Do not go here. I had to wait 45 minutes and it was not even busy. I got in my car and it looked as if the inside of the car hadn’t been touched. There was debris and dust everywhere. They didn’t even bother to wipe down my dash. I’m reallt upset that I wasted my money here. Please don’t go here. You will feel cheated afterwards.

I should have read the reviews before coming here. They didn’t even vacuum my trunk even I specifically asked for. As for Interior, it’s still dusty at corners. I paid $ 15.99 for this wash! What a waste! Never come back!

Great place for a good, affordable car wash. I lve been here several times and haven’t had any problems at all. In fact, I had an issue with oil getting sprayed on my car, and the they went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. Highly recommend.

Ok, went there today to use the washes on the card we purchased a few months ago. Looks like they have changed management and raised prices. Saturday at 2:00 and only 3 cars there should have been the clue. I’d just gotten back from a road trip and had loads of bug guts in the grill so the car needed a good washing. Well, they got most of the bugs out of the grill but the rest of the wash sucked. When they finished i walked out and as he began to hand me the keys, i noticed water dripping on the trunk. Told him and he did a quick swipe to dry. Tipped him and got in the car. Bg mistake tipping him. The windows were dirty and I found they didn’t vacuum the trunk. Tons of sand still there without any attention to detail. I found bugs still embedded on the windshield where it meets the top of the car. Had to re-​clean the entire car myself. Didn’t get what i paid for. If you choose to go here, buyer beware. Have very, very low expectations.

Car wash took to long 45 mins plus… Wasn’t even busy. Workers goofed around talking to each other when they should go working. (Note to owner less cars less money) you choose!!!
Won’t be coming back again !!!

The car wash was great, just FYI the person who washes you’re car will probably steal you’re cash and change if accidentally forgot and leave it out. People really sucks!

So this is no longer Surf City Car Wash. It’s now HB Car Wash. Today’s experience was horrible. I should have backed out immediately when no one greeted me in the initial vacuum station. I waited nearly 5 min before anyone came over. I chose the 19.99 pkg and declined the included option of air freshener as I like my new car smell more than strawberries or fresh laundry. I noticed sheets of paper stapled on a few walls telling customers that they would no longer accept the discount card. The posted flyer included the address and name of their attorneys, which I thought was a little harsh for an informational flyer, but whatever. I went inside to pay and handed the clerk my ticket. She rang up $ 20. I looked at the menu board behind her to verify that the pkg actually cost $ 19.99. I’m not going to argue over a penny, but what’s up with that. I then went outside with my book to settle in and wait for my car. The seats were hard to come by and if you are lucky enough to get one, beware. The seats are wrought iron, heavy and uncomfortable. The pattern on the chairs will dig into your legs if you wear shorts.
So again, it’s not an auto spa so what do I expect. So I begin reading, and reading till I realize 35 minutes has past and I still have not seen my car come through the wash bay. I walk back to the vacuum station and see my car is still there, but moved to a different lane. That’s strange, but I’m still just observing and being patient. Until another 10 minutes goes by and I still have not seen my car. At this point I inquire with the cashier if they are low on staffing for the day and she said no. I ask why it takes so long to get a car through the wash? She states she’ll go tell them to hurry up. I reply, ok but I want a thorough job still. Finally things start picking up. Before my car is finished a supervisor with a clip board comes to offer me free air freshener for the extra long wait. Um, it was included with my pkg and I still declined it. How about a free wash with the lame apology about your staff staying out too late trick or treating? I wish I could say in the end the car was immaculate, but no, the guy drying my car got wet leaves on my floor mats and left numerous other clues that I got the hurry up and get this lady’s car out of here. I’m sure they weren’t calling me a lady either. I still left a tip and drove away saying «never again!’ H2Go drive thru does a better job at half the price even if I have to vacuum it myself. Too bad.

Who knew it was so hard to do a simple car wash??? Wash was poor. I didn’t bother checking prior since I didn’t think it would be so hard to wash the car as a whole. Came home and found my passenger door had a large spot of grime near the window. Do not come here. You are better off taking it those drive through car washes with that being the case.

Holy cow! What happened here? Not just BAD management, it’s horrible management!!! Everyone looks like they are working but it’s taking way too long! I think they should have about 5 or more people! Not right!! Geez. Feel bad for employees — it’s like they are rebelling for how slow they are going! It’s not the employees fault their management SUCKS

Im not here to BASH just state my issue with this business. The wash was for a 2015 Yukon XL kinda dirty from the normal HB Weather. $ 30 + TIP
I just wanted a wash and wipe down of a fairly new car… When i saw the inside i was horrified!
Greasy like Armor-​All Everywhere… Dash, doors, windows and puddles in cup holders and creases! So bad i had to roll my windows down to see cars coming from the right side
I could not believe my eyes! Needless to say NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE THIS CAR WASH!

