I can honestly say that I didn’t experience any issues with King Awnings. Ron came out and gave us a reasonable bid, completed the work in a timely manner and didn’t even bat an eye when we changed our minds on him. The quality workmanship and great communication made me call him back for a second time and again he came through.

I have been working with King Awnings for the past year and they have done a fantastic job meeting the needs of our company nationwide. The staff is very accommodating and dependable. Ron Huntley, the owner, is very gracious and really cares about the work he does for his clients. From concept to completion, the quality of materials and design at King Awnings are always consistent. Our needs continue to be met by Ron and his staff and we look forward to doing years of business together.

I give this company 5 stars because they won’t allow for more! There must have been significant personnel changes because I must say that I haven’t done business with such a down to Earth business owner in quite some time! Every question that I asked was answered promptly and concisely. The King Awnings portfolio and references are top-notch and I couldn’t recommend a better company. The swatches that I was able to look at had a fantastic variety of colors and fabrics with varying degrees of UV protection to suit my needs. If you need a really quick turn around, I would recommend asking for fabrics and colors that are in stock to avoid potential delays. With Spring just around the corner, and the Summer heat soon after that, ask for a consultation and take advantage of the«slow season.»

Sadly I must give a poor review for this company. As much as I liked Ron, and believed everything he promised, he did not deliver. The first chance was last November when I had him replace a simple attached awning, I had one approx. 5′ and a small one over a kitchen window. He said he would replace both and he gave me a fair price. The install was set up but the first date and time came and no one showed up until 4:15 so I didn’t want them working in the dark so I rescheduled but luckily I noticed that the frame on their truck was the wrong color and I called to tell them to check it before they came back to install. It was in fact the wrong color so that took another week. When they came to install them, the small one was the wrong size and they would have to remake it. Gary, the installer, promised they would have it for me in 3 days(it was before Christmas and I wanted it installed before the holiday) I never heard from them. I called, I left messages, I emailed and no one responded until after the holidays. In January, when it was finally installed they were apologetic so I just chalked it up to poor communication on their part. So. I decided to give them another chance in April to build me a slide wire awning. Ron came out and we discussed the particulars and we agreed on a goal post type set up with a ‘Y’ shaped pole to anchor the wires. He also promised to make me a metal plate to cover up a fence blemish at the end of the wall. He said he was grateful for the second chance to make things right with me. Well, he didn’t make things right! The Post came with three poles not the«Y» shape we had discussed, which didn’t allow it even spacing from the house, but it didn’t look too bad so I accepted it. Then the awning went up and the slide hooks were so hard to slide that it bent the rod inside the awning. After weeks of trying to contact them… yes, literally weeks! No one would call me back or answer my emails. I finally got Ron to forward my email to his installer who came out and added pulleys to the existing hooks. I guess Ron was embarrassed to speak to me as he totally screwed up this order for me. He didn’t deliver on the metal plate he promised and the original hooks he used for the awning are now rusted. They look terrible when the awning is pulled open. As well intentioned as the Owner may be, he does not follow through and his office personnel do not follow through. His installer works hard but if he doesn’t get the right info from the top he can’t do his job well. I will be looking elsewhere for my future awning needs, and I suggest you do too.

We scheduled awning work/installation to be done at our place of business. A few days later«King Awnings» called and changed the installation date and also required a deposit — Tracy the office manager also said she would follow up with an email requesting a small deposit. No problem… I thought. We never received an email nor a return phone call(we called and left 5 messages and an email). Today was our date for installation and I finally was able to speak with the owner of the company(actually picked up the phone) who said he is out of town and cannot do the job– it had not been manufactured due to no — deposit. I explained our 5 left messages with no return call from ANYONE– How can I leave a deposit if they do not return calls that were made during regular business hours??? They wasted 3 weeks of our time– He didn’t care. A Shady way to handle business. The«King needs to learn customer service
