Jim is a master welder/​fabricator. I’ve used Shirley Designs several times for small jobs. I recommend Jim to all my friends.

I took my front bumper to Jim for some modifications, he removed the clevis brackets and welded on Blue Ox tow brackets, added two «D» rings for the safety chains and added a couple tabs to mount the electrical tow plug. He did an excellent job at a great price. What could be better? You won“t be disappointed if you have Jim work on your project.

Jim Shirley is the premier fabricator in Orange County with vast experience and superior skill. I have been going to Jim before we both got gray hair. He has repaired crumpled aluminum motorcycle radiators, straightened frames, made latches and the latest raised my torsion axle trailer to fit bigger tires. He is one of the last old school, honest, no haggle, no BS guys around. He will always tell it like it is and give you his best price. In all the years I have never asked how much before he does the work.

I had a severely damaged aluminum wheel, thought it would need complete replacement, Jim was able to fix it quickly and with minimal cost. He was willing to stay late to make the repair due to my tight schedule.
I’m a customer for life, or as long as Jim keeps working!

Great guy, great work, great prices. I found this guy on Unilocal today, called him up to fix my grandmas broken Wells Fargo retirement horse from 1983, less than an hour later it’s fixed and like new for only $ 20! I will definitely be back for any welding needs.

Shirley does incredible work. I had a roll bar that had to be mounted, seat rails for a bucket seat and some random suspension for my miata he finished all the work in less then 4 hours. Great quality work no matter how big or small. He also gave me his insight backed on years of automotive knowledge on what i wanted compared to what i needed.