No surprise at the low rating on Unilocal: These guys are CROOKS AND LIARS. Spent well over a year getting a rewards card filled. Today, when I tried to use the card I was told they no longer honor their «old» card, but did I want a «new» card? WHY would I expect them to be any more honest about a new card? No, I’ll not be back. It’s a little farther to the better car wash operations, but I’ll make the trip.

Note to owner or managers: You have a super rude solicitor going around Huntington Beach businesses. Obviously the «No Soliciting» sign was ignored. He came in and tried to talk to me while I’m on the phone. I let him say what he needed to say and then I told him I was not interested. Then he asked «What, you don’t wash your car?». Then he walks out upset shaking his head. Seriously? Get rid of the middle aged guy with super blonde/​white hair. He will NOT give you any business.

Went to get my truck washed today. I think the last time I got it washed here was about a month ago.
It WAS $ 19.99 out of tunnel.
Today they said it would be $ 44.95 and they would «throw in» armour all. for the tires. How do you charge $ 25.00 more in a month? Thanks but no thanks Rafael. What a rip off. Thank goodness all car washes aren’t like this one.
Maybe it will change management again, hopefully.

Ok… I don’t normally do this kinda thing and I’ll preface this by acknowledging that not every customer is going to have an excellent experience every time. In all fairness, a knee jerk review could potentially cause an otherwise eager to please business difficulties in establishing and maintaining a customer base. However, today I decided to use the newly remodeled and presumably newly managed car wash at Springdale and Edinger after our weekend of rainfall. As most of us similarly regard, my car is an investment that I maintain well. I was not pleased. I opted for the «Duke» wash because it offered the «rainbow wax» feature. Probably not an effective means by which to keep your car waxed but I like to believe that I’m taking that extra little margin of lazy man effort and truthfully enjoy watching the snazzy colored foam envelop my car in an imagined protective shield. Worth the 3 bucks more but I’ve learned, you must watch more times than not to ensure they actually push this button. As in times past, this did not happen and I brought it to the manager’s attention. He seemed concerned enough to offer a second time through but time was a premium for me and I informed him that if it went to the back of the line, I would prefer the difference. He said that he would have the workers put it right through and I was content with this. What I was not content with was the attitude exhibited by either his boss or the owner who was obviously not aware that I was watching their exchange. He asked the manager what my complaint was and seemed irritated by his response and genuinely disinterested in the interruption. Not a big deal but the finished product was honestly the worst car wash that I’ve ever received after paying the 20 dollars. I keep my car in better than good condition so I’m not one of those people expecting a miracle or a nearly free detail with annoying expectations. They might as well not have vacuumed and the floor mats were still full of sand. The wipe down was obviously rushed and the dried dirt drops from the weekends rain was still visible. The windows looked cloudy and covered in a film that revealed the workers incomplete area of concentration. There were more observations but the general theme was that I had wasted nearly $ 25.00…yes…I still tipped. Why? Because the guy doing what I was unwilling to do still has to go home to his family and probably works much harder than I do. Therefore, he cannot be faulted for the «hurry up» culture of turnaround that may be reinforced at this establishment. I will not be using this establishment again but my aggravation was too much to ignore. Most of us pay a good chunk of change for the necessity of vehicle ownership and although we may be experiencing drought conditions in this state, the expectation of a decent car wash from time to time should not feel like a complete rip off.

You raise the price and take away features. What a rip off. I hope you go broke and close.

30 plus minutes on a Wednesday at 2pm! Not enough employees, hand washed a truck while mine waited to go through car wash. Quoted it would take an hour. I’ll never go back here!

man I have been going here so long I should have checked the reviews. GARBAGE wash to my car for $ 40. they were going to give it a deep wash take care of water marks on paint and give it a wax sealant. he said he’d take ‘real good care of it’ for me which meant not even a decent car wash. did I mentioned for $ 40? never again. this place is a front for something else — it can’t be a real car wash and do work this poorly.

This place used to be great but has been Horrible since having new ownership. Recently after leaving my car for a few hours they didn’t start it due to thinking it wouldn’t fit through the tunnel (it always has prior). When I came to pick it up it hadn’t been started, they said they would hand wash it and when I came back 2 hours later it still hadn’t been started ! They gave me 50% off my next wash which I used to give them one last chance but again it wasn’t ready on time and the quality was horrible. Pass on this place until they figure out there problems.

I was having my new truck washed when all of the sudden my husband and I had seen the cars getting backed up. Before you know it the cars are running into each other. For my new truck the bed was left full of soapy water. I paid for the kings car was which includes air freshenet, tire dressing, that I didn’t get. This was the worst car wash ever. I called to complain to the owner and it seemed he didn’t want to hear it and hung up on me. When I tried to call back he wouln’t pick up the phone. Poor ownership/​managememt, what a joke…
