If Cheesecake Factory and CPK aren’t cutting it for you, Los Compadres is the perfect hole in the wall Mexican joint right across the street from the Whitman Mall! Prices are low, portions are huge, and service is always spot on. Place your order at the counter, grab a seat, chow down, and pay when you’re done! Don’t forget to get some guac & chips to go with your order… enjoy!

Ditch Chipotle from down the road and take the extra 60 seconds to come here instead. Service is more personal and the food is always fresh and hot.

Just went here for the first time. If more people try this place, the Chipotle down the road would be closed. The salsa was amazing. Beef tacos were outstanding! Support this local business and family because I will be pissed if I weren’t able to get my authentic Mexican fix this close to home.

Don’t be fooled by the tiny building. This place is my favorite for cheap, authentic Mexican food. I go in to order a taco(or three) while I do my laundry at the laundry mat next door. My personal favs: chicken tacos, enchiladas, chips and guac. Salsa is ONPOINT. Something else I love? Personality of the staff. I got chatting with the son and if I remember correctly, it’s family owned and they continue to run the business even after the mother passed away. I love supporting small businesses and I can tell they are very passionate about the food and the people they serve. When my boyfriend wasn’t too satisfied with his one order, the guy took a look at it, remade it, and gave it back without a single grumble or complaint. Those are my kind of people!

I just recently moved to New York after 10 years of living in Texas and Nevada, and have been hunting for good Mexican food in the Huntington Station area. After trying a few duds and thinking it was all over… I discovered Los Compadres yesterday. I had the chicken flautas, and they were EXACTLY what I had been looking for. My friend had the enchiladas and he loved those too. I’m so stoked that I finally have a go-to Mexican place near my house!

Yumm yum yumm! Soo authentic, havent found a homemade mexican spot in a long time! It wasnt commercialized was no where compatible to a Moe’s .well be ordering from there more often! Only reason i didnt give a $ 5 because portions are a bit small. But then again the prices are really good

I have been coming here for years and it’s still as amazing as ever. Everything is made from scratch, including the salsa and chips. My favorite meal is an order of chicken enchiladas with a side of salsa and chips. So highly recommended. Just bear in mind the place is small, so you might want to get it to go

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant. I have gone here since I was a little kid and go probably every other week. The owners are very friendly and the food is absolutely authentic and delicious. I recommend this restaurant to all of my friends and they have come back with their friends. That’s how good this place is.

Low priced Mexican food. Food was pretty good, I enjoyed it. The building is small, so I recommend takeout from here.

The food is so fresh and delicious. It’s a family business an the prices are Great… I got catering to my job. I had to pick it up. And I tried calling all morning to pay over the phone and after 6 calls they actually called me back. Everyone is so so nice there ! The food was amazing too! I feel like the place can use more natural lighting in. It’s very dark in there. Actually. I got to the office and they forgot half of my order. When I called back they asked me to come back and get it. I was very upset … So they delivered the food ! Nice of them

It’s hard to knock there are a lot of positive reviews about this place. It’s okay it’s not great. They don’t have nachos fully loaded so you may have to buy a taco and put it on top of the nachos and then get some guacamole and put it on top of that you have to make your own. This place has a lot of those guys that stand in groups in Huntington Station looking for work coming into eat. This must be gourmet for them but it’s very mediocre for me. Again there are a lot of positive reviews here but I just find everything to be bland. The salsa is spicy.

I am constantly craving Mexican food and Los Compadres is constantly satisfying said craving. This place will NEVER disappoint. I usually stay basic and get chicken tacos(I ask them to add cheese) which are fantastic. This last time I tried their enchiladas and was blown away. And, of course, you can’t go there without having their guac. Not pricey and always delicious. It’s not the most attractive place in the world but it proves why we shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover.

Great little spot. The owner is super nice. The Gordita’s were so delicious as were the Taco’s and Burrito’s we ordered. Has Nacho’s as well and they too were good. The wife and kid’s and I all enjoyed this place and will be back. The place is small, I think it had 4 or 5 table’s and no fancy décor but that doesnt bother me not one bit. Plenty of parking. Great food at great prices. Forget spending a whole day’s pay when taking a family of 4 to Chipotle and whatever other«Mexican» chain food place is around, this place is official. As authentic as I’ve found so far since moving to Long Island. We will be back and try other items from the menu as well as making the Gordita one of my usual treats.

I wish I could give them 0 stars. I’ve been trying to get food from here and they NEVER pickup the phone, return calls when I leave messages for a call back and the even though it says that they open at 11:30AM except for Tuesday’s, they are NEVER open. Good way to do business

Years ago this would be a solid 5 stars all of the time. I first dined here soon after they opened. The tables were leftover fast-food tables with attached orange chairs. It was, um, interesting. The two people who turned me on to the restaurant were both Southern California natives. Having lived and spent much time there myself, I understood why they liked it. First off, tamales. It’s hard to find tamales on Long Island, let alone New York These are huge and excellent. Refried beans. This is exactly what I loved about California-real, refried beans that were made and stewed for a long while. Combinations-not sure what to have? Mix it up. To drink, Jarrito soda-yum! Felix, the owner, is the sweetest guy and friendly as can be. Lunch can be tough and you may have to wait for a table, but the wait is worth it. I’ve had some 3 star and some 5 star meals here-so I averaged it at 4. Either way, authentic is the flavor at Los Compadres!

A friend and I were in Huntington for the night and after looking up some food choices in the area we settled on Los Compadres. What a great find! I’m always a fan of hole in the wall joints, and the food here was so delicious. The space itself is a tiny little shack like place located on a small lot on busy Old Walt Whitman Road. It is a no frills place, but don’t be fooled, the food is superb. We really enjoyed the cheese enchiladas which came with rice and refried beans on the side. If you are looking for authentic Mexican food, Los Compadres will definitely stratify your craving. Everything is extremely fresh. I also ordered chips and salsa on the side. The salsa was excellent, and very, very spicy(I usually go for more mild salsas) while the chips were certainly no Tostitos. This is probably more of a take out place, as there are only a few tables and chairs in the restaurant.
