were $ 7 and my favorite was the coconut amber and the hefeweizen. This place has board games, bags, chill music, and this other game where you swing a hook on a string onto hook. Ive never seen that before and thought it looked like a good drinking game. Overall, the experience was chill. Ordered a flight sampler while enjoying good beer, good weather, and a game of chess.

Solid beers. They do offer tasters here and they do have a «members only beer» which I couldn’t taste. The brewery is located on Gothard, nearby all things all industrial, just like any other brewery out there.
I tried 8 of their samplers. I really liked the Going Coco Nuts (Red ale) and Nightmare On Gothard St.(Stout). They had a «spa beer» that had cucumbers in it, strangely addictive but I think that was catered more towards the ladies. So needless to say, they do experiment here and the taps are rotated out frequently. You can find some of the tap list from here:
The staff here is great, fast and friendly. There is a TV on the wall and there are plenty of seating inside. The only gripe I have here is that most beers are less than 10% ABV. Next time, I will bring some friends over!

This was a pleasant surprise tucked away in a Huntington Beach industrial park. As you’re approached there is a Four Sons flag that signals where the parking lot is. As I turned in, I noticed in the parking lot was a food truck and there was corn hole set up just outside the brewery. This is your typical craft brewery in the middle of an industrial park with some seating, the bar, a TV and all the brewing equipment behind you to look at.
When I arrived there were a few people who appeared to be regulars there and me. By the time I left, the place was packed! I have never been here before so I decided to do a tasting flight… I tried the «Not So Dum» Raspberry Blonde, «The Coco» Coconut Amber, «The O’Sonset» Red and the «Nightmare on Gothard St» Chocolate Coffee Stout. The Raspberry Blonde was one of those perfect hot summer day beers, when you want something light and cold. The Coconut Amber didn’t really hit the spot for me, it was ok but I had no desire to get more than the tasting given to me. The red was very tasty but my favorite of the bunch had to be the Nightmare on Gothard St… so yummy!!!
The staff was very friendly and the beer was good. I’ll definitely be back!

Some of the best craft brews in OC. As in the same league as Cismontane, The Bruery, Bootlegger’s et al. And right here in HB. This craft beer rage in OC keeps getting closer to home. Too bad I am more of a wino than a beero, but when I do drink beer I prefer one of substance.
The beers I sampled;
The Great One is an Imperial IPA ABV: 9.9%. If you are a hockey fan, you may see what they did here. For those of you that are not, Wayne Gretzky was one of the best players in the history of the NHL, hence the moniker The Great One. And wait for it… his number was 99, same as this IPA’s ABV. Can we get a round of applause for the sense of humor around here? This IPA had a nice nose and not too hoppy of a finish. They really do a nice job on this one.
Nightmare on Gothard St. is a delicious Chocolate Coffee Stout. Also a cool creative name as well, and I had to order it up mainly because of that name. Loved this one too, a little big and chewy but still refreshing. Not as strong as The Great One, weighing in at 8.3%. Since I am a wine drinker these stronger brews are more to my liking, but you need to respect and sip accordingly.

No kitchen, but they will have a food truck parked in front on most weekends. The day of our visit (New Years Eve Afternoon) they had the Rolling Sushi Truck serving up some very surprisingly fresh and tasty raw fish. Review to follow soon.
Please pay this family run business a visit, so on those rare occasions I want a fine brewed beer, they will still be here for years to come.
