Update:
After posting this review, Rob contacted me and asked if he could come out asap and replace the missing corner piece. He explained that he thought he was doing me a favor by pulling the treated boards since they had small holes in them. We can agree to disagree on this point, but I think regardless, for the future it would be best to ask before doing something like that. He installed the corner piece quickly and the color doesn’t match but I can touch it up. I thanked him for coming out again and he left in a huff. I’ve added one star since he did come out again.

I asked Rob to come out and replace a small section of wood laminate that had rotted due to toilet leaking. I already had the toilet removed, so this should have been a super quick job. Rob took out the rotten boards and found termites, so we agreed that he would stop for the day and come back after the termite service had treated the area to finish installing. The termite inspector told me it would have been much better to leave the termite droppings so he could see where they came from and if they spread out beyond the small area under the boards, which I did not know. Wish Rob had thought of this but he cleaned up, which was fine.
The termite inspector drilled and treated some of the surrounding boards and that was that. Rob then came back the next day and proceeded to REMOVE THE TREATED BOARDS. WHY?! I have no idea why he would leave the two boards to be treated and then tear them out without even asking. I was upstairs working and didn’t realize until I came down for coffee and it was too late. So I just left it alone and let him finish up, which took about 3 hours longer than he predicted. Also not worth arguing about.
At the end, he was showing me everything and he had lost a small part of the baseboard and couldn’t replace it. So now there’s a gap in the baseboard. He charged me an extra $ 50 for coming out again, which I shouldn’t have paid, and promised to come back and replace the small piece of baseboard. It’s been over two weeks and I did email and give him a chance to come out before writing this review.
Would not hire again. Ask before you pull up treated boards and do what you say you’re going to do, especially if the customer pays the extra you ask for without complaining.

Rob is a great handyman! He’s helped us out many times. At our old condo, he helped us do a bathroom remodel as well as many other numerous small jobs. In our new place, he installed all of our canned lighting, did all the electrical, drywall, and now again, a bathroom remodel. Like the others have said before, he is always in a good mood! I will and have recommended him to many others.
The only thing he won’t do is painting haha, but I don’t blame him! If there is something he doesn’t feel comfortable with doing, he will let you know and refer you to someone he feels comfortable with. Very honest and trustworthy!

My husband and I feel like we’ve hit the jackpot by finding Rob-​My Handyman Randy. So far he’s replaced our side garage door, repaired drywall after mold repairs, installed wall mounted TVs, removed stone facing and repairs/​textured the drywall, and replaced electrical outlets. He’s coming back to hang pendant lights and install ceiling lights in the garage. Rob came out shortly after I called to get an estimate and fit us in within a week. His prices are reasonable, arrived on time, worked steadily until all items were competed, cleaned up at the end of the day and… he’s always in a good mood! It’s a stress reliever to know we have finally found someone that knows how fix, install and replace anything we need around the house.
By the way, I found Rob on Angie’s List (where he has a lot of great reviews) and am really surprised I’m only the second person to review him on Unilocal

Robert from My Handyman Randy was an A+ handyman! We called him based on great reviews we found on the web to make some repairs in connection with the sale of our house. Some of the tasks were tricky — like installing new window operators and making our pool gate self-​closing and self-​latching. He did everything on our tick list really well. He did not hurry through the tasks, but took his time and made sure all was done correctly. He also was easy to schedule, arrived a few minutes early and cleaned up when he was done. We were very, very pleased with his work and look forward to having him to our new home for future repairs.
