Caritas are fat n chunky not stringy like other places. lonche was bomb like Ciabatta bread and Barbados was super juicy

I only come for the tacos de canasta !!! They are the specialty of the house, best thing ever !!! And 6 tacos for 5 dollars this is a deal, if you want a drink you will spend about 8 dollars but this place is awesome just for tacos de canasta

The food is delicious. Unfortunately this is the second time I order take out and they forget to pack up condiments with my order. El caldo en su jugo is my favorite but you cant have it without tortilla, onion, cilantro and some lime and they always forget to pack me some even after I ask them if they did.

Tortas ahogadas are bomb. People there are too friendly! Tacos de canasta are also bomb! Priced very reasonable! Only reason not getting 5 starts is because of the location not having A/​C… and it’s a little crammed in there. .other than that.. I’ve gone back a million times.

This place must be the most confusing restaurant in Los Angeles, the food is NOT AUTHENTIC maybe for some one who is not Mexican and can’t tell the difference. The food is extremely over priced and all over the place. It was not comfortable to eat with so many flys hovering around our food. I will not be coming back here specially not for the burnt frozen isle flautas since they come soggy with some kind of tomato sauce and taste like if they sat in the fridge for a few days. THINK TWICE BEFORE COMING HERE!

I’m such of lover of authentic Mexican food. And sooo pleased to have found such a wonderful place to eat… I recently started working in the area and thought I’ll ask around in regards to a great taco location. Everyone said this place was guud, and boi-​oh-​boi were they right… Veryyyyyyyyy delicious I can’t wait to try some different other than tacos… Such a authentic taste with the first bite… This place is a go!!!

Very good Tortas, before my place was Tortas ahogadas Guadalajara for ten years!! but there not good any more, and poor service and really expensive!!! now I love this place now I will not change it

Burrito de alpastor is the bomb and they do free delivery for locals small space but other than that food is delicious and friendly service

These are pretty good tortas ahogadas even considering that the bolillo isn’t like the one from Guadalajara but let me tell you they are very flavorful, the tacos with carnitas exceptional
We will definitely return food is really good totally recommend this place if you’re in the area.

era uno de los mejores en el área, pero ahora esta infestado de moscas siempre hiba con mi familia por la carne en su jugo pero ahora parece sopa de frijoles y no le ponen ni papas tardan mas de media para servir lastima cuando empezaron era lo mejor de lo mejor se ve que el negocio esta descuidado

Idk about the tortas but I assume is the same meat they use for tacos and tortas! I was in Huntington Park visiting and I was like I’m craving tacos. I Unilocaled a couple of places but they had a letter B so I was like nah and they I found this place and I’m sorry but I wasn’t impressed with the food… It was tasteless! The meat had no flavor whatsoever… Disappointed because I really really wanted tacos! I also order «papas» they have some roasted potatoes on display which is biiiiiiggggg… And when they served me the food it was French fries! I was like Wtf! I asked the cashier and she basically ignored me! I came in with my family and I was very upset. I told him if I wanted French fries I would’ve said papas fritas or French fries since you don’t need too know English to understand what that means! This is a Mexican place it didn’t cross my mind they would serve me French fries! Uuuggghhh never coming back to this place again in my life…

One of these restaurants just opened up by my place, so I decided to try it out. I ordered their torta ahogada special which comes with two tacos dorados. I asked them if I can switch the tacos it comes with, with the other option that has meat (it’s on the menu) they told me they couldn’t (the default option is just potato). Already a let down. Then I proceeded and asked what goes in the torta and they said just the meat. Cool, so after having to remind them that they forgot to give me a drink I ordered, I receive the torta; and it is incredibly tiny. So, if you like 4 inch tortas, this is your place! Not for me though. Lastly, I took a bite out of the sandwich and I was ever so saddened to find beans in the sandwich. This is why I asked what’s in it! I don’t personally like beans which makes it worse. Anyway If I could score below 1 star I would, but to say something nice about the whole experience, the meat wasn’t too bad.
Not coming here again, and I look forward to what will replace this place once it goes out of business.

Everything is made fresh daily and the peoples here are great. They got this tortas hoagada with two fried tacos with a drink for like 7 bucks so it’s well priced but you get amazing flavors at the same time.

I had several tortas ahogadas, in other places. However, this place has the smallest tortas ahogadas. Don’t let the size full you. I was stuff, the torta was delicious.

Wonderful food and terrific atmosphere! Food just like in Jalisco. Everything was declicious, including the jericalla, tacos de barbacoa, torta ahogada. Will visit again. Music in the plaza was wonderful celebrating the sounds of Merida. The folkloric dancers were pleasant to watch. Todo estubo muy bueno; me senti como si estubiera en Mexico!

Came here when picking up my nephew for school. My sis in law said she had gone with my father in law and he really liked it there. So I gave it a shot. Although I am Mexican American I have zero tolerance with spicy food. Ive tried it but i can’t its too much for my mouth and my tummy lol so I was kinda hating this place already cuz most of what they serve is spicy. I looked and saw carnes en su jugo… whaaaat?! My favorite dish! So I decided to get that. My sis in law got some tacos de canasta. We waited maybe like ¹⁵⁄₂₀ min for our food. I was anxious to try my soup! I was reminiscing with my sis about the time I went to Guadalajara and tasted the carnes en su jugo there omg delicious! Our food came, waiter was nice and polite. I digged in! I liked it, they had potato in there which was new to me, I am not sure what part of Mexico the food was from, but it was tasty. It was a bit salty but over all good. My sis loved the tacos they served. If I am ever in the mood of carnes en su jugo I’d come back. It was a little pricey but its worth checking it out! I would suggest little less salt on the carnes en su jugo, its better to have less salt than more. And have an option for home made tortillas. That would be awesome! Also I didnt see a menu only the one on top but it didnt have much, the girl in front of me ordered something off the menu which confused me. If they can have side paper menus that would be great too! All in all give this place a chance, its pretty darn tasty :-)

Never had a torta, but i looove the tacos.

I drive 35 minutes or longer because of traffic just to get myself a torta from this place. They’re just soooooo good. They changed locations and close to Zoe now but still on pacific blvd. this place is wonderful.

This place is really good their tortas ahogadas are so delicious once you try them you will be going back for more and more this is a truly hidden gem for those who don’t know about this place im shocked it only has one review.
