Found Get Pitted on groupon and got a Great deal for an hour lesson at seal Beach. Micah really gave me a custom lesson that focused on my weaknesses and gave me progressions on how to improve and stand up surfing. After going out on my own once, I decided to get a lesson and am glad I did. Micah really knows what he is talking about and is a genuinely great respectable guy. He really broke down surfing into an easy to understand format, and gives you customize pointers each time after watching you surf. Highly recommended

Micah is an excellent instructor. He is extremely motivating and patient. I’m learning to surf at an older age and Micah breaks everything down in a way I can understand. Through out the lesson I could really tell how experienced he is, he gives you his personal tips on how to improve your technique. He tailors his lesson to each student individually so it’s specific to their learning needs. I’m looking forward to my next lesson!

The best surf instructor out there! Micah really understand your skill level and adapts accordingly. He gave me pointers to get me up and riding in no time. I can honestly just say for the price and time, effort and passion Micah puts into teaching its a steal!

We were looking for a surfing instructor for our son and Micah came highly recommended. We are so happy we hired him! He is great! Our son has learned so much (even stood up his first time out). Micah teaches not only surfing but water safety and respecting the ocean, which as parents, we are grateful! Micah’s love of surfing has definitely rubbed off on our son. I would recommend him to anyone looking for the best surfing lessons out there. He was wonderful!

Micah is a great instructor and a great guy. He is very skilled in the sport but most importantly he’s very patient & encouraging which helps tremendously with beginners. He gave me some great advice that I’m continually applying. If you have a chance I would recommend anyone to get a lesson from Micah first before they waste their time battling the waves on their own. It’s well worth the time & money. Starting out in this sport is tough but with the right tips it can be made a lot easier!

I was on the market for some surf lessons and looked around the web for a few days. a friend referred me to Micah and I went along with the recommendation! It was the best choice I could’ve made going with him!
I’ve taken two lessons so far, and plan on taking a few more! He makes learning fun and enjoyable. He really cares about surfing and his students, which I think really makes a big difference to my learning experience.
And when I found out he’s also known as «the surfer dude» from YouTube… I told my surfer friends about it, and they were all stoked about it!
