I ordered the salmon veggie bowl with brown rice and it was delicious! It was $ 9.45, which is a bit pricey, but the salmon was very moist and good. Definitely will come back to try their chicken bowl and see how it compares to Flame Broiler.

Alright so I’m on a health kick and wanted to order something super delicious but low cal. I opted for the chicken bowl with brown rice, white chicken meat, and NO sauce. Believe me, white chicken is the way to go and worth the 50 cent splurge. I am stoked on my decision. My meal was cooked after I ordered it. The chicken is yummy and tender and it’s piping hot.
Tip: for extra crunch and taste, get the jalapeño and carrots + green onions on the side. (It’s at the front next to the register, you can’t miss it.)

Great location. The food was delicous and service was prompt and friendly. I took my mom for a quick bite to eat and we weren’t sure what to get. The manager came by and let us know they had a special for two chicken plates for 15 bux so I went with it. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. The rice was not dry at all. Kale salad was excellent and the dressing on the salad was top notch. Mom loved the food too. The manager checked up with us at the end to make sure everything was good. Seating area and bathrooms both fairly clean. The food reminded me of flame broiler but better quality meat and veggies. I’ll be back for sure.

1^st time: ordered a kids chicken veggie bowl to go, realized there was no veggies, ANNOYING! Called to complain, manager said she didn’t know what to tell me or what to do, OK? 2^nd time: ordered a kids chicken veggie bowl with the veggies on the side. No biggie workers took my order but then the so called manager stepped in & said they couldn’t do that because their computer system didn’t have that option. I said really? It’s that complicated to just put the veggies on the side, to which she replied «you have to work here to see & understand, you don’t know the training that we do» Hmmm, I didn’t know it took a genius to work there & put veggies on the side. What the hell was she talking about!!! Food is ok, the workers are awesome but this incompetent manager is something else!

This place is just ok. I might have given it 3 stars, but I arrived at lunchtime and every available table had food debris on it.
I got the chicken and steak plate. The chicken was actually pretty good, and they gave me an entire half of an avocado, which is quite generous these days. I ordered it with brown rice. However, I have to agree with Andrew L., the steak was terrible, really salty, and i’m not even certain it was steak.

Amazing night going to Waba Grill after a long and frustrating day I arrived at Waba Grill to get dinner for me and my girlfriend not realizing she had left all her money at home and I only had $ 16 and $ 18 order the cashier was nice as he could be and paid the difference himself. The food was amazing the staff was friendly, and we couldn’t ask for a happier nor healthier place to eat in Huntington Beach.

If you want cheap but bad Chinese food, come here. I ordered a chicken bowl with brown rice. Chicken was dry and not enjoyable. I also ordered the miso soup. It was mostly broth, not many seaweed and tofu. I guess I need to go to LA for great Chinese food.

BLUF: Booooooo. Booooooo. First and last time ever eating at Waba Grill. Had the steak bowl and it tasted just how it looked. Terrible (reference the photo). Extremely salty and had hard rice.
I’ve always heard of the high ingredient quality at Waba Grill and decided to give it a try. Boy was I ever disappointed.
I walked up to the counter and looked at the menu and decided to order the steak bowl which was just $ 6.99. In retrospect, the lack of a photo on the board should have been a dead give away.
I was quite underwhelmed when my bowl came out. It literally looked like deer droppings on top of rice. But hey, looks can be deciding so I dug in. Even before I took my first bite, I could smell how salty the sauce on the beef was. It was equivalent to eating ramen or other instant tv meal because how salty it was (almost as salty as I’m feeling now). Additionally, the rice had some grains that were hard, either from being under cooked or from being heated up for so long.
Was very tempted to just throw away the bowl but I decided to finish it. Either because I’m cheap or I was digging for a hidden present under the disgusting meal.
Hopefully this is just a bad occurrence but unless I’m stuck between Waba Grill and Petsmart and have to choose one to eat at, chances are I won’t ever return.

Worst service ever. The only customer was an employee eating. Charged me $ 5 for vegetables. I asked for vegetables on the side and it is only .75 $ for vegetables the kid stated I don’t have a button for that.
No thanks Waba Grill rip off the next non customer. Went to flame broiler instead.

Today’s visit was a total disappointment I was too hungry to complaint. The chicken and the beef was cold. I am not sure but may be the meat is already premade in those heating tables but apparently common sense to turn the meat periodically was malfunctioning today.
Both chicken and Beef was dry and cold. very cold and the rice warm got colder with the cold meat. It took me back to my Marine days eating BENTOs in Okinawa.
I do not put any sauce of any type I ate it just how it was given… I did tell the young girl the meat was COLD.
Next time, I have to ensure the food is HOT as it should be before seating down.

I honestly cannot believe anyone would give a restaurant like this five stars.
I ordered the ½ and ½ bowl. Both meats were dry and the only flavor came from the sauce. I took one bite of each meat and politely informed the cook and the counter girl that it was horrible. Both of them were polite and concerned about my experience and were kind as I critiqued the food.
This was my first and last visit to a Waba Grill. I believe I tasted what they intended to serve. Meaning, I got the corporate recipe. I just happen to think it sucks.
I walked across the parking lot and ate at Panda Express.

I’m a big flame broiler fan to start off. But waba blows them away. Fresh veggies and meats. Very solid and healthy meal.

Either I forgot how good this Waba Grill was OR the place has gotten better– WAY BETTER!
Today I had the chicken n veggies bowl with brown rice and green onions. SO SO GOOD

Just the right amount of EVERYTHING. even the green onions, which at any other Teriyaki place I always want more– today, she gave me a side of green onions in a sandwich bag and it was ¼ FULL. I LOVE IT! I may actually have more than I want, but I doubt it.
I’ll def be back, let you know how my next visit goes

I ordered the chicken bowl with no rice and extra veggies. It was delicious. I’m very glad that I found a place with healthy options, and fair prices. Good marks all around.

Terrible would only begin to describe my experience at this waba grill location. Waba is usually very good but not this one. The chicken was extremely dry. They must make it a habit to leave the food out all day. The service was bad the girl acted like she didn’t wanna help you for any reason. I will never return and I don’t believe that anyone should go here.

This location does not give enough rice and meat. The bowl is barely full for the price. Downey location gives you the right amount of food.

Was anxious to try a WaBa Grill. It looks like a Flame Broiler but it is much better. We had a little bit from the store in Anaheim but had this meal from Huntington Beach. Located next door to the Five Guys, we had several people come in after we did — so what’s new? i had the steak and chicken combo meal. It was very good. I am going back. By the way, the service was very good as well.

My first visit here and am having a chicken bowl with veggies — brown rice all white meat. I don’t like veggies, especially broccoli but my trainer said I should try this place because he doesn’t either but he loves the way they make them here. I am so surprised to say how much I really like this food. I don’t even have to drench the veggies in sauce! The chicken is fresh too. I’m definitely making this place a regular spot for me. I’m going to bring friends too!

Very good healthy chicken and steak bowls. And they have brown rice too. Very very tasty.
