How can you not want to learn how to surf in Surf City? I’d tried surfing twice about 5 years ago and always wished I could actually do it on my own. As a giant awkward 30-something with some dollars and a dream, I took a chance on Johnny, aka Surf Jesus, and he had me walking on water — I mean riding waves — well enough for me to take the board and wetsuit out on my own for the afternoon(included in the price of the lesson). Bring a bottle of water to drink at the beach, and prepare to curse your instructor for making the swim out to the waves look so easy, but wow this is fun! Thanks Surf Jesus!

I recently had a surf lesson with Toes on the Nose. We had 3 instructors for six of my friends and it was awesome! We loved the one on one attention. I’m a local here and have never surfed before and this was by far the best experience I’ve ever had in the ocean! I was so comfortable and felt very welcomed. I would recommend this for anyone who wants to learn how to surf or get better at surfing.

When I went I was immediately approached by Kelly. She showed me everything I asked to see. She answered all my questions so politely. It was such a nice experience! Definitely going back!

I live locally in Southern California and have never learned how to surf, as I was looking around to set up a surf lesson Toes on the Nose was the most accommodating and easy going company that I felt comfortable with. I called was able to set up my lesson, it was a one on one lesson, after the lesson I was able to surf all day long. However, after being in the water all morning I was ready to explore Main Street so I rented a bike that came with a lock and everything. It was all so convenient to be able to spend the entire day down in Huntington Beach. Over all it was an amazing day I would recommend them to anyone. They are the real deal and can handle everything for you! Highly recommend!

I went to Toes on the Nose in the Hyatt and had a spectacular time! We had an early surf lesson for 4 people and it was very one on one! We had 2 instructors for all 4 of us and we weren’t put with any other group! The instructors were very knowledgeable and fun with us adults as well as the kids. We had an amazing time and will definitely be back! They give you everything you could possibly need for the lesson as well as a large gift shop where you can buy surf tees and apparel. Everyone is very friendly and it’s a great atmosphere! If you’re in Huntington beach and looking for surf lessons this should be your first pick!

I had an awesome surf lesson with Toes on the Nose Huntington Beach last week. The staff was super professional and made me immediately feel at ease. Their equipment was super nice and they gave me 1st class service.(I had taken surf lessons in Hawaii a few years ago on my honeymoon but hadn’t tried it since.) Even though I had very little experience they made me feel like much more confident by the end of my 1st lesson. I have a couple more lessons scheduled with Toes on the Nose and I can’t wait! I definitely recommend!

The surf lesson took place in front of the Hyatt Resort and Spa in Huntington Beach which is where their Toes on the Nose shop is. It was plush! Not only did they give us wetsuits, boards and leashes, they also provided us with towels and chairs. The lesson was 2 hours which was just long enough to get me standing up and actually surfing on the board. The instructor was very professional and fun and made me feel at ease. We started off with water safety instruction on dry land and then we worked our way into the water. They got me standing up and REALLYSURFING! I felt like a local. They also offer a package with surf/spa I will check out next time. Oh! And cute clothes in the shop too. Plus bike rentals.
