Love this place. Huge variety of sushi dishes. Food is always fresh and we like that its family owned.

Scrumptious! Hard to find a word to describe such wonderful taste the chef creates. So kind too.

I went with a group of friends for a late lunch. The Omakase was exquisite and delicious! The chef was very friendly and personable. He seems to be good friends with the local customers as well. The fish tasted very fresh and tasty. Highly recommended!

Great local place. Abundant variety of delicious, creative sushi rolls and original appetizers. The entrees and bowls are not handcrafted but are of solid tasty consistent quality. I can’t give this restaurant a higher score, though because it lacks atmosphere. The space is divided awkwardly and the furniture is flimsy and uncomfortable. However, the people at Niya genuinely care about the quality of the food that they serve their clients. The wait staff members always remember us and what we like to order. This level of great customer service is very valuable and it goes a long way to make up for less than perfect ambiance.

We came here for my daughter’s birthday dinner. We were handed the menu but decided to go with the All You Can Eat. We each ordered 2 rolls. First, we were served cucumber salad. It was delicious! We were served 4 of the six rolls we ordered. We had to wait for the other 2 because the glass table was too small. One of the rolls we order was the albacore. The albacore was not fresh. My daughter had ordered mochi for dessert. The mochi looked like it was frost bit. For the 3 of us, it was over $ 100 not worth the price could have got a better birthday dinner for my daughter at Del Taco!!!

Small hole in the wall with good sushi. The atmosphere: carpet floors and nice decorations. It feels like you’re eating at someone’s home. Also, descent amount of tables and chairs available with a sushi bar.

I really enjoy the sushi here but I’m not a fan of the customer service. Our waiter was very nice and helpful but the restaurant seemed to be under staffed. It took our waiter about 15 minutes just to bring out our drinks. Then another 20 minutes for the rolls and miso soup. Don’t get me wrong, the sushi is very good. I really enjoyed the cucumber salad they first bring out. It was juicy, flavorful and a bit sour, it was very good. The rolls were drenched in what seemed to be a homemade sauce that was very good. The only food item I didn’t like was the Miso Soup. It seemed like they went to the grocery store and just bought an instant miso package.
Overall, I really enjoyed the food but the service was excessively slow. This restaurant has lots of potential but they first must get more staff. The sushi was very good and the only reason why im giving them 3 stars is due to the slow service.

Went there today, got the all you can eat sushi.
There are quite a few selections to choose from (numerous rolls) when you get the all you can eat, and they’re all very, very good.
One of the very unique ones that I enjoyed was the Jeff role.
Very good price for as much sushi rolls as we ate. Would definitely go back there again.

Fish is so fresh. It’s a hidden gem that’s for sure. Never that crowded, which is surprising. Benefit for those last minute sushi cravings! :)

Very fresh high quality nigiri. I got take out on Monday night… workers were sweet but atmosphere was dead. Have me plenty of wasabi and ginger :)

Tried this place on Friday night. Fantastic! First of all, the décor is very interesting. The place is super clean and the service was great. The menu is creative with their own creations as well as the old standards. One person in our group isn’t a sushi eater so he ordered a teriyaki bowl. He said it was the best he’d ever had. It came with lots of fresh veggies. I had a something they called a HillBill. It was similar to a spicy tuna roll with salmon on the outside. It was served in a bowl and the pieces were arranged in a circle. The roll was covered with something similar to a salsa with red onion, jalapeño and other veggies. Best sushi roll I’ve ever had.
Our total bill for three was $ 65…reasonable. My only negative is that the parking can be a little challenging. It’s right near a 24-​hour fitness. We will definitely be going back to Niya.

This is the best Sushi in Orange County! Everything is so fresh and Tex makes his own sauces and will even do different spice level.

Niya is a great a place to hang out with family and friends. The food is AWESOME and a great value. Rex and June make feel so great and they value their customers. Unusual in today’s restaurant environment! Check out the finishing plate…

2.5 for the rolls/​quality: rice was kind of hard and dry, didn’t have a nice flavor better places have. Eeh. Was not flavor packed the way I expect rolls to be. Sashimi was ok, small cuts though.
3 for the cute, cozy ambiance. Quiet enough for us to have a nice, relaxing dinner.
4 cuz they’re really close to our place.

I went on a Saturday night because my family left me and I had nothing to eat at home.
I was kind of expecting more of like an in and out thing but when I got there the woman was really adamant about the fact that it would take a while and that was I sure that I wanted to take it to go. I was not going to eat alone and I didn’t want to go anywhere else at that point so I just said I would wait. It wasn’t that long of a wait to be honest but I’m still taking my star off for service (I give it more of a 3.7 stars) because she took forever to ring me up. But she wasn’t mean or rude. She was just slow.
The great thing about this place is that they have sooooooo many options! And a lot of their rolls are cheaper than most places so you can two rolls where in other places you could only get one. That’s really awesome for someone who loves trying new flavors! The sushi itself was pretty fresh. I always love the salmon cream cheese rolls so I got that one and another one with tuna and a special sauce. They were both really good but the rolls were on the less filled /​smaller side (maybe that’s why they’re cheaper?).
I mean I’m definitely coming back here because it’s pretty close to my house and they have lots of options. I wish I could make it my go to sushi place around my house but I usually like to get sushi to go so I hope next time the service is a little bit better. Otherwise this place is great.
Note: it’s probably really good for dine in with a group of people. I just didn’t do that so I can’t speak for how service is then.
