I am a weekly patron of Weekdays; and it’s their tuna salad sandwich, Italian panini, and soup that keeps me coming back. Everything is made-to-order by Cliff, Weekdays’ owner and operator, so sandwiches from here are as fresh as it gets. This place is located in the lower level of the Walt Whitman Atrium and the landlord is concentrating on beautifying the outside of his/her property so upon stepping off the elevator, don’t let the spotty paint job let you turn around to leave. Cliff is a character and his shop is old school so eating at Weekdays can kind of transport you away from work and your day for however long it takes you to eat your lunch. Two more things. As you may have guessed by this establishment’s name, it’s only open on the weekdays and it closes up shop by 4PM. Lastly, since most of your order is practically made on the spot, turnaround time is longer than at other places. You’ve been forewarned, but Weekdays’ goods are worth the wait. Plus, Cliff always has some TV series(Seinfeld, Friends) or concert playing on his TV so you’ll be kept occupied.
