Maggie at Sandy Toes did our child Erik’s first birthday photo’s with a smash cake. Wow, what a great job.
We’re very happy with the photos as well as her patience with our screaming almost-​1-​year-​old. ;)

We just used Sandy Toes for our son’s smash cake photos, and we had the best experience! Maggie was warm, patient and took amazing shots of our son, even though he screamed through the whole session.
The theme for his smash cake was underwater/​sea theme, and when we got to her house the set was amazing! She had a small boat with rubber animals all around that Erik loved playing with. Best of all we had the pictures in a very short amount of time.
I highly recommend using Sandy Toes for your next photo session.

My family uses Sandy Toes every time we visit Cali. Being a mother, Maggie is great with kids and has even more patience for micro-​managing mommies :) Thank you for filling up my walls with beautiful artwork and memories.

I first used Maggie in 2014 for a newborn session and had a great experience! Since then, we’ve come for mini sessions here and there and most recently a cake smash to celebrate my baby’s first birthday. All of our pictures turned out great and we received them very quickly after the sessions. We were told what to expect with each session, how to prepare (specifically for the newborn/​cake smash) and she even offered to pick up the cake for us from the bakery, which was a huge help! Highly recommended, we will be seeing her again for upcoming family pictures.

Maggie did a phenomenal job at capturing my kids’ personalities. We’ve used her on several occasions and always get amazing shots! Communication is great, editing is prompt and thorough. We will be using her again!

I wish I had looked this woman up on Unilocal before booking a mini session with her. What the other 2 reviewers had to say is spot on. She is unprofessional and unless you absolutely LOVE what she has done (which is the bare minimum) she snubs you and ceases contact no matter how nice you are. My issues with her:
1.) Terrible at connecting with my kid, she lacks personality in general.
2.) Sent me the WRONG photo from the ones I had chosen. I took screenshots of the 3 I selected from mini-​session for my own records.
3.) When I inquired about this (and even said «If it was my error») she was curt and said it was the one I wanted and she had already purged her unwanted files. Like a day after she «worked on» my photos. Any real professional photographer keeps all files least 6 months… heck at least a week would have been nice!
4.) She did literally NOTHING to crop or adjust color/​contrast, I DID IT MYSELF.
5.) We did a Back-​to-​School session where she was to photoshop in my child’s favorite color, teacher name, etc. She did such a half-​ass job on this, crappy fonts, crappy placement, no color variation.
Please do not be lured in by her great prices, it’s not worth it. Pay more and get a real photographer. I am glad we only used her for a back-​to-​school shoot and not a bigger occasion.

We did a mini session. The pics had a nice composition and the field she chose for location was beautiful. But she has ZERO bedside manner. She didn’t try to engage my kids at all during the session. So finally I did from the sidelines. I even suggested she just do candid shots and not try to get them to pose hoping to make it a more relaxed fun environment. Crickets. When she emailed me the proofs I asked if there were any others I could see. (She had chosen for us). Instead of working with me she ceased communication and refunded the deposit. Not what I wanted! I wanted to work with her. No responses to my emails. ??? I’m so disappointed and shocked. I wish her luck. As running your business with zero customer service skills will be hard. And you just lost a customer.

I do NOT recommend her at all! She is very unprofessional and didn’t even try to get my daughter’s attention nor try to make her smile for the photos. Confronted her about being dissatisfied about our pictures and she wasn’t even willing do to a re shoot, totally ignored my concerns! Horrible customer service!
