This place would be really great if they didn’t run out of chicken and the service was a little better. The flavor of the food is really good, but my fiancé and I have been there on 3 separate occasions usually around 7:30 and all 3 times they are out of grilled chicken!!! Wth? On the times we’re able to get chicken, a third of the time our order it wrong and we only notice it once we get home and open the bag!

I’ve been meaning to stop in since they opened and finally did today. So far so good! I I had three pieces of chicken and a side of black beans. Very tasty. with the daily 20% senior discount it was less than six bucks. The restaurant is bright and clean, and the cheery colorful yellow and red logo(I hope this isn’t construed as a negative.) reminds me a little of «Los Pollos Hermanos» from«Breaking Bad»!

Not as good as the other Pollo Campero locations on Long Island. The fries were cold, the bird was old and no hot sauces to hold. Not happy. At least the restaurant was clean.

Great chicken. Fast service. I wish they didn’t throw out the chicken once it gets dry from cooking too long though… I would take it as free chicken… Great variety of foods. Didn’t enjoy the tamarind juice though… Still great chicken.

I could call this place the KFC of Mexican food. You don’t usually see fast food Mexican restaurants like this one. This place is very good with more than average food. We had take-out so I can’t really comment on service or décor. The food was very good. The chicken was fried until golden brown, which tasted very good. Along with that were sides of rice and beans, which were also very rich in flavor. Not much more I could say about this place, other than I am going back for another try.

So far so great! I just happened upon this new eatery when I was in the neighborhood. Not wanting to commit to too much food, I ordered a spicy chicken empanada. It was gooooooood! Light and crispy pastry and nicely spiced filling… not too hot. Counter staff is particularly cheerful at this place. Whatever you want is no problem. Fill out the survey and get $ 1 off on $ 5…$ 5 off on $ 20…or a free empanada. I just revisited for the free empanada! And… unlike dunkin donuts you do not have to fill out the survey within 3 days. Good luck to this new establishment.

A jolly looking«pollo» mascot looks at the potential customers with a smile and a thumbs up. Alright, much more lively than the colonel. I know there’s a good chance that I will be smiling as well once I’m done eating so inward I go. I walk in and I am already thinking: KFC and Boston Market, but from the west coast. I’m thinking New Mexico. As I look around, I see artwork that radiates Central America culture. The music in the background was ethnically exciting and upbeat. I recognized the song as «En Barranquilla me quedo» by Selena Cruz. This is the exact kind of music that I like to listen to while I’m eating something zesty and well-seasoned. The manager came up to me and asked if I enjoyed my Camparo Beans and Fried chicken. «All I am missing is a cerveza». The manager knew exactly how I felt. I look forward to seeing this establishment thrive.

So we figured this was the KFC of «Latin» food as the ad says. It was pretty good and different. One of these days I’m going to try one of the many store-fronts that populate NY Ave. SIdes were pretty good. While I’m no expert, I’m assuming this was less than authentic. But was solid and something different
