Punishment Training Center

My son has been taking the kids jiu jitsu class here for about 8 months. He may have been a little young at the beginning, but they have been very patient with him, and he has learned a ton and grown a lot in that time. Everyone in the gym has been very kind and supportive. Now my husband wants to join to take the adult jiu jitsu as well. It really is a family atmosphere, which is very refreshing.

Clean Facility and is pretty big and even has some of their Punishment Athletics gear to guy there in person. They have a friendly and curious staff
I had the pleasure of meeting Tito Ortiz the Owner years ago and he is the ideal guy you want Owning a Gym you invest in, he leads by example, is incredible with everyone, especially kids and a family man which «creates a family enviroment»
The one misconception about all these Gyms is «They are only for those who want to Fight or even Spar» it couldn’t be the farther from the truth and I have been doing this on and off for 10 yrs «The truth is maybe 5% of people think they want to fight, throw em in there w a guy like Tito at 20% and 99% of them still want to fight :)»
It’s really whatever you want it to be, most people like myself started doing it for Self Defense and to get in Shape. Good Luck and Have Fun!

Great gym for adults and kids as well. The coaches are very professional. There are few good MMA gyms in the area, this is one of them. You won’t feel stranger in this gym, everyone is a family here.

Great facility! Clean and lots of space to get your training on.
I’ve trained an many different fight gyms and I would have to give credit where credit is due and the gym is legit.
Plenty of heavy bags for bag work or cardio kickboxing, big mat floor for jiu jitsu, muay thai, wrestling and MMA training. Not enough? They also have an octagon cage you can train in or where they conduct some of the kids classes as well. There’s also an up-​to-​date weight room and strength and conditioning area.
All in all the gym is the whole package. I had the pleasure to have met Tito Ortiz at the gym as he is training hard in the gym as you are as a student.
Everyone is friendly, coaches are awesome and great for all levels and all ages.
Recommended if you are looking to train in the Huntington Beach area.

Been training here for almost a month now and its been great. The instructors are amazing, ricardo, rob, tito all treat you like family and their goal is to make you the best you can be, no matter what you train. I started working out with Mariana about 2 months ago. I had been with with other trainers who promised results and fell flat and were inconsistent. Mariana is the best personal trainer I have ever had. Her workout is well planned, thought out, presise, and consistent. I feel challenged when I come to work out with her each time.
The best part if I see my body changing, muscle tone, less fat, and yes the pounds are falling off. She definitely pushes me the right way and encourages at the same time. I feel lucky to have met her and have her as part of my exercise program. I would highly recommend her to anyone…

I cannot say enough good things about PTC.
First and foremost, the classes are amazing! I take the Muay Thai and Women’s Cardio Kickboxing classes with Rob Emerson, and they are ass kicking to say the least. I started the classes with absolutely zero experience in any martial art, but he took the time to help me work on my technique and continues to help make me improve with each class. The classes are also great workouts. I can’t think of a time I’ve trained that I haven’t been drenched in sweat…
Part of what makes this gym so great is everyone that is there; the staff, the instructors and the other members. Everyone contributes to such a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, everyone cheers each other on– there are no bros and no egomaniacs, just good people.

My daughter has been going to PTC for about 9 months. She decided she wanted to take wrestling classes and just about that time I received a flyer in the mail that this place had opened and offered wrestling classes for kids. I had some hesitation and some stereotypes of what such a place would be like before we started and this place shot both of those right out of the water.
It’s a great community with incredibly kind, supportive and knowledgeable coaches. It is not ultra-​competitive or trying to be ultra-​tough. I didn’t expect the classes to be so gender-​mixed but they are and it’s refreshing. Everyone who works there just plain rocks. Rudy makes it feel like one big family. Tito teaches the kids wrestling class and is a great teacher and the kids adore him. You can tell that he genuinely enjoys teaching. He’s encouraging, patient, and hands-​on. Ricardo leads the Jiu-​Jitsu classes and is exactly the same way. Rob teaches Muay Thai and has such a strong class. It’s inspiring to watch his students get stronger and stronger.
I recently signed up to use the weights and cardio equipment so I do that while she takes class and considering I’m 20 feet away, I can watch her at the same time. Huge bonus for a working Mom — I get to kill 2 birds with one stone and we both get our workout on. Sometimes if kids get there early they take the exercise balls into the octagon and roll around and play dodge ball and frankly I don’t know any other place quite like this. Total family environment and a really nice community to be a part of.
