JJ WINDSHIELDS

We needed our windshield repaired ASAP… Called the company this morning around 10am and was told someone would come out to my location to replace the windshield, and would arrive today between 2−4pm. Around 4pm I received a call from Julio saying that the windshield they had for us is scratched and he did not feel comfortable installing it, and he asked to postpone the installation until tomorrow. We stressed the urgency of which we need this windshield as I can not legally drive with it in the condition it is presently in. He agreed to come out tonight with an unscratched windshield in good condition between 4−6pm same day (today). We then did not hear anything since, therefore began calling his number at 5:30. No answer. Left a message. Have placed numerous calls since and left multiple messages, it is now 6:12 and have heard NOTHING back from anyone at this company.
To summarize: Had appt between 2 – 4, he called at 4 and said will come between 4 – 6 and it is now AFTER SIX and is NOT ANSWERING MY CALLS. He is now MIA, I am sitting in my work parking lot waiting and for all I know he is in Timbucktoo, or at home enjoying his night. Or maybe he is stuck in traffic, which would be FINE but there has been NO communication whatsoever.

To add to the previous post from Nadia: We called him again at around 6:20, and he said he had been working on another job and would be here around 7. Now at 7:19 we talk to him and he said he stopped to get gas when he double checked everything and the windshield they have him is almost, but not quite, the correct windshield for the car. That being said, he will be coming out in the morning (or so he says)…we will see.
Two hours sitting at the work parking lot for someone who never ended up showing up. Two hours we will never get back.
Yeah it’s inexpensive ($ 200 for a new windshield with installation) but is it worth it if they don’t show up and don’t let you know they won’t be there until you’ve already wasted your time waiting for them? Maybe, but ONLY if it is ALL you can financially afford.
UPDATE — JJ eventually came through and showed up the following morning and fixed the windshield. The owner of the car being repaired says JJ was extremely apologetic. He reduced the amount down to I think he said $ 150. That’s nice, he took at least $ 50 off for his screw up. I’m really teetering between 2 & 3 stars for this. I’m going to go with two until I decide to change my mind and potentially bump it up to three. We’ll see.
