Peggy’s Perfect Fit

I just took my work pants in to get hemmed & tailored. I am very skeptical but the reviews are great! I hope my pants come out good for work tomorrow. I will do an update tomorrow ! But so far it was good experience.

Came here to get my wedding dress altered. I bought my dress at David’s Bridal and they quoted me $ 200 to get it hemmed + add a bustle. I decided to shop around. I went to Sun Rose Alterations and TK Tailoring to price match, as well as emailed Rose Anderson Sews Bridal in SD and everyone quoted me around $ 200, which the exception of TK Tailoring who quoted me $ 180.
I really didn’t feel like spending 40% the cost of my dress to get it altered and thank goodness I found Peggy. She hemmed my dress, added a bustle, and sewed on my sequinned belt at half the cost of these other quotes!
I knocked off a star because she is a bit disorganized with her communication. I gave her a month to perform the initial alteration (I said take your time because my wedding was like 8 months away), and when I came into the store on our agreed upon date, she didn’t have it ready. That irked me a lot because I came up from San Diego (my parents live in HB, but still! She could’ve called so I wouldn’t have made the trip to her store). In any case, no harm, no foul since there was still a lot of time. The end result was awesome. The bustle (as with most bustles probably) is a bit delicate because it is only a small hook and loop. I stepped on it during my reception and it ripped right off. My bad! I had two other dresses to change into that night, so again, no harm there!
Overall, I’m very pleased with Peggy’s results and her unbeatable prices and would recommend her for all your tailoring needs.

Came in to this place after reading reviews here on Unilocal,since its so close for me and plenty of good reviews.
Got some scrubs hemmed up, cost me only $ 5.
I needed them done that day, and was told it would be $ 8 for same day service which I would of gladly paid but they offered to waive that extra fee.
I always have a friend do the fitting, and put in a pin where I want the hem. But since this place had so many good reviews and the nice lady helping me offered, I had her do the fitting.
Very happy with the results, will definitely be coming back here soon.

Awesome seamstresses and very quick! Good quality work. One day I had to have a pair of jeans hemmed by the end of the day, and for a few extra dollars it was done! The hem on my jeans looked the same as it did when I purchased them from the store. I love this place!
