Dr Lipsett and her wonderful tech came to my house today to vaccinate my two very unruly cats. I thought for sure they would have to sedate them (they were feral) but shockingly they did not have to. They were competent, efficient and very kind to the animals. I give them a whole hearted two thumbs up for a job done extremely well!

Dr. Martin and her assistant, Ms. Alba were amazing with my cat today. I’ve used other house call vets, but no one has impressed me as much as they did. They handled my very skiddish cat with ease. They successfully completed an exam, obtained blood and did a needle aspirate. They were thorough, professional, knowledgeable and friendly! I felt very comfortable having them in my home and would highly recommend them to a friend!

We are so lucky to have found Dr. Martin. After years of seeing countless vets to get help for our cats urinary issues we finally got some answers from Dr. Martin.
She spent more time with us than any other vet ever did and she is incredibly knowledgable. She gave us honest advice. She is competent and she truly cares about her patients.
We are moving away from the area but will be making the 1.5 hr drive to Island Vet Group for all of our vet appointments. I can’t recommend them enough.

I’ll attempt to make this as short and to the point as possible but with that being said there’s a lot to cover.
So firstly we’ve been using Doctor Martin since she was a vet at another practice before she and Dr. Weiner opened up IVG as i’ll call it, so with that we’ve followed her for about 8 years now, possibly more and there’s a reason for our love of this vet, it’s their love of animals, what they do, knowledge of their field and compassion and stress free environment.
The long and short of it here, is the location is a stand alone new modern and ultra clean facility, the staff are polite, pleasant, easy going and fantastic to deal with.
One last thing, Dr. Martin and associates have treated or dog Kiwi for Addisons disease, which is complex and difficult to treat, with that being said our dog literally has a new lease on life and at almost 9 years old (St. Bernard) she’s keeping pace with 1 year old puppies at the dog park and ready to play at a moments notice.
Overall an amazing practice that should be noted as such.

I’ve lived a lot of places over the years and have taken my 3 dogs and 2 cats to countless vets. I will never go to another again. Dr. Martin and Meg were just amazing to deal with during what I can only describe as one of the worst moments of my life. Absolutely professional, caring, and honest. This is my now my permanent vet, you cannot ask for a better staff. The facility is also clean and updated and clinical but with a touch of home that will give your pet less stress than other places. Go here, or let them come to you, but stop going anywhere else.

Any time I have taken my dog here, it has been fast & easy — exactly what you want with a very active beagle. They’ve always taken care of Grace perfectly and are always a phone call away if you ever have a question or concern about anything going on with your pet. I wouldn’t think of taking my dog anywhere else!

All of the vets, assistants, and techs are wonderful here. They love your pet and give top-​notch vet care. I’ve always made appointments with ease. In addition, it’s quite apparent that they all like and respect each other. The atmosphere at Island Vet is cheerful and friendly. I’ve finally found my «forever vets.»

There are no veterinarians as kind and compassionate as Drs Martin and Weiner. Because of their care my older dog has survived years longer then anyone thought she would and she is thriving. We love Island Vet group!

First I love this place, second they have a mobile unit and third, they figure out what was wrong with my dog the first time they saw her…

This was my first mobile vet appt. As others have reviewed, I was impressed from the first phonecall to the end of the visit. They are professional, friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable and thorough. They did most of the exam in my home, and then went to the mobile unit for blood work, which I had a choice to do in the home as well. It was no more expensive than the stationary office, and I feel that they were very invested in my dog’s comfort as well as mine. This was an excellent experience, prompting me to want to write a review, and I would recommend them without hesitation.

I have a puppy (yellow lab) who Dr. Wiener treats (in the mobile «office») & I trust her without question. She is caring, sincere and professional. Dr. Wiener explains, in detail, every exam and procedure performed and answers every question in terms I can understand. With this being said, I decided to take my 9 yr old Siamese cat to their office location in Huntington Station. My cat was treated by Dr. Martin, who is warm, friendly and understands a «panicking mother» when she meets one. I am so impressed with this group, I wouldn’t have my pets treated by anyone else, ever. I would recommend Doctors Wiener and Martin to anyone who cherishes and loves their furry «children». All of the staff is amazing as well!

Today was the 2^nd time I used Island Veterinary Group, and I was just as impressed as I was the first time. I’m sure I’m not the only one that has experienced the nightmare of trying to get a stubborn, cranky, and possibly-​ill cat to the vet. Getting them in the carrier, trying to comfort them while they cry the whole car ride, and then getting to the vet where you have to sit with them in a waiting room full of other cats and barking dogs for 30 min — an hour. It’s a disaster at times; trying to do something good for your pet ends up feeling like you’re torturing them.
Anyhow, Island Vet Group is a huge solution for me and my cats. I have two cats, so getting them both checked out at once is incredibly convenient. Simply putting them in the bathroom for a couple minutes prior to the vet visit is 1000x easier for me and more comfortable for them then the debacle described above. Both Dr. Wiener and Dr. Martin, as well as their vet tech, are extremely professional, thorough, and undoubtedly great at what they do. They’re awesome with my cats. They also answered whatever questions I had both before and during my visits. Being able to make appointments via e-​mail is also very cool.
One of my cats is cool as a cucumber, but the other one has a history of being very bratty when it comes to going to the vet. He’s even had to be sedated just so my last vet could do an exam. Island Vet Group handled him with no problem, and even said he was well-​behaved! I definitely encourage you to give these vets a shot, especially for cats. Greatest part about it is it’s basically the same price. They only charge a $ 35 house call fee (even if it’s multiple pets), and even discount the additional pets ($ 20 off the exam fee) if seen at the same time. So it’s basically the same price as going to the vet without all the trauma.
I should also mention that these vets don’t endlessly try to guilt me into getting a thousand different things for my cats that I cannot afford nor need. They also don’t do things to my cats without my consent, and then charge me hundreds of dollars for it. It’s nice (and rare in my experience) to have a vet that understands that I’m not a millionaire and doesn’t judge me to boot.

I have been using Island Vet Group for the past 2 years and I cannot say enough about how great Dr. Martin has been. I have also spoken to Dr. Wiener over the phone and by email and she has always been both professional and informative. I highly recommend them and I try to send them referrals when I can. If you have not seen their mobile vet clinic first hand you’re missing something it is so clean and state of the art.

I cannot say enough about Island Vet Group. Dr. Jaime Wiener and Dr. Angela Martin, along with their two vet techs, Meg and Paige, provide the highest quality vet care available on Long Island. They offer a house-​call veterinary service from their state-​of-​the-​art, fully equipped, immaculately clean truck, making it both convenient for the pet owner and stress-​free for the pet. I currently own five dogs, some of whom have major health issues, and I am grateful for the compassionate and competent care they continue to provide. They can also be counted on in an emergency. They go above and beyond the call of duty. Really.
